Turmerry Mattress Review

Turmerry is a Charlotte, North Carolina direct-to-consumer brand, run by Commerzilla, LLC. It sells eight organic and natural latex mattress lines from about $799 to $2,699. You get GOLS-certified Dunlop latex, New Zealand wool, free US shipping, a 120-day trial and 10- to 20-year limited warranties. It suits budget-minded organic-latex shoppers. The catches are that you assemble the layers yourself. There's no white-glove service or old-mattress removal. Showroom access is limited to Charlotte or a video call, and that's it.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

Back sleepers can look at the 7 Zone in medium or firm, or the DIY Hybrid for a coil feel under latex. Stomach sleepers should choose firm or extra-firm in the 7 Zone, Egg Crate or Bigg+. Combination sleepers get a responsive feel from the 7 Zone or DIY Hybrid.

Side sleepers need care. A medium 7 Zone may work if you're average weight. But the softest build is only about 5/10, and Mattress Nerd flagged pressure building at the hips and shoulders. If you want plush, you'll want to look elsewhere or budget for a latex topper.

Couples can pick a Split Queen, King or Cal King 7 Zone for different firmness per side. The Flippable gives two feels in one bed. Latex is quiet, with decent but not class-leading motion isolation (3.5/5 per Mattress Nerd).

Hot sleepers, you've got perforated latex, wool and breathable cotton across the line. The Hybrid and DIY models add coil airflow. Heavyweight sleepers over 230 lb should look at Bigg+, or an extra-firm 7 Zone, Egg Crate or DIY Hybrid. Mattress Nerd cautions that the Hybrid's coils may feel soft for you.

RV owners have the RV Mattress in 6 in or 9 in. Kids and teens have the Organic Kids Mattress, Twin to Full. For guest rooms and rentals, try the entry 7 Zone or Latex Hybrid.

Mattress prices and value

The mattress line runs from about $799 (Twin DIY Hybrid) to $2,699 (Bigg+ top size). Queen-size organic latex builds generally land around $1,000 to $1,600. Per-line ranges checked in September 2026: 7 Zone $899 to $2,499, Latex Hybrid $799 to $1,899, Egg Crate $999 to $2,399, Flippable $899 to $1,999, RV $899 to $2,199, DIY Hybrid $799 to $2,399, Bigg+ $1,299 to $2,699 and Kids $799 to $1,399.

Shipping is free to the contiguous US. The brand runs frequent coupon codes and discounts for military, veterans, seniors, first responders, healthcare workers, teachers, students and recent movers. Financing is through Affirm, Afterpay and Klarna. Affirm is advertised as low as 0% APR over 3, 12 or 18 months.

It's among the cheapest certified-organic latex sold direct. WIRED called the latex topper a favorite organic topper on a budget. Good Housekeeping said the topper outperformed pricier models. Forbes placed the Organic Latex Mattress in best-organic-mattress roundups. What you trade is showroom service, white-glove setup, and the polish and trial length of premium rivals.

What are the mattresses made of?

The all-foam line uses GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex. The brand says it comes from Sri Lankan rubber trees, meets the 95% organic standard, and that Turmerry operates a GOLS-certified facility. The 7 Zone, Flippable, RV, Bigg+, Kids and Egg Crate stack 3 in Dunlop latex layers. The Egg Crate adds a 2.4 in convoluted latex top.

The Latex Hybrid uses FSC-certified Talalay latex (2 in, ILD 25-29) over 8 in Leggett & Platt pocketed coils (up to 958) with Quantum Edge rail reinforcement. The DIY Hybrid pairs perforated 7-zone organic Dunlop latex with up to 1,224 Texas Pocket Springs QuadCoil coils in a glue-free butterfly-locking core.

Every line has natural New Zealand wool as a chemical-free fire barrier. The all-foam models have zippered organic cotton covers, and the Hybrid has a non-zippered one. The Latex Hybrid is labeled Made in USA. Several covers are USA-made too. All latex layers are perforated for airflow.

The brand lists GOLS, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, eco-INSTITUT, FSC for the hybrid latex, and LGA. The OEKO-TEX and eco-INSTITUT certificates apply to its latex foam suppliers, not Turmerry itself. It also cites Applied Technical Services lab testing (formaldehyde below 16 ppm). It claims no fiberglass, no PU foam and no synthetic fire retardants. Treat these as manufacturer claims, since we haven't tested them.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

The brand says latex mattresses last 15 to 20 years or more. The Latex Hybrid page cites 10 to 15 years of latex life and an expected lifespan of at least ten years. You can rotate and reorder layers to even out wear. Warranties back this up. The 20-year limited warranties cover the 7 Zone, Egg Crate, Flippable, DIY Hybrid, Bigg+ and Kids lines. You get full coverage in years 1 to 10, then 50% to 95% prorated. The 10-year warranties cover the Latex Hybrid and RV, with full coverage in years 1 to 5, then 55% to 75% prorated.

