Wander & Rest Mattress Review
Wander & Rest is Lippert's in-house RV mattress line. You can get an 8-inch Standard from $279.95 or a 10-inch Euro-top Comfort from $449.95. Both come in Short Queen through King RV sizes. The foams are fiberglass-free and CertiPUR-US certified. You get a 10-year warranty and free lower-48 shipping. But there's no sleep trial, and returns carry a 20% restocking fee. Independent reviews are very few so far.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?
Side sleepers and couples who want pressure relief should look at the Comfort 10 in Euro top. It has gel flex foam and Smart Foam over the base. Back and stomach sleepers who want firmer support for less should look at the Standard 8 in with its 6 in high-density base. Dealer Elkhart RV Parts describes the feel as medium-firm.
Hot sleepers get gel-infused foam and breathable covers on both. But the brand doesn't publish cooling test data or phase-change materials, so cooling is a manufacturer claim only. If you're heavy or want coil bounce and edge support, neither model has coils or reinforced edges. A hybrid RV mattress may suit you better.
For tight bunks and short platforms, choose the Short Queen 60x75 in either model. For RV king slides and wider couples, choose the Narrow King 72x80 or King 76x80. Full-timers should treat the Comfort as the upgrade. The Standard is the value and spare-bed pick.
Mattress prices and value
These are Lippert.com direct prices in September 2026. The Standard 8 in costs $279.95 for Short Queen, $299.95 for Queen, $329.95 for Narrow King and $349.95 for King. The Comfort 10 in costs $449.95 for Short Queen, $479.95 for Queen, $499.95 for Narrow King and $569.95 for King. Both ship free in the US lower 48 only. Both were still flagged New on Lippert.com.
Dealer pricing varies. Authorized Lippert dealer Elkhart RV Parts showed sale prices of $229.95 (Standard Short Queen), $249.95 (Standard Queen) and $399.95 (Comfort Short Queen). Camping World showed $349.99 for the Standard Short Queen and $499.99 for the Comfort Narrow King, with discounts and promotions excluded on the item.
It's fair for an OEM-authentic RV mattress with a 10-year warranty and free shipping. The dealer sale prices are genuinely lower than direct. But there's no trial. Change-of-mind returns cost you return freight plus a 20% restocking fee. The brand doesn't publish foam densities or any certification beyond CertiPUR-US. That caps the value story against trial-friendly direct brands.
What are the mattresses made of?
The Standard 8 in has 2 in of gel-infused polyurethane flex foam over a 6 in supportive base foam. The cover is quilted 100% polyester with fire-retardant cotton. It's all-foam, with no coils, and fiberglass-free. The foams are CertiPUR-US certified.
The Comfort 10 in has a Euro-top build. It combines 1 in of padding in the cover and a 1.5 in latex-like Smart Foam layer. Under those is 2 in of swirl gel-infused polyurethane flex foam over a 5.5 in supportive base foam. The polyester cover has fire-retardant construction. It's all-foam, with no coils, fiberglass-free and CertiPUR-US certified.
Both ship compressed, and Lippert says they fully decompress within 24 hours. Both product pages carry a California Prop 65 cancer and reproductive harm warning. Lippert says both are designed, assembled and finished in North Carolina. The brand doesn't publish foam densities or ILD values. We found no certifications beyond CertiPUR-US, such as GREENGUARD Gold, GOTS or GOLS (checked September 2026).
How well do the mattresses hold up?
Durability is claimed, not independently tested. Lippert points to the 6 in supportive base (Standard) and 5.5 in base (Comfort) for long-term stability and spinal alignment. It backs both with a 10-year warranty. The Standard adds a 1-year compression guarantee. Dealer Elkhart RV Parts markets the Standard as having durable materials that resist sagging, with OEM-quality construction.
We found no independent durability testing. The brand doesn't publish foam densities, ILD or sag-depth thresholds. So you can't verify longevity independently (checked September 2026). One caution on stock: Elkhart RV Parts flagged the Standard Short Queen (item 2025075429) as discontinued by the manufacturer. Lippert.com still listed it as a current New product in September 2026. Check stock on that size before you order.
Customer reviews and complaints
Reviews are very thin because the line is new. Lippert.com product pages show no review module and no star ratings. Camping World shows aggregate ratings of 4.5 out of 5 for the Standard RV Mattress and 4.1 out of 5 for the Comfort RV Mattress. But it didn't show a review count or review text on the pages we checked in September 2026. Dealer Elkhart RV Parts showed no reviews on its Standard listing.
We found no independent expert reviews from GoodBed, Sleepopolis, Mattress Clarity or Sleep Foundation. We found no complaint threads on Reddit, YouTube or forums we could reach. Watch out for a similar name. Searches often surface WanderRest Cool Hybrid by RV Mattress Solutions on Amazon. That's an unrelated brand, and those reviews aren't for Lippert's Wander & Rest.
