The 30-Second Verdict: Quick Summary
Sleepy's suits shoppers who want to try a bed in a Mattress Firm store and can live with thin outside proof. The trial runs 120 nights from delivery date, and the brand charges a $149 fee for an exchange or return. Our lead model is the Basic Foam, an all-foam bed. A Queen costs $499.99, and its warranty page lists 1 year, the shortest of the three terms we recorded.
Want a different build or price? The line has eleven models. The Slumber Cushion Firm is a hybrid with coils, on promotion at $499.99 against a list price of $1,669.99. The Rest Firm is a firm innerspring at $449.99, and the Memory Foam Plush is a soft foam bed at $899.99. Consumer Reports has a page for a Sleepy's foam mattress, but its score is behind a paid membership, so we show none. We never blend scores, and we do not test beds ourselves.

Key Strengths
A long trial with one exchange. The brand offers: "Sleep on it for 120 nights - if you don't love it, we'll help you find a new one or your money back". The fee it lists is an exchange fee of $149.
Many builds under one name. The line has foam, innerspring and coil hybrid beds. A Queen is $449.99 for the Rest Firm, $789.99 for the Memory Foam Medium, and $1,499.99 for the Spring Plush.
Buy and try in one place. The product pages say: "Only at Mattress Firm". Ask a Mattress Firm store which models it has on the floor.
Good to Know
Prices are promotional. We read them on Sep 28 to 29, 2026. The Slumber Cushion Firm lists at $1,669.99 but is on promotion at $499.99, so recheck before you buy.
Returns start after a wait. The brand asks you to sleep on the bed for at least 30 nights, as an adjustment period. The returns section has the full steps.
Warranty length depends on the model. The pages list: "1 Year Limited; 10 Year Limited; 5 Year Limited". The warranty section explains how to find yours.
Three things decide this page: which model fits your budget, how the trial and warranty work, and how much outside proof exists. Sleepy's is sold at Mattress Firm.
Outside review scores
Review sites checked: NapLab, RTINGS, Sleep Foundation, Mattress Clarity, Sleepopolis, Good Housekeeping and Wirecutter, none of which reviewed a Sleepy's bed. Their scores: None found. Model they tested: One foam mattress from Sleepy's at Consumer Reports; its score is behind a paywall. Each site tests in its own way, so read each row on its own.
Sleepy's suits shoppers who want to try a bed in a Mattress Firm store first. The trial runs 120 nights from delivery date, and we have no outside score to show for any model. Read the fee before you buy: the brand charges a $149 fee for an exchange or return.

Review sites checked
We looked for a Sleepy's review at NapLab, RTINGS, Sleep Foundation, Mattress Clarity, Sleepopolis, Good Housekeeping and Wirecutter. We found none.

Outside test scores found
So this page shows no outside test score for any Sleepy's bed. Consumer Reports has a page for a Sleepy's foam mattress, but its score is behind a paid membership.
120 nights
Sleep trial, set by the brand
The brand sets its own trial. It asks for 30 nights of sleep first, then allows one exchange with an exchange fee of $149. This is a store rule, not a test result.
When Sleepy's makes sense
You want to try a bed in a store: the product pages say "Only at Mattress Firm", so start at a Mattress Firm store.
You want a simple firm bed: the Rest Firm is an innerspring with a Firm label. A Queen is $449.99.
You want coils under foam: the Slumber Cushion Firm is a hybrid. A Queen is on promotion at $499.99.
When Another Mattress May Suit You Better
You want an outside score to read: we have none for Sleepy's, so look at brands that publish scores and compare them here.
You want the same warranty on every bed: the terms differ by model. The Basic Foam page lists 1 year, the Rest Firm page 5 years and the Slumber Firm page 10 years.
You want a clear fiberglass answer: most Sleepy's pages do not give one, so ask a store before you buy.

