Worleybeds Mattress Review

Worleybeds is a family-run mattress factory outlet in New Bedford, Massachusetts. It's been building beds by hand since 1954 and sells them direct from one showroom. You get old-school, flippable construction and factory-direct pricing. It also carries Pure Talalay Bliss latex and Tempur-Pedic. Buying means visiting in person, because nothing ships nationwide and few policies are published online. If you live nearby and want a bed you can try and have serviced locally, it's worth a visit.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

Side sleepers who want pressure relief can look at the Luxury Comfort Heavenly or Platinum with all-natural latex padding. A Pure Talalay Bliss bed is another option. Back and stomach sleepers who need firm alignment can try the Luxury Health Chiro. It has a 713 AC innerspring and super lumbar support. The Posture in extra firm is another choice.

For kids, guest rooms, dorms and rentals, the Econo Comfort Value Series is $699, and the soy-foam Economy Series is $1,099. Couples who want movement isolation can try the Heavenly Series or an all-latex Natural Sleep model. If you like to flip a bed for longevity, choose the two-sided Spinal, Posture, Chiro or Platinum. Custom Builds cover odd sizes, boats and RVs.

Mattress prices and value

Published online prices as of September 2026 are Easy Rest Soft at $549 Twin, $599 Twin XL, $699 Full, $899 Queen and $1,099 King. The Economy Series is $1,099 and the Value Series is $699. The Spinal Series was $899 before its page was removed.

The brand doesn't publish Luxury Health, Luxury Comfort or Pure Talalay Bliss prices (checked September 2026). Those are quote-only, in store. The brand says factory-direct building means no middleman markup. It also says box springs are only a fraction of the set price, since the mattress is 75 to 85% of it. A printable coupon is worth up to $100 off. GoodBed says financing is available and lists Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and checks. You'll need a call or visit for most real quotes.

What are the mattresses made of?

The site lists VertiCoil and 357 VertiCoil Edge innersprings, a 713 AC Lura-Flex innerspring, and 609 Body Print and Body Print Marshall units. Box springs include Real Web-Lok coil box springs with super lumbar support, many still coiled by hand, and the Zeroflex system. Other parts are all-natural latex foam rubber and soy-based polyurethane foam. The Economy Series uses 100% open-cell soy-based polyurethane. Natural Sleep uses 100% organic cotton flannel, and Easy Rest Soft has a standard foam encasement for edge support.

Pure Talalay Bliss latex is Oeko-Tex Class I certified and made in Shelton, CT. The brand describes it as naturally mold, mildew and dust-mite resistant, antibacterial and antifungal. It also says it's up to seven times more breathable than other latex or foam. Poly or visco-elastic foams appear only in Custom Builds.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

Worleybeds argues that two-sided construction gives durability. Padding both faces and flipping spreads wear, and the factory still hand-coils many box springs. It expects its beds to outlast mass-produced no-flip models. The FAQ says a mattress is built to perform for the length of its warranty. Rotating evens out body impressions, which are normal in plusher beds. A proper frame with center support prevents sagging. Sitting or standing on the edge can bend border wiring, and that isn't covered.

You're told to reassess every few years, and that 7 to 10 years is a typical replacement age. The brand doesn't publish durability testing or foam-density specs, and we found no independent lab data (checked September 2026).

Customer reviews and complaints

Birdeye shows 4.6 out of 5 from 113 reviews. That's 90 five-star, 8 four-star, 6 three-star, 7 two-star and 2 one-star, with 112 from Google and 1 from Superpages. Yelp lists 5.0 from 5 reviews. The store isn't BBB-accredited, but it has an A+ rating and 0 complaints and 0 customer reviews in its three-year window.

Praise centers on knowledgeable staff (Patrick Worley is named), in-house quality, fair prices, and free delivery and setup with old-bed removal. An August 2026 Google reviewer wrote that nothing replaces the service of a longstanding local business. Complaints are few. The lowest Google review, 1 star from February 2023, describes a bad delivery experience after paying cash. We found no third-party lab review or long-term owner test.

Where can you try and buy?

There's one location, Worleybeds Factory Outlet, at 197 Popes Island (Route 6), New Bedford, MA 02740. Call (508) 997-6791. Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm. It's closed Sundays.

The showroom carries the Worleybeds brand, Pure Talalay Bliss latex, adjustable bases (Prodigy 2.0, S-Cape 2.0, Falcon 2.0 and Rize models), futons and bedroom furniture. It's also an adjustable-bed service center for Leggett & Platt. You can order three models through the website for local delivery. Those are Easy Rest Soft, the Economy Series and the Value Series. Everything else is quote-only in store. We found no other showrooms or dealers.

Delivery, setup and removal

The brand doesn't publish a delivery page (checked September 2026). The FAQ mentions professional delivery staff moving your new mattress into the bedroom. It warns you never to bend a mattress or box spring through tight spaces. King sets ship with split box springs, and split queen box springs are also offered.

A testimonial on the brand's site says Worley's delivered free, set up the bed and took away the old mattress and box spring. With a single Massachusetts store, delivery is local or regional. The brand doesn't publish fees, delivery radius, scheduling windows or whether old-mattress removal always comes free.

Sleep trial and returns

The official site doesn't publish a sleep trial, return or exchange policy (checked September 2026). GoodBed's profile lists only a Comfort Guarantee under which mattresses can be exchanged. The FAQ says you pay transportation costs on warranty exchanges. Soiled, stained or damaged bedding won't be exchanged.

Trial length, return window, restocking or pick-up fees, refund terms and exchange limits aren't published. Ask the store in person before you buy.

Warranty

The brand doesn't publish warranty details (checked September 2026). The FAQ says all warranties come from the manufacturer, and it points you to the warranty card supplied with the bedding. No warranty length or tiers appear on the site.

Known limits are that stains and bent border wiring aren't covered. Soiled, stained or damaged bedding won't be exchanged. You pay transportation on all warranty exchanges, and defect claims go through the store to the maker. The Pure Talalay Bliss page says only that its products come with a warranty. Warranty years for Worleybeds-brand mattresses aren't published.

Worleybeds vs. other brands

Worleybeds is a four-employee, family-owned maker, with a BBB file showing it was founded in 1954 and led by president John L. Worley Jr. It competes on factory-direct pricing, local service and old-school construction. It still builds two-sided flippable mattresses and hand-coils many box springs. The history page says it refuses trends it sees as fashion or planned obsolescence.

Against bed-in-a-box brands, it loses on sleep trials, free returns, nationwide shipping and published specs. It wins on try-before-you-buy, custom sizes and repairability. It also retails Pure Talalay Bliss latex, plus Tempur-Pedic and Gold Bond per its own listing. BBB lists Simmons along with Lane's, Schweiger and Benchcraft furniture.