For context, rival RV mattresses at Camping World carry public counts. Brooklyn Bedding Dreamfoam 6 in has 3.5/5 from 109 reviews. CozyRelief 10 in Luxe Hybrid has 3.6/5 from 6 reviews. Innerspace 5.5 in has 3.3/5 from 29. So a market benchmark exists, even though Wander & Rest hasn't built one yet.
Where can you try and buy?
You can buy direct at lippert.com with free shipping in the US lower 48, or through RV retailers and Lippert dealers. As of September 2026, Camping World lists both mattresses. They ship from the vendor with free shipping. In-store pickup is not available. The item is excluded from discounts. Elkhart RV Parts of Elkhart, Indiana, calls itself an authorized Lippert dealer and discounts the line. etrailer lists Wander & Rest items with staff demo videos. The videos we saw covered bedding, not the mattresses. Lippert also runs a Find a Dealer locator.
The brand doesn't publish a showroom, floor-model or in-store tryout program for these mattresses. The line sells online, and Lippert publishes no sleep trial. So a test nap isn't really available. They're built for RV bed platforms, sold as OEM-authentic product, and come only in four RV sizes.
Delivery, setup and removal
Shipping is free to the US lower 48 only from Lippert.com. Lippert's policy page says it ships anywhere in the US and Canada via FedEx or LTL. Canadian and other international orders carry extra taxes and brokerage fees. Both mattresses ship compressed in a box, so they handle easily through tight RV doors. They fully decompress within 24 hours.
Lippert lists the Standard shipping pack at about 15.7 x 41.7 x 15.7 in and 60.21 lb. The Comfort pack is about 18.9 x 41.7 x 18.9 in and 73.14 lb. Product pages say it usually ships in 3 to 4 business days. You get ZIP-based delivery estimates at checkout and tracking by email.
Setup is DIY. You unbox it and let it expand. It isn't white-glove. Camping World shows an add-on installation service at checkout for eligible items, but mattress setup isn't specifically confirmed. The brand doesn't publish old-mattress removal (checked September 2026).
Sleep trial and returns
There's no sleep trial. Lippert publishes no trial period or comfort guarantee for these mattresses. The only window is the general return policy. If you change your mind, tell Lippert in writing within 10 days of receipt. Return the item within 30 days of delivery at your own shipping cost. Lippert refunds the item price plus applicable taxes, less a flat 20% restocking fee. The fee doesn't apply to your original shipping cost.
For a defective, damaged or wrong item, contact Lippert within 10 days. Lippert sends an RMA, covers return shipping and charges no restocking fee. Returns must be like-new and resaleable. Custom-ordered configurations and installed parts may be ineligible. Cancellation is accepted only within 1 hour of the order confirmation email. Lippert doesn't publish a separate exchange program for mattresses.
If you buy from Camping World instead, its own policy lets you return most unused items within 90 days. You get a refund or exchange, minus shipping. That's more generous than buying direct. All terms are as published in September 2026.
Warranty
Both mattresses list a 10-year warranty. The Standard also lists a 1-year compression guarantee covering the compressed shipping state. Lippert doesn't publish the mattress warranty text on the product pages. The pages point you to Lippert support (support.lci1.com, customerservice@lci1.com, 432-LIPPERT) for details. We found no mattress-specific warranty PDF (checked September 2026).
Lippert doesn't confirm in writing sag-depth thresholds, prorating, transferability, whether coverage is original-purchaser only, or whether the remedy is repair or replacement. Camping World's spec list repeats the 10-year warranty without adding terms. Treat 10 years as a stated length, not a verified coverage promise. Confirm details with Lippert before you rely on it.
Wander & Rest vs. other brands
Lippert's own Thomas Payne Signature mattresses are its established RV line, with 6 in, 8 in and 10 in options in the same RV sizes. Thomas Payne wins on thickness choice. Wander & Rest wins on a simpler two-model ladder and a Euro-top comfort option.
Camping World shelf rivals have more social proof. Brooklyn Bedding Dreamfoam Essential has 109 reviews at 3.5/5 for the 6 in and 104 at 4.8/5 for the 10 in medium-firm. CozyRelief 10 in Luxe Hybrid shows 3.6/5 from 6 reviews, and Innerspace 5.5 in shows 3.3/5 from 29. Rivals win on reviews and often on price. Wander & Rest wins on being OEM-authentic Lippert product with a 10-year warranty and free shipping.
Residential direct brands beat it on sleep trials, free returns, hybrid coil options, foam-density openness and certification breadth. Wander & Rest wins on true RV sizes and compressed delivery. Custom RV mattress specialists build odd shapes. Wander & Rest covers only four standard RV sizes, so custom bunks and curves are out.
How we put this review together
We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.