Rated for petite, average and large/tall side sleepers
Main configuration: One foam mattress from Sleepy's at Consumer Reports; its score is behind a paywall. Read each row's testing scope before comparing scores. Each outlet uses its own method, so we don't combine these scores into one rating.
Reading the scores
Why we don't average the scores
There is no outside score for Sleepy's on this page. Consumer Reports has a page for a Sleepy's By Sealy foam mattress, but its score is behind a paid membership, so we show none and never estimate one. We do not test beds ourselves.
Use the dates and sources shown with each result. Prices, models and policies can change.
Chapter 02
Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you
Why this matters to you: Feel labels can mislead, and your own body is the best test. Lie on the feel you want, in your usual sleep position, before you decide.
Sleepy's publishes no fit chart by body weight or sleep position, so we have no sourced pick to give you. It does print a feel label on each model.
The labels in the compare table run from Firm on the Rest Firm to Plush on the Spring Plush. The Slumber Cushion Firm is Medium-firm, the Skye Hybrid is Medium, and the Memory Foam Plush is Plush.
A feel name means different things at different brands, so lie on two feels in a store. The store section shows how to test a bed.
Firmness finder
No sourced pick yet
No fit chart published
Sleepy's publishes no fit chart by body weight or sleep position, and we have no sourced fit ratings by weight. So the finder shows no pick for now. Use the firmness words in the compare table, then lie on two feels in a Mattress Firm store.
Neck: on your side, your nose should line up with the middle of your chest, not tip up or down.
Shoulders: your bottom shoulder should sink in. Tingling or a numb arm means the bed is too firm for you.
Lower back: on your back, slide a flat hand under your waist. A big gap means too firm; no room at all can mean too soft.
Hips: ask someone to look from the side. Hips lower than shoulders means the bed is too soft for you.
Figure 2.1: Four checks to run in a store, lying still in the position you sleep in most. The store test in chapter 11 says how long to lie on each bed.
Chapter 03
Compare the mattresses
Why this matters to you: Sleepy's models differ in build, height and price. Pick the build and the feel first, then compare prices.
The table lists each model side by side: build, height, feel and Queen price. The line runs from a slim foam bed to tall hybrids with coils.
The Basic Foam and both Memory Foam models are all-foam beds. The Rest Firm is an innerspring, and the others are hybrids with coils. Read height, feel and price together, because a taller bed can sit at the same price as a slimmer one. The brand does not publish coil counts, coil gauge or foam weight for most models, and the table marks each gap as not published.

Feel names are the brand's labels, not a scored scale. Heights are Queen size, in inches, as the product pages print them. Prices are promotional.
The Basic Foam is an all-foam bed and the slimmest on this page, at 6.5 inches at Queen. The brand lists 7/8" Medium Comfort Foam over 5.5" Medium Support Foam, under a woven cover.
A Queen costs $499.99. The Memory Foam Medium, at $789.99, is a taller foam bed with memory foam on top.
Before you buy: its warranty page lists 1 year, the shortest of the three terms we recorded, so weigh that against the price. The brand publishes no cooling feature or foam weight for it.

You want a low profile.
Consider Instead If
You want memory foam on top: the Memory Foam Medium, at $789.99.

Chapter 05
How well do the mattresses hold up?
Why this matters to you: A mattress is a long buy. The warranty's sag rule is the one sourced clue to how long a Sleepy's may hold up.
This page holds no lifespan estimate or wear test for any Sleepy's, so the warranty terms are the best guide to durability.
The brand says a dip under 1.5 inches (3/4 inch for smooth top or non-quilted mattresses) is normal settling, not a defect. Warranty length depends on the model, and the warranty section explains how.
The brand does not publish foam weight or coil gauge for most models, and the deep specs table marks each gap as not published. No page we read ties any build to years of use. The warranty section shows how a sag is judged.
What to watch for, and when:
First month: judge the bed after it has settled. The brand's minimum before a return can start is 30 nights.
During the trial: the trial runs 120 nights from delivery date, so look for body dips while you can still exchange the bed.
Any time under warranty: measure a dip before you file a claim. The brand does not count a dip under 1.5 inches (3/4 inch for smooth top or non-quilted mattresses) as a defect.
Every night: keep the bed on a base that meets the rules in the warranty section, or the warranty can be void.

Company History & Model Evolution
The brand's own history, as far as its pages state it. The one dated event here is about the old Sleepy's store chain, not today's mattress line.
This row is about the store chain, not the mattress line. The old Sleepy's was a New York retailer. Mattress Firm later reused the name for its own mattress brand. The pages we read give no launch date for the line.
Not a mattress launch date
Each milestone comes from the brand's own pages, government and court records, or named news reports, each with the date we checked it. Factory suppliers may update minor parts over time.

