Tommy Bahama Mattress Review
Tommy Bahama isn't a mattress maker. It's a lifestyle line licensed to Therapedic. The five current builds are Bay Breeze, Santorini Dreams, Bermuda Breeze, Capri Comfort and Ultimate Tight Top. Florida licensee Sleep International helped design them. You can only buy them through dealers, at roughly $999 to $2,999. Therapedic doesn't publish specs, prices or online checkout for the line. Trials and returns are set by each store, and warranty terms depend on a code on the law tag. You'll want to test a bed in person.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?
Side sleepers who want pressure relief should look at Santorini Dreams or Capri Comfort. Ocean Ease, a latex pillow top you'll see on dealer floors, adds latex buoyancy. Back and stomach sleepers who want a flatter surface should start with the Bay Breeze or the Ultimate Tight Top. The Ultimate adds an organic wool layer and an extra-firm base.
Every model has TheraWrap 5-zone wrapped coils, which help with motion separation and edge support. Hot sleepers should favor the cooling covers, gel foams, the QuadTech layer and coil airflow. Current covers use EcoFiber and Ionexis. 2025 press mentions Glacier Touch with Lycra. If you're a heavier sleeper, ask dealers about coil counts and edge support, since no weight ratings are published.
The brand doesn't publish firmness labels or ILD numbers per model (checked September 2026). Therapedic's 2025 market statements say the line spans hybrid and foam builds. So compare in person, not by name.
Mattress prices and value
Therapedic doesn't publish prices for the five current models. You'll have to read value from news and dealer tags, so you can't price a model online. Retail ranges were $999 to $2,199 for the 2022 line and $999 to $2,499 at the April 2025 High Point showing. At that showing the Ultimate and two organic hybrids were $2,499, foam series were $1,999 and bed-in-a-box was $1,699. The six October 2025 High Point models ran $999 to $2,499. The refreshed January 2026 collection runs $999 to $2,999.
Kane's Furniture in Florida lists these queens. Drift Away Firm and Plush is $999. Nautical Smiles Hybrid is $1,199. Time To Coast Pillow Top is $1,299. Seas The Day is $1,399. Sail Away Hybrid is $1,699.99. Ocean Ease Latex Pillow Top is $1,999.99. The Ocean Ease king is $2,499.99. Baer's shows the Ultimate Euro Top and Tight Top with quote-only pricing.
Pricing is mid to upper for a licensed line, and dealers set their own sales. Nothing's sold direct, so you can't price-check online. Compare it with the dealer's house brands and online hybrids at the same price.
What are the mattresses made of?
All five models use Therapedic's house technologies. These include cooling stretch covers with EcoFiber and Ionexis yarns, antimicrobial protection and glass-free flame-retardant solutions. They also use TheraCool gel foams, MemoryTouch memory foam (1.5-in to 2-in), TheraSponse transition foams and extra-firm bases. The coils are TheraWrap 5-zone individually wrapped coils with TheraFoam edge support.
DuraCoil Mini micro-coils appear in the Bermuda Breeze and Ultimate. The patented iFlex quilt has over 2,040 micro coils and appears in the Capri Comfort and Ultimate. The Bermuda Breeze has the QuadTech layer with copper, silver and graphite. The Ultimate Tight Top adds GOTS certified organic wool. Foams carry the CertiPUR-US badge, and the beds work with adjustable bases. Therapedic says the collection is crafted in the USA.
Older lines used Floating Foam center zones, TheraCool Copper Gel Quilt and Memory Touch Copper Visco Gel. They also used Serene Foam, Repreve recycled fibers and Sanitize antimicrobial finishing (2015 and 2022 launches). The brand doesn't publish mattress heights, foam densities, layer thickness beyond the listed specs, or total coil counts for four of five models (checked September 2026).
How well do the mattresses hold up?
Durability guidance is general. Therapedic's FAQ says body impressions are normal, so you shouldn't expect a flawless surface. It says a warranty isn't the expected useful life. It recommends rotating the mattress and using a protector. The Better Sleep Council suggests replacing a mattress about every seven years. GoodBed lists average lifespan as N/A. No sag test data is published.
The review site MattressNut says users flagged sagging or center dips within three to five years on the older innerspring line. It says hybrids fared better. Therapedic hasn't confirmed that. GoodBed owner reviews include reports of visible dips alongside happy long-term owners. So you should check edge support and ask about body-impression limits before you buy.
Customer reviews and complaints
GoodBed rates the Therapedic Tommy Bahama line 80/100 (Very Good) from 57 owner experiences. Back Support is 54, Pressure Relief 57, Sleep Quality 57 and Stays Cool 62. Value, Warranty Service and Average Lifespan show N/A. Only 5 of those include written reviews.
