US Truck Mattress Review
US Truck Mattress is the semi-truck sleeper-mattress division of Grand Rapids Bedding Co., a family-owned Michigan factory running since 1889. It sells exactly three truck-only beds: RESTFUL, SERENITY and STELLAR. They come in eight cab sizes plus customs, with CertiPUR-US foam, free continental US shipping, a 120-night trial and a 10-year warranty. The catch is that returns only open on day 90, so you'll need to measure your cab and order the right size.

| SERENITY1.5-inch latex on one face, 2 inches of 4 lb GFLEX gel memory foam on the other, a 5-inch high-density foam core and a double-stretch heat-wicking cover. Rated up to 250 lbs. The best-seller. | Double-sided, latex and gel foam | 8.5 inches | $316 to $428 |

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?
Follow the factory weight guidance. RESTFUL is for sleepers up to 180 lbs who want a firm-or-soft flippable latex-and-foam bed. SERENITY is for up to 250 lbs, with gel memory foam on one side and latex on the other. STELLAR is for up to 350 lbs, heavier drivers, or anyone who wants coil support with a foam-encased edge.
The brand's Sleep Center advises that heavier people generally do better on coil support. Lighter sleepers may find coils stiff and should choose foam. Back and stomach sleepers are steered to firmer support, and side sleepers to the contouring gel foam faces. If you share a bunk, size to the heavier sleeper.
Mattress prices and value
It's factory-direct with no middleman, and shipping is free in the continental US. RESTFUL is from $237, SERENITY from $316 and STELLAR from $372. The full ladders from the site's product data are RESTFUL $237 (30x75) to $282 (42x80), SERENITY $316 to $428 and STELLAR $372 to $564. A 42x80 STELLAR costs about 2.4 times a 30x75 RESTFUL. Custom sizes are quoted by phone at 1-800-468-6096.
The value is strong against truck-specific rivals such as SleepDog BigDawg (about $599 queen) and Mattress Insider Park Meadow (about $1,049 queen). The brand doesn't publish financing, bundle, discount or loyalty programs (checked September 2026).
What are the mattresses made of?
The foams are CertiPUR-US certified with an open-cell structure. The mattresses are American-made in Grand Rapids, Michigan from US-sourced materials, and D.O.T. compliant. RESTFUL has two 1.5-inch latex layers over a 5-inch high-density resilient foam core.
SERENITY has one 1.5-inch latex face and 2 inches of 4 lb GFLEX gel memory foam on the other face, over a 5-inch high-density core. A soft, durable double-stretch material wicks away heat and covers the whole mattress. STELLAR has 2 inches of premium gel memory foam and a 3-inch 4 lb GFLEX comfort layer. It also has 890 individually wrapped coils, a foam-encased perimeter and the same heat-wicking cover.
The brand doesn't publish core foam densities, fiber content, fire-barrier details or certifications beyond CertiPUR-US (checked September 2026).
How well do the mattresses hold up?
The brand doesn't publish independent durability testing, owner-reported lifespan or long-term wear data (checked September 2026). So you can't verify how well these hold up. The brand-side signals are a 10-year warranty on material and workmanship, and two-sided construction on RESTFUL and SERENITY that you can flip to spread wear. It also positions its high-density foam cores and latex faces as durable, and STELLAR has 890 individually wrapped coils.
An archived version of the brand FAQ says mattresses do wear out from use, and that this isn't covered by the warranty. The current site sets no lifespan estimate.
Customer reviews and complaints
Each model page has a customer-review section with reviewer name, date, star rating, description, photo and a Posted on Etsy source tag. But the widget loads with JavaScript, so we couldn't read review counts, average star ratings or review text (checked September 2026). No aggregate rating appears in the page source.
One named testimonial is published on the homepage, from Ed Jones, who has driven trucks over 20 years. Parent company Grand Rapids Bedding has a Yelp listing and a February 2025 Reddit r/grandrapids thread where commenters praised its mattress quality. We found no BBB complaints, Amazon reviews, YouTube reviews or independent mattress-media reviews. So complaint themes only show up in the published policies: a 90-day return lockout, no exchanges and no returns on mis-sized orders.
Where can you try and buy?
You can buy direct only. You can order online at ustruckmattress.com, by phone at 1-800-468-6096 (product pages list Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm ET), or by email at contact@ustruckmattress.com. To see the mattresses in person, visit the factory at 630 Myrtle Drive NW, Grand Rapids, Michigan. You can visit Monday to Thursday, 10am to 4pm.
We found no third-party retail distribution, showroom network or authorized dealers. There are no Amazon, Walmart or Etsy listings for the brand (checked September 2026). The company also supplies fleets, truck repair facilities and dealerships that fit its mattresses as upgrades in new rigs.
Delivery, setup and removal
Shipping is free anywhere in the continental USA. There's no international shipping. Mattresses ship compressed, rolled and boxed by FedEx or UPS ground. An archived brand FAQ says the mattress is made and shipped in 2 to 3 business days, with 2 to 6 business days in transit. That's a typical 5 to 9 business day arrival. It says the mattress practically sets itself up, so you just unwrap it.
The brand doesn't publish in-home setup, white-glove delivery or an old-mattress removal program (checked September 2026). You should inspect it on arrival. Write product damaged on the delivery paperwork, not just refused, and report it right away by phone or email.
Sleep trial and returns
The 120-night sleep trial has hard gates. RMA requests are accepted only from day 90 to day 120. The brand asks you to take the full 90 days to adjust, so nothing can be returned in the first three months. There are no exchanges for another mattress.
Returns are refused for stained, ripped or damaged mattresses, for anything past day 120, and for wrongly ordered sizes, models or thicknesses. You're responsible for ordering the right size. Refusing delivery after shipment costs round-trip shipping plus a 15% restocking fee. On custom sizes it's a 100% restocking fee, which makes custom-size refusals effectively non-refundable.
Orders can only be changed or cancelled within 24 hours. The refund is the purchase price. The company may refuse to sell to you if you've returned a mattress before.
Warranty
Every mattress carries a 10-year warranty covering material defects and workmanship errors, per the product pages and the Sleep Center FAQ. It sits alongside the 120-night satisfaction guarantee. An archived brand FAQ adds that each quality level once had its own warranty period. It also says normal wear isn't covered.
The current site doesn't publish a full warranty document, proration schedule or sag-depth threshold (checked September 2026). It also leaves out transfer terms, claim steps and who pays warranty shipping. You'll want to ask before you buy.
US Truck Mattress vs. other brands
It's a single-category specialist, not a full-line brand. It competes with truck-mattress makers such as SleepDog, Big Trucker (North American Mattress Corp.), Mattress Insider and Park Meadow, Odyssey Truck Mattress and TruckMattress.com. It also competes with generic Amazon and Walmart sleeper mattresses and cut-down RV or twin XL mattresses.
You get a factory operating since 1889 (Grand Rapids Bedding), factory-direct pricing and custom cab dimensions. You also get US manufacturing, CertiPUR-US foams, D.O.T. compliance, free shipping, a 120-night trial and a 10-year warranty. The trade-offs are only three models with one weight tier each, no showrooms, no exchanges and a 90-day lockout before any return. There's also no old-mattress removal, no financing, and no coverage in independent roundups such as the Sleep Doctor best truck mattress guide.
How we put this review together
We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.
