The best mattress stores in and near Asheville, North Carolina

Updated October 18, 2026 · 16 stores, each checked against its own website

The best mattress stores in and near Asheville are Rooms To Go Central, Natural Sleep Mattress and Mattress Firm Central. We rank stores by how many mattress brands you can try in person, then by how many of their delivery, old-bed removal and return policies they post, counting one location per chain. We checked 16 stores within 10 miles of central Asheville, and no store pays to be listed.

  1. Rooms To Go Central: 12 brands to try, including Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster and Sealy. Central Asheville, 1.7 mi, open Sunday; old-bed removal offered, publishes a return policy.
  2. Natural Sleep Mattress: 8 brands to try, including Vispring, Sleeptek and Royalpedic. Arden, 8.1 mi, open Sunday; old-bed removal offered.
  3. Mattress Firm Central: 6 brands to try, including Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster and Purple. Central Asheville, 1.8 mi, open Sunday; old-bed removal offered, publishes a return policy.

A few minutes on a showroom bed will not tell you how it feels after a month at home. Pick a bed you trust from a store whose exchange and return policy you can live with: 10 of the 16 stores here post a policy that lets you return a bed, so read the fees and time limits before you buy.