Covered defects include body impressions over 1.5 in, cracking or splitting of latex layers, and seam, stitching and cover defects. They also include dimensional variance over 2 in after a 30-day break-in, and cosmetic defects that impair performance.

No independent durability testing is published (checked September 2026). Mattress Nerd scored durability 3/5 in its April 2026 review. It raised the risk that self-assembled layers sit unevenly and wear faster. To keep coverage, you need a slatted or platform base with slats no more than 3 in apart. Queen, King and Cal King need center support too. You also need a waterproof protector from day one.

Customer reviews and complaints

On the brand's own site (September 2026), the 7 Zone Natural Latex scores 4.86/5 from 137 reviews. Flippable has 4.86/5 from 113, Egg Crate 4.86/5 from 118, Latex Hybrid 4.85/5 from 124 and RV 4.86/5 from 118. DIY Hybrid has 5.0/5 from only 3 reviews.

Mattress Nerd (April 15, 2026) gave the brand 3.5/5 overall, with an average customer rating of 4.7/5. It praised the organic build, reorderable layers, temperature-neutral sleep, silent construction and 4/5 edge support. It criticized pressure relief (3/5), motion isolation (3.5/5), durability (3/5) and the assembly work. The softest feel is about 5/10, which can still be too firm for side sleepers. That review cites a 60-night trial with a $59 deduction for early returns. That doesn't match Turmerry's current 120-day trial. Sleep Foundation published a review on October 27, 2025. WIRED, Forbes, Good Housekeeping, Real Simple, Business Insider, CNN and NYMag's Strategist have recommended Turmerry toppers or pillows.

Trustpilot shows about 3.1/5 (Average) as of September 2026, with reviews from December 2025 to September 2026. Common complaints are scripted overseas call-center support, slow or denied warranty claims and shipping delays. Others are surprise at the one-return-per-product-type limit, and isolated reports of sagging, weak edge support and a loose topper cover. Positive reviews praise fast refunds, generous service and the 120-night trial. We didn't find a BBB profile for Turmerry or Commerzilla LLC, and SiteJabber shows no reviews. Complaints cluster around service, stock and return rules, not the latex. Expert criticism centers on side-sleeper pressure relief and assembly.

Where can you try and buy?

You buy direct at turmerry.com. We didn't find a dealer or third-party retail network in September 2026. Amazon has a Turmerry storefront, but only toppers and pillows, not full mattresses.

You can try one in person at 3300 Woodpark Blvd., Suite L, Charlotte, NC 28206. It's open 9 AM to 5 PM EST Monday to Friday, by appointment. The brand also books a Virtual Mattress Test Drive video call. Support is at 984-299-6850, plus a contact form and email. Press contact is press@turmerry.com. Commerzilla, LLC also runs wholesale, affiliate and HSA/FSA programs.

Delivery, setup and removal

Shipping is free across the contiguous US. Most orders arrive in 2 to 5 business days. That means 1 to 3 days on the East Coast and 5 to 7 days on the West Coast, from the Charlotte, NC distribution center. Alaska, Hawaii and US territories pay FedEx or USPS rates. Most orders placed by 3 PM ship the same day. The Latex Hybrid ships in 24 to 48 hours. You can check international availability by adding items to your cart.

There's no free white-glove delivery, and the FAQ says so. All-foam latex mattresses arrive in four or five compact boxes. You stack the layers inside the zippered cover yourself, using Turmerry's Latex Mattress Assembly guide. Hybrid and DIY models ship boxed too.

The brand doesn't publish an old-mattress removal service (checked September 2026). Its return policy asks that mattresses be donated or destroyed locally. For your base, use a solid platform or slats no more than 3 in apart. Queen, King and Cal King need a center rail with center support legs. Box springs, floor placement and bad slat spacing can void the warranty.

Sleep trial and returns

You get a 120-day trial on mattresses and toppers, with a mandatory 30-day trial before you can start a return. You start the request with Turmerry. The mattress is donated locally or destroyed. You'll need photos and a donation receipt with your name and item details. Then you get 100% back to your original payment method, or 110% as store credit. Returning before 30 days gives you store credit only.