What the brand doesn't publish
VERIFIEDSold only at Mattress Firm The product pages say: "Only at Mattress Firm".
NOT PUBLISHEDLifespan or durability The brand pages we read give no durability claim or lifespan figure.
VERIFIEDWarranty by model The pages list 1 year for the Basic Foam, 5 years for the Rest Firm and ten years for the By Sealy models we checked.
NOT PUBLISHEDWarranty code per model The warranty follows a 3-digit code on the law tag, and the product pages do not print the code for each model.
VERIFIED120-night trial The trial counts from your delivery date, and the brand asks for 30 nights of sleep first.
NOT PUBLISHEDLaunch year of the line The pages we read give no launch date for the Sleepy's mattress line.
VERIFIED$149 exchange fee The brand lists one exchange for an exchange fee of $149.
NOT PUBLISHEDHistory of the mattress brand We found no history page for the mattress line. The 2015 row above is about the old store chain.
Where sources disagree
One name, two meanings: Sleepy's was an old New York chain and is now a Mattress Firm mattress line. We date the acquisition row to the chain only.
Review pools describe the store: Trustpilot and BBB cover Mattress Firm, not the Sleepy's beds, so they do not settle how a bed holds up.
Warranty years differ by model: the Basic Foam, Rest Firm and Slumber Firm pages list 1, 5 and 10 years, so no one number fits the line. We did not record the term for the other eight models.
Chapter 06
Sleep trials, returns, exchanges and fees
Why this matters to you: Return rules decide what a home trial really costs. Check the wait, the fee and the tag rule before you order.
The brand offers: "Sleep on it for 120 nights - if you don't love it, we'll help you find a new one or your money back". The fee it lists is a $149 fee for an exchange or return.
A return cannot start right away. The brand asks for at least 30 nights as an adjustment period. The active window is 120 days from delivery, and you may exchange your mattress once, with an exchange fee of $149. The brand allows one exchange and/or one return per purchase, and the fee applies to both. Card refunds take seven to ten business days, and paper check refunds take two to four weeks. We found no sourced detail on who picks up the bed, so ask before you rely on a return.

The brand states the fee as an exchange fee of $149. Some items sit outside the trial. The brand lists: "Clearance, outlet, preowned merchandise, floor and display models, pillows, mattress protectors, bases". Its tag rule, in its words: "keeping all original tags on your mattress. If you remove the original (white) law tag from the mattress or foundation, it will void the 120 Night Sleep Trial". The brand also will not exchange or refund a stained, unsanitary or damaged mattress. Keep the bed clean and the tags on.
Swapping for a new feel: the brand lists the swap cost as an exchange fee of $149. Its note says: "Exchange allowed once; original mattress credit applied to new purchase". The brand does not say whether a fresh trial follows, so ask.
Check the terms for your seller and order date before buying from Sleepy's.
Chapter 07
Delivery, setup and old-mattress removal
Why this matters to you: A mattress is heavy and bulky. Confirm the delivery date and whether you want your old bed removed.
The brand gives no delivery wait time on the pages we read. Ask for a delivery date before you pay.
The brand says: "We offer free, safe shipping to your door". We hold no sourced price for setup or old-mattress removal, so ask what they cost before you order. The price you compare is the promotional price of the bed itself, such as $899.99 for a Queen Skye Hybrid.
Typical wait: Not published
Order: buy at Mattress Firm, in a store or on its site.
Wait: the brand gives no wait window, so ask for a date.
Setup: ask whether setup and old-bed removal are offered, and what they cost.
First nights: note your delivery date, because the trial runs 120 nights from delivery date.

Chapter 08
Terms checked on the brand's site · recheck before you buy
What do the warranties cover?
Why this matters to you:The years on the label depend on the model. The wrong base can also void the warranty, so check both before you buy.
The pages list: "1 Year Limited; 10 Year Limited; 5 Year Limited". The length depends on the model, and the warranty text ties it to a code on your law tag.
Of the three pages we recorded, the Basic Foam page shows the shortest term (1 year), the Rest Firm page a middle one (5 years), and the Slumber Firm page the longest (10 years). The warranty text says the period follows the code on the law tag, and the product pages do not print that code. Some terms cover the full period, and others become prorated after an early year, so ask which one your bed has. Clearance, outlet, display and floor items carry no warranty.
How a sag is judged: the brand calls a dip under 1.5 inches (3/4 inch for smooth top or non-quilted mattresses) normal settling, not a manufacturing defect. Base rules matter. If slats are used, the gaps must not be wider than two inches, and a solid platform must sit on top of them. Damage from bending a bed that is not made for an adjustable base is not covered. The brand publishes no box spring rule.
The full warranty schedule is not in a cell we can cite. If a claim looks likely, ask which law tag code your model has and what each year covers before you buy.
Covered when the dip is deeper than 1.5 inches (3/4 inch for smooth top or non-quilted mattresses), measured with nobody on the bed.
Strip the bed down to the mattress and wait a few hours so the top layers can recover.
Lay a straight edge (a broom handle or long level) across the dip, resting on the flat parts.
Measure from the edge down to the deepest point, then photograph the ruler for your claim.

