The best mattress stores in and near Amarillo, Texas

Updated October 17, 2026 · 16 stores, each checked against its own website

The best mattress stores in and near Amarillo are Denver Mattress West, JCPenney West and BoxDrop. We rank stores by how many mattress brands you can try in person, then by how many of their delivery, old-bed removal and return policies they post, counting one location per chain. We checked 16 stores within 12 miles of central Amarillo, and no store pays to be listed.

  1. Denver Mattress West: 6 brands to try, including Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster and Purple. West Amarillo, 5.5 mi, open Sunday; old-bed removal offered, publishes a return policy.
  2. JCPenney West: 5 brands to try, including Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster and Sealy. West Amarillo, 5.6 mi, open Sunday; $25 old-bed removal, publishes a return policy.
  3. BoxDrop: 5 brands to try, including Serta, Nectar and Simmons Beautyrest. Southwest Amarillo, 5 mi; publishes a return policy.

A few minutes on a showroom bed will not tell you how it feels after a month at home. Pick a bed you trust from a store whose exchange and return policy you can live with: 8 of the 16 stores here post a policy that lets you return a bed, so read the fees and time limits before you buy.