Ron of Rotonda West, FL (Sep 23, 2024) loved his bed after six months. Jenny of Unity, ME (Sep 20, 2022) said she'd return it in a heartbeat. Therapedic's Jennifer Severini asked her to call 1-800-314-4433. Mary of Seminole, FL (Dec 22, 2019) reported a large visible dip. Debbie of Winter Garden, FL (May 25, 2025) rated support, pressure relief and coolness 1/5. Chris of Jensen Beach, FL (Jan 14, 2026) rated back support 2/5.
We found no BBB complaint listing or brand-level review hub for the line. Most complaints are about comfort preference, not defects. Customer service goes through the selling dealer or the factory line at 800-314-4433.
Where can you try and buy?
Therapedic sells through dealers, not direct. You can use the Find a Store locator with a 5 to 50 mile radius, or call the nearest factory at 800-314-4433. ShopTherapedic, the brand's Shop From Home outlet, had no Tommy Bahama results in September 2026.
Dealers we confirmed include Baer's Furniture (16 Florida stores) and Kane's Furniture (about 17 Florida locations). Rooms To Go carries the Tommy Bahama Kids models Bay Dreamer, Make Waves and Seaside Serenity. The Bedding Group, the Therapedic licensee in Rock Island, IL and Minneapolis, MN, lists a Tommy Bahama Home innerspring and hybrid collection. Mattress Resources Australia is the Therapedic Australia licensee.
Trade buyers can see it at Las Vegas Market showroom B-946 and High Point's Soundstage USA space 214. The brand doesn't publish store counts or a full dealer list (checked September 2026).
Delivery, setup and removal
Delivery, setup and old-mattress removal are dealer services. Therapedic's FAQ says most bedding stores help with disposal of old bedding. It advises you to ask before you buy. No national delivery or haul-away terms are published.
Kane's Furniture delivers most orders in 3 to 10 days with a four-hour window. It needs 72-hour change notice, has a no-contact option and charges $69.99 for white-glove bedding delivery. It caps stairs at the third floor. It offers free next-day delivery on select premium mattresses, including Tommy Bahama (Twin XL from $1,099, full and queen from $1,299, king from $1,599). Baer's offers delivery tracking on its site. Other setup, removal fees and delivery windows vary by store, so get terms in writing.
Sleep trial and returns
There's no brand-wide sleep trial, return or exchange program. Therapedic's FAQ tells you to contact the store first. The brand doesn't publish exchange fees, restocking charges or return windows (checked September 2026).
Trials are set by each store. MattressNut says 30 nights is common at stores carrying the line. That's short next to the 100 to 365 night trials from online brands. Some stores offer comfort exchanges instead of refunds. You should get the trial length, return and exchange windows, fees and condition rules in writing before you buy.
Warranty
Each mattress has a limited warranty. Its term depends on the code on the law tag. Therapedic's FAQ says the term varies and points you to the Limited Warranty Guide that came with the bed. A claim needs the original store receipt and the law tag.
The Therapedic Worldwide Limited Warranty Guide, as posted by Rooms To Go, maps law-tag codes to terms of 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 years. Non-prorated periods run from 1 to 25 years. WP is 15 years total with 10 non-prorated. WF is 25 years fully non-prorated. WC is 10 years with 5 non-prorated. It covers workmanship and material defects, loose or broken coils, and body impressions beyond set limits. Those are over 1.5 in for innerspring, over 1 in for specialty and over 0.75 in for direct contact. You'll need a matching foundation and a center-supported frame.
It excludes transport and inspection costs, comfort preference, cover damage, stains, abuse, floor samples and bedding height. Repair or replacement is at the maker's option, for the original purchaser only. Rooms To Go lists the Tommy Bahama Kids beds as 10 year limited, Code I-WP. The brand doesn't publish a code list for the five current 2026 models.
Tommy Bahama vs. other brands
Margaritaville by Kingsdown is also a licensed resort line sold through dealers at similar prices. Therapedic's other partnership line is Kathy Ireland. It shares the factory network and dealer channel but has different styling. Within Therapedic, Tommy Bahama sits below the premium Lloyd and Penfield lines, where queens retail for $1,799 to $3,999. It overlaps the newer Alternativ collection at $1,299 to $2,499.
Online hybrids such as Saatva, Amerisleep and Puffy win on published prices, 100 to 365 night trials and gathered reviews. Tommy Bahama wins on in-store testing and dealer service. Against Serta, Sealy and Beautyrest, it competes on lifestyle name and design at similar prices. It loses on spec transparency, consistent model names and availability outside its dealers.
How we put this review together
We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.