Customer reviews and complaints
Why this matters to you: A store score is not a bed score. These pools describe Mattress Firm as a company, so use them to judge the seller, not the mattress.
Trustpilot shows 2.0 (Poor) from 462 reviews, and the BBB rating is C. Both describe Mattress Firm, the store that sells Sleepy's, not the Sleepy's beds. Sleepy's has no Trustpilot page of its own.
How we read the reviews
We read two pools: Trustpilot and the BBB profile, both for Mattress Firm.
We never add the pools together. Each one counts a different group of people.
We counted scores and totals. We did not sort reviews by cause.
The BBB page is for Mattress Firm, the parent store. Its rating is C, which is BBB's own letter grade, not a customer star score. The number 881 is complaints filed, not reviews. The Trustpilot pool is named "Mattress Firm Reviews".
Read each platform on its own: who runs it, its rating scale, how many reviews it has, and the date we checked it.
Reported praise and concerns:
We did not sort reviews by cause, so this page ranks no complaints.
Read the low-star reviews yourself on Trustpilot and BBB before you buy, and remember they describe the store.

Chapter 10
What are the mattresses made of?
Why this matters to you: Foam names and seals are just labels until you know what they cover. Knowing what each claim covers tells you what to ask before you pay and what to look for on your law tag.
Sleepy's lists layers and foam names on each product page, and the table sums them up in plain words. The brand gives few foam weights or coil counts.
For the Slumber Cushion Firm, the brand lists: "Individually wrapped coil system". Most pages do not say whether a bed uses fiberglass, and only some name a fire barrier. The Spring Plush pages list: "Whisper Shield FR Fiber".

Safety labels, and what each one covers
Sleepy's product pages name one federal rule. Here is what it covers:
1633
Federal Flammability Standard, 16 CFR 1633
Mattress meets 16 CFR 1633 when used alone or with the foundations listed on the 1633 law label
The brand's product pages say the bed meets this rule when used alone or with the foundations named on its law label. They name no other certification.
What these labels do and don't prove
The fire rule is a maker statement, not a lab certificate. The brand says: "Mattress meets 16 CFR 1633 when used alone or with the foundations listed on the 1633 law label". We found no CertiPUR-US, OEKO-TEX or GREENGUARD claim on the eleven product pages we read.
Read your law tag
How to read the law tag in three steps
Why this matters to you: The sewn law tag is where the maker lists what is inside. The brand also says your warranty period follows the code on it. Sales pages change, so your own bed's tag is the one to trust.
Law tag guide
How to read a Sleepy's law tag
A law tag is sewn to your own mattress. We have no copy of a Sleepy's tag, and the product pages do not print its code, so this section explains where to look, not what one says.
The three steps
1
Check the cover
The tag is sewn to the mattress. Match the model name on your tag to the bed you bought. Then compare the cover fibers with the product page. For the Slumber Cushion Firm, the brand lists Super Soft Stretch Knit Rayon Cover, Rayon Fiber.
2
Check the fillings
The tag lists what fills the bed. Compare the foam names with the brand's layer list. For the Slumber Cushion Firm, the brand lists 7/8" Gel Poly Foam in Quilt, 1.25" Firm Foam over 8" Caliber Edge Pocketed Coils.
3
Check for glass fiber
Look for the words glass fiber or silica. Most Sleepy's pages do not say whether the bed has fiberglass. The Spring Plush pages name a fire barrier with fiber in its name, so ask the seller what it is.
Full law tag guide, factory code decoding, and the certificate glossary live on our shared safety page.
How to read this: the law tag, the brand's own statements, and certificates each cover different things. A spec the brand doesn't publish isn't proof it's missing; it just isn't shared.
Chapter 11
Where can you try and buy the mattresses?
Why this matters to you:Lying on a bed tells you more than any spec sheet. Do it in your usual sleep position.
The product pages say: "Only at Mattress Firm". Call a Mattress Firm store to ask which models it has, and try the bed before you buy.
Before you pay, ask a store three things: the trial terms, the exchange fee and whether the floor model matches the bed you would order.