On the all-foam Organic Latex Mattress, you can swap layers free to change support and comfort. Exchanges ship free within the contiguous US. You can still return the mattress if the swap doesn't work.

Return shipping fees may apply in some cases, and you're told before you finish. Refunds usually take 10 business days after receipt. You can't do more than one return or exchange per product type per 12 months (pillows excepted, up to two). Adjustable bases can't be returned or exchanged and have no trial. USA-made wool comforters must be new, unused and unlaundered. Mattress Nerd describes a 60-night trial with a $59 deduction. That doesn't line up with the current 120-day terms, so confirm at checkout.

Warranty

Warranties are limited, non-transferable and valid only for the original purchaser from turmerry.com. The 20-year warranty covers the 7 Zone, Egg Crate, Flippable, DIY Hybrid (coils covered the full term), Bigg+ and Kids. Years 1 to 10 are fully covered. After that you pay 50% of the original price in year 11, rising to 95% in year 20, plus shipping. The 10-year warranty covers the Latex Hybrid (coils covered 10 years) and RV. Years 1 to 5 are fully covered, then you pay 55% in year 6, rising to 75% in year 10.

Covered are body impressions over 1.5 in measured with no weight on the bed, cracking or splitting of latex layers, and cover, stitching and construction defects. Also covered is dimensional variance over 2 in after a 30-day break-in, which you must report during the trial period. Cosmetic defects that impair comfort, stability or support count too.

Not covered are comfort preferences, normal softening under 1.5 in, stains, spills, mold, odors, burns, cuts and pests. Commercial or Airbnb use, allergies or health conditions, and incorrect layer handling are out too. So is use on a box spring, on the floor, or without a waterproof protector from day one.

To keep coverage, set the mattress up within 10 days of delivery. Use it residentially only, on a sound platform or slatted base (slats 3 in or less apart) with center support on Queen, King and Cal King. Leave the law tags on and rotate regularly. File claims through the Contact Turmerry page with proof of purchase and photos. You may be asked for a video or third-party inspection. Repaired or replaced mattresses keep the original term.

Turmerry vs. other brands

Sleep On Latex also sells GOLS Dunlop latex direct at value prices. It keeps a simpler lineup with a 100-night trial and 10-year warranty. Turmerry offers far more configuration, a 120-day trial and 20-year warranties on most lines. The trade-off is self-assembly and thinner service.

Avocado is the premium certified-organic brand, with retail presence and premium delivery. Turmerry undercuts it on price and adds swappable layers. But it has no comparable showroom footprint, a much smaller review base and less recognition.

Saatva includes free white-glove delivery, old-mattress removal and a 365-night trial. Turmerry doesn't publish any of those. It counters with all-latex construction, no polyurethane foam and lower prices for organic materials. SleepEZ covers more split and blended configurations. Turmerry's edge is bundled pricing, free shipping and a broad range of toppers, pillows, bases, RV and kids beds.

Budget boxed hybrids like Leesa, DreamCloud and Nectar win on trials, simple returns and retail availability. Turmerry wins on natural materials, certifications and specialty sizes.

How we put this review together

We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.

Quick answers before you buy

Where are Turmerry mattresses made?

The Latex Hybrid is labeled Made in USA. Covers on several all-foam models are described as USA-made. The organic Dunlop latex comes from Sri Lankan rubber trees, and the wool comes from New Zealand. These are brand statements.

Are the mattresses actually organic?

The brand describes the latex as GOLS-certified organic Dunlop with at least 95% organic content. It says it operates a GOLS-certified facility. But its OEKO-TEX and eco-INSTITUT certifications cover its foam suppliers, not Turmerry itself. FSC applies to the hybrid latex.

What are the trial and warranty terms?

You get a 120-day trial with a 30-day minimum before returning. Limited warranties are 10 years on the Latex Hybrid and RV, and 20 years on the other six lines. Coverage is prorated after the first 5 or 10 years.

Is shipping free and how does the mattress arrive?

Yes, it's free to the contiguous US in 2 to 5 business days from Charlotte, NC. It arrives in four or five boxes, and you assemble the latex layers yourself. There's no white-glove delivery and no old-mattress removal.

What if the firmness is wrong?

Turmerry will swap a latex layer free on the all-foam Organic Latex Mattress. You can reorder layers yourself. Or you can return it within 120 days through the donation process for a 100% refund or 110% store credit. Returns before 30 days are store credit only.

Can I try one before buying?

Only in person at the Charlotte, NC location by appointment, or through a bookable Virtual Mattress Test Drive video call. There's no other showroom or dealer network. Amazon carries toppers and pillows, not full mattresses.
