Policy / 01

We can publish a negative finding.

A costly return, missing specification, policy conflict, regulatory record, or recurring complaint theme may be reported when it is relevant and supported. The publication preserves the source, records the date, checks whether the information remains current, and distinguishes allegation from established fact.

Core rule

Criticize the documented product, policy, claim, or conduct. Do not invent a motive, imply a defect rate from anecdotes, or turn an unresolved complaint into a verdict.

Owner reports are labeled and bounded.

A review can establish that a person reported an experience. It does not by itself prove the technical cause, frequency across all owners, or current-model relevance. Summaries must name the platform, self-selection problem, version problem, and missing context.

Precise language beats dramatic language.

  • “The warranty states…” instead of predicting what the company will do in every case.
  • “We could not locate a numeric density” instead of claiming the company deliberately hides one.
  • “Owners reported…” instead of converting voluntary anecdotes into a measured defect rate.
  • “In our analysis…” for an interpretation resting on clearly identified facts.

Serious allegations such as fraud, illegality, safety defects, deliberate deception, or widespread failure require correspondingly strong evidence and qualified legal review. This policy is not legal advice.

Policy / 04

Material adverse findings get a fair reply process.

Before publishing a substantial accusation rather than a plain reading of an already-public policy, the company should receive the exact issue, supporting material, and a reasonable opportunity to respond. A response is quoted or summarized fairly; no response is described with the deadline.

Policy / 05

Corrections are part of the record.

Factual errors are corrected promptly. Material corrections receive a dated note. When a model or policy changes, the current record is updated and the earlier version is retained when it materially affected the conclusion.

When a material correction is made, the affected research page receives a dated note describing what changed.

Policy / 06

Affiliate money is disclosed, not disguised.

The publisher currently has an affiliate relationship with Saatva. A clearly labeled paid link may produce a commission at no additional cost to the reader. Current product and citation links are ordinary, untracked links and are labeled that way.

A paid relationship does not guarantee positive coverage, and a company without a program is not excluded from comparisons. Document research is never presented as personal sleeping experience.