How to test a bed in the store
Give each bed enough time to feel where your hips and shoulders sink, lying the way you sleep.
Bring your own pillow so the test matches home.
Try two feels back to back, such as the Rest Firm (Firm) and the Memory Foam Plush (Plush).
Compare price and feel together: a Queen Memory Foam Medium is $789.99, and a Queen Skye Hybrid is $899.99. Both are promotional prices, and the trial runs 120 nights from delivery date.
Remember the trial rules exclude floor and display models, so the bed you test in the store is not the bed the trial covers.

Sleepy's vs. other mattress brands
Why this matters to you: A rival helps only when it is compared on the same facts. Use the price and build lines, not the name, to compare.
This page holds one checked rival for Sleepy's, the Tulo Green Tea hybrid. We list a rival only when its price and build are read on the same day.
The Tulo Green Tea Plush Hybrid is sold at Mattress Firm. Its Queen price is $899.99, and its spec line reads: "Individually wrapped pocketed coils". Compare it with the Sleepy's hybrids, such as the Skye Hybrid at $899.99 and the Spring Stella Medium at $999.99.
These prices were read on Sep 28 to 29, 2026. We hold no outside score for the Sleepy's beds or this rival, so this is a price and build comparison only.

How we research and report
What we read for this page and what stays unknown. Each number names its source.
Why this review exists: Sleepy's is a mattress line sold at Mattress Firm, and its name also belongs to an old New York store chain. We read the brand's pages, and we date each read.
We do not test beds ourselves. We report what the brand and named sites publish, and we say when a fact is not published.
How we check this page
What we read: Sleepy's product and policy pages at Mattress Firm, its warranty page, and the Trustpilot and BBB pages for Mattress Firm.
Dates: we read prices on Sep 28 to 29, 2026.
Proof first: a claim needs a named source. If we cannot find a fact, we say so.
No mixed scores: each site keeps its own scale.

Stage 02Test results
Outside test results
We hold no outside test score for Sleepy's. Consumer Reports keeps its score behind a paid membership, so we show none.
Stage 03Safety
Fire safety papers and the law tag
We read the brand's fire rule statement. We did not review fire test filings, so we cite none, and we found no certification named on the product pages.

Outside pressure and motion tests
We show an outside score only as the site gives it, on that site's own scale, beside the bed it tested. We never blend scores.

Quick Answers
Quick Answers Before You Buy
Short answers to the questions buyers ask most, with the section that gives the detail.
The trial runs 120 nights from delivery date, and the brand charges a $149 fee for an exchange or return. The warranty pages list: "1 Year Limited; 10 Year Limited; 5 Year Limited". A Queen Slumber Cushion Firm is on promotion at $499.99.
Prices and promotions change, and we read them on Sep 28 to 29, 2026, so look again before you buy. We do not test beds ourselves. If a question is not answered here, the brand's own pages and a store visit are the next places to look.
Safety and materials
Do Sleepy's mattresses meet the federal fire rule?
The brand says they do. It states: "Mattress meets 16 CFR 1633 when used alone or with the foundations listed on the 1633 law label". That is a maker statement, not a lab certificate.
Do Sleepy's mattresses contain fiberglass?
Most pages do not say. The Spring Plush pages list a fire barrier called "Whisper Shield FR Fiber". Ask the seller what the fiber is before you buy.
Can I remove the law tag from my Sleepy's mattress?
Not during the trial. The brand's tag rule, in its words: "keeping all original tags on your mattress. If you remove the original (white) law tag from the mattress or foundation, it will void the 120 Night Sleep Trial". Leave every tag on until you are sure you are keeping the bed.
Buying and policies
How long is the Sleepy's trial, and what does it cost?
The trial runs 120 nights from delivery date. The brand charges a $149 fee for an exchange or return. It asks for at least 30 nights of sleep on the bed before a return can start.
How long is the Sleepy's warranty?
It depends on the model. The pages list: "1 Year Limited; 10 Year Limited; 5 Year Limited". The warranty text says the period follows the code on your law tag, so ask which code your bed has.
How much is a Queen Slumber Cushion Firm?
$499.99 on promotion, against a list price of $1,669.99. That is the price we saw when we read it. Promotions can end within days, so look again before you buy.
