The best mattress stores in and near Kalamazoo, Michigan

Updated October 18, 2026 · 14 stores, each checked against its own website

The best mattress stores in and near Kalamazoo are Denver Mattress Portage, Ashley Northwest and Mattress Firm West. We rank stores by how many mattress brands you can try in person, then by how many of their delivery, old-bed removal and return policies they post, counting one location per chain. We checked 14 stores within 10 miles of central Kalamazoo, and no store pays to be listed.

  1. Denver Mattress Portage: 7 brands to try, including Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster and Purple. Portage, 4.1 mi, open Sunday; old-bed removal offered, publishes a return policy.
  2. Ashley Northwest: 7 brands to try, including Tempur-Pedic, Purple and Sealy. Northwest Kalamazoo, 3.5 mi, open Sunday; delivery and return terms not listed, so call to ask.
  3. Mattress Firm West: 4 brands to try, including Tempur-Pedic, Sealy and Beautyrest. West Kalamazoo, 3.9 mi; old-bed removal offered, publishes a return policy.

A few minutes on a showroom bed will not tell you how it feels after a month at home. Pick a bed you trust from a store whose exchange and return policy you can live with: only 5 of the 14 stores here post a policy that lets you return a bed.
