The 12-inch Quilted Hybrid adds coils and a pillow top for $399.99. You can expect fast delivery, 10-year limited warranties and Amazon's 90-day returns. You won't get showrooms or a brand sleep trial. If you're buying on a budget and don't mind buying sight unseen, it's worth a look.

If you sleep on your back or stomach, look at the 12-inch gel memory foam in its medium or medium-firm Cooling Gel build. The 10-inch gives you a lower profile. If you sleep on your side, the Quilted Hybrid is the plushest Vibe, with a medium-plush euro pillow top and a conforming quilted cover.

Couples get limited motion disturbance and extra breathability from the hybrid's wrapped coils. The 12-inch gel line is the quieter all-foam option. No Vibe mattress is sold as an active-cooling bed. Gel-infused foam and the Cooling Quilted pad are the only cooling claims we found.

Inflation has 560 mentions (317 positive, 243 negative), with some beds only reaching about 8 inches. Odor has 587 (407 positive, 180 negative). One review warns the bed leaked fiberglass.

The Quilted Hybrid holds 4.4 out of 5 from 6,755 ratings (71, 15, 6, 3 and 5 percent). Customers report comfortable nights, better sleep and no awful smell. They disagree on firmness, inflation (it expands within an hour versus never reaching 12 inches) and durability. Smaller lines are weaker.
