Financing is available through Shop Pay for eligible customers. The site accepts Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. It's a deliberately minimal one-foam design made in Toronto with CertiPUR-US foam. Some of the savings come from having no sleep trial, no showrooms and no white-glove service. Comfort returns are effectively limited to unopened-box returns.

What are the mattresses made of?

It's a single-block all-foam build. There are no coils, no latex and no stacked memory foam layers. The core is one 8 or 10 inch block of 1.8 lb Canadian-made gel-infused polyfoam. The brand FAQ calls it responsive, not slow-response memory foam. The cover is an antimicrobial cooling fabric, sourced from China per the FAQ.

The brand doesn't publish the fire barrier, quilt, adhesive, or cover composition (checked September 2026). It states the foam is CertiPUR-US certified, made without ozone depleters, formaldehyde, mercury, lead or other harmful chemicals. It doesn't publish OEKO-TEX, GOTS, GOLS or Greenguard. The bed is made in Toronto, ON, with Canadian foam.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

The brand states a 10-year limited warranty against foam cracking or splitting and manufacturing defects under normal home use. Its FAQ says the gel-infused polyfoam is designed to hold shape for years but admits normal softening over time. It suggests rotating every 6 to 12 months. It also says the bed is flippable and usable on both sides, and recommends a mattress protector.

The brand doesn't publish a sag-depth threshold, indentation terms or independent durability tests. Founder Jordan Bedwell cites 15 years in the mattress industry. We couldn't verify factory history or longevity data.

Customer reviews and complaints

The product page shows 65 on-site reviews, 60 five-star and 5 four-star, with no 3-, 2- or 1-star. Reviewers praise a firm but comfortable feel and good value against $800 to $1200 alternatives. They also like easy ordering, on-time delivery, clean expansion on platform beds, little off-gassing smell and comfort for larger sleepers, including one 215 lb reviewer.

Complaints are mild. One reviewer found the edge soft when sitting on it, though sleeping stayed comfortable. Another needed a 2 to 3 night adjustment period. The brand doesn't publish third-party ratings from Google, BBB, Amazon, Sleep Foundation or RTINGS (checked September 2026). The refund policy mentions Amazon orders, but we couldn't verify an authorized Amazon listing.

Where can you try and buy?

You can buy online only at cubeysleep.com. The brand FAQ says it sells exclusively online, with no showroom. Email support@cubeysleep.com for warranty claims and info@cubeysleep.com for shipping and returns. The site has a contact form, plus Facebook and Instagram links.

The brand doesn't publish phone ordering, live chat or an in-home trial (checked September 2026). The refund policy says Amazon purchases follow Amazon's return policy, but we couldn't verify an authorized Amazon listing.

Delivery, setup and removal

Standard shipping is free on all mattress orders within Canada and the continental US. Remote or rural locations and US and Canadian territories may cost extra. It doesn't ship to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories or outside North America. Processing takes 1 to 2 business days. Arrival is typically 2 to 7 business days after leaving the warehouse, and the product page says usually 3 to 5. You'll get tracking by email. Delivery is doorstep or curbside with no scheduled window, and boxes can be heavy.

To set up, place the box in your bedroom, remove the compressed mattress and cut the plastic carefully. It expands for up to 48 hours, but you can sleep on it right away. Platforms, slatted frames, solid foundations, box springs and adjustable bases are all stated as compatible. White-glove setup and old-mattress removal aren't offered. The brand suggests municipalities or recyclers for old mattresses.

Sleep trial and returns

There's no sleep trial. The FAQ says Cubey doesn't offer one, arguing trials raise retail prices that most buyers never use. A 30-day return window runs from delivery, but only in original packaging and essentially unopened. The FAQ says you can schedule a free return as long as it's still in the box. The refund policy adds that the mattress must be clean and undamaged. You'll need proof of purchase, and Cubey may refuse returns that don't qualify.

The FAQ says in-box returns get free pickup, but the refund policy says return shipping may apply, except for manufacturing defects or shipping damage. Report damaged or wrong orders within 7 days with photos. Refunds go to the original payment method about 3 to 10 business days after inspection. Original shipping charges aren't refundable, except for brand errors or defects. You can cancel for a full refund only before shipment.

Warranty

The 10-year limited warranty runs from the purchase date. It covers foam cracking or splitting and defects in materials or workmanship under normal home use in Canada or the continental US. It's for the original purchaser, buying direct or from an authorized retailer with proof of purchase, and isn't transferable. Cubey decides whether to repair or replace with the same or a comparable model. A replacement doesn't restart the warranty term.

Exclusions include normal softening, comfort changes, wear and tear, misuse, burns, cuts, stains, liquid damage, bad foundations, mold, modified mattresses and second-hand or unauthorized-seller purchases. Floor-model, comfort-return, used, refurbished and as-is units aren't covered either. To claim, email support@cubeysleep.com with proof of purchase, defect photos and a description. You won't find a sag-depth threshold or transport-fee schedule from the brand, so ask before you buy.

Cubey Sleep vs. other brands

Against Zinus, Cubey wins on Canadian manufacturing and a stated CertiPUR-US single-block design. Zinus wins on model range, published specs and many third-party reviews. Against Douglas and Juno, Cubey wins on simple entry pricing. Douglas and Juno win on published sleep-trial comfort returns, which Cubey doesn't offer.

Against Lucid, Cubey wins on Canadian production claims. Lucid wins on published specs for each size and deeper review history. Against traditional retail innerspring or luxury foam, Cubey wins on price and compressed-box convenience. Traditional retail wins on showrooms, white-glove delivery and comfort exchanges.
