Titan Mattress Review

Titan Mattress is the plus-size line from Arizona factory-direct maker Brooklyn Bedding. You can buy three heavy-duty hybrids online: the firm Plus Core, the plusher Plus Luxe and the dual-coil Plus Elite. All three are designed for about 1,000 lbs. The standouts are the limited lifetime warranty, the 120-night trial and queen prices from $1,399. If you're a lighter sleeper, you'll probably find even the Luxe too firm. If you're a bigger sleeper who wants edge support and a firm feel, it's worth a look.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

Back and stomach sleepers should look at the Plus Core. It's the firmest, with a flat surface. Sleep Foundation scores it firm 8 of 10 and 8.9 of 10 overall, and rates it highly for back sleepers over 230 lbs. Sleep Foundation says the Luxe is medium firm 6 of 10, and NapLab notes it's among top options over 300 lbs. The Plus Elite suits back sleepers who want medium-firm support.

Side sleepers are the target for the Plus Luxe, which has the deepest foam cushioning. Mattress Clarity lists pressure relief as its weakest category at 3.3 of 5, so very pressure-sensitive sleepers should compare rivals. Combination sleepers do best on the Luxe or Elite, since the Core contours very little.

Hot sleepers get gel-infused foam and breathable coils on all three. NapLab gave the Elite a perfect 10 for cooling. Sleep Foundation rated the Core 8.5 of 10 and the Luxe 7.5 of 10 for temperature control. Couples should look at the Luxe for balance and the Elite for motion isolation. The brand does not publish firmness-by-weight guidance (checked September 2026).

What are the mattresses made of?

All three are hybrids built in Brooklyn Bedding's Phoenix, Arizona factory. The brand says every mattress is GREENGUARD Gold certified and uses CertiPUR-US certified foams. NapLab notes the Plus Elite is fiberglass-free. The Plus Core lists a 3.25-in foam stack and is 12 in. It has gel foam, TitanFlex foam with TitaniumGel and an 8-in TitanCore unit of up to 900 encased coils.

The Plus Luxe is 13 in and adds 1-in Supreme Response transition foam. The Plus Elite is 14 in, with about 5.25 in of foam. It has a cooling pillow top, a micro-coil layer for zoned contouring, 1-in Variflex foam and 1-in high-density base foam. The brand says it's finished with hand-sewn detailing. The coils are about 13.5-gauge, per the brand blog and NapLab. The brand doesn't publish foam densities or ILD ratings (checked September 2026). It makes no latex or organic claims.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

Durability is the core pitch. The brand says the coil core can hold over 1,200 lbs, while the mattress is rated for about 1,000 lbs. NapLab describes the Elite rating as 500 lbs per side. A third-party lab ran the hybrid through 200,000 rollator rolls, double the industry norm.

The original Titan Plus is cited at about 11 to 11.25 in. Sleep Foundation lists a Luxe deal price of $1,166 and NapLab cites $1,049 for the queen. Sleep Foundation gave the Plus Core 8.5 of 10 for durability and the Luxe 7.5 of 10. NapLab's overall scores are 8.62 for the original Titan Plus, 8.78 for the Luxe and 8.88 for the Elite. The brand says to rotate every 6 to 8 months and never flip. Use a solid foundation with slats no more than 5 in apart. The Elite weighs 80 to 150 lbs. There are no ten-year owner reports or lab sag measurements (checked September 2026). On-site reviews include no sag after two years and edge caving in the first month.

Customer reviews and complaints

On the brand's site, the Plus Core and Luxe share a 4.5 out of 5 rating across 3,251 reviews. The Plus Elite shows 4.2 out of 5 across 435 reviews. Owners praise fast FedEx delivery, a firm-but-not-brutal feel, minimal sag, and strong support for 270 to 310 lb sleepers.

Complaints include edges caving near the side and a Core that's too firm for some. One cooling cover ran warm, and one paired bed frame felt loose. Mattress Clarity scored the Luxe 6.5 of 10 medium-firm and 3.9 of 5 overall, with edge support at 3.2, pressure relief at 3.3 and cooling at 3.5. NapLab flagged slow response (6.3 of 10) and a strong odor that took about five days to fade. Trustpilot and BBB data wasn't available when we checked in September 2026.

Delivery, setup and removal

Shipping is free by FedEx Ground to the contiguous 48 states. Product pages say 3 to 7 business days. The shipping policy says orders ship within 5 to 7 business days, and production can take 7 to 10. Setup is do-it-yourself. The brand says it deliberately skips white-glove delivery.

The brand doesn't publish a removal service. If you return a mattress during the trial, the company helps dispose of it. Hawaii and Alaska start at $125 per mattress, $45 for accessories and $125 for toppers. Canada starts at $250 on the shipping page, though one FAQ quotes $550, so confirm at checkout. Those charges are non-refundable. It doesn't ship to APO, FPO or PO Box addresses. Tracking numbers activate within 24 to 48 hours.

Sleep trial and returns

You get a 120-night trial that starts at delivery. You must use the bed at least 30 days first. There's a $99 return fee on all mattress returns, and refunds usually take 3 to 4 business days after pickup. The trial can be used once per customer. Clearance items can't be returned.

The brand may ask for photos of your foundation. It can refuse a return if you used a flexing foundation. Accessories can be returned or exchanged within 30 days with a prepaid label. Adjustable bases are final sale.

Warranty

Mattresses bought after 02/01/2025 have a limited lifetime warranty. Years 1 to 10 are non-prorated. In years 11 to 15 you pay 50 percent of the current retail price for a replacement. Years 16 to 20 are 60 percent, and from year 21 it's 75 percent. It covers indentations over 1.5 in, foam or spring splits, and cover assembly defects.

Coverage is for the original buyer only, and it's non-transferable. Removing the cover voids it, and so does an improper foundation. Slats must be no more than 5 in apart. Older purchases fall under earlier terms. Some FAQ copy still says 10 years, so confirm at purchase. Email warranty@brooklynbedding.com to open a claim.

Titan vs. other brands

Versus Big Fig: both are plus-size hybrids made in the same Phoenix factory. NapLab lists Big Fig queens at $1,399 to $2,249. Titan generally undercuts it on the firm entry model. Versus Helix Plus, Mattress Clarity says the Helix Plus is better for couples, with stronger pressure relief and edge support. Titan won on cooling.

Versus WinkBed Plus, Mattress Clarity found it firmer (7.5 of 10) and better on edges, but pricier. NapLab puts it at about $1,999. Saatva HD is a firm luxury innerspring with a 365-night trial, but costs far more. Sleep Foundation also lists the Leesa Plus Hybrid and Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe as alternatives.

Against Casper, Nectar, Purple and DreamCloud, Titan wins on weight capacity and firmness choice. Those brands win on in-store availability, softer contouring and review volume. Sleep Foundation named the Plus Core a top extra-firm pick for heavy people. Forbes picked the Plus Luxe in its 2026 roundup. NapLab named the Elite best cooling for heavy people in 2026.
