It's a good pick if you're a safety-first parent. Adults should shop elsewhere. You won't get a long sleep trial, and it ships only to the contiguous 48 states.

For a newborn or infant in a standard crib, start with the Dual-stage Avocado full-size crib mattress and use the firm infant side. When your child becomes a toddler, flip it to the toddler side. If you own a mini or midi crib, match the mattress to the crib size exactly. Choose Mini or Midi Avocado or Pure Core.

The Avocado collab crib line is organic and non-toxic, co-made with Avocado. The full-size has dual-sided infant and toddler firmness. It's GREENGUARD Gold certified and meets MADE SAFE standards. The Eco Organic Kids has 704 individually wrapped coils, GOLS-certified organic latex and GOTS-certified organic cotton and wool. It has no chemical flame retardants, fiberglass or polyurethane foams. Its certifications are GOTS product CU863637, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, EWG Verified and MADE SAFE.

The Essential 7.5 has a 2 in memory-foam comfort layer over a foam core, with a quilted breathable cover. Its foam is CertiPUR-US certified. It's GREENGUARD Gold certified after screening for more than 10,000 chemicals and VOCs, and it's made in the USA. Pure Core is GREENGUARD Gold and hypoallergenic, with no chemical flame retardants. It has a hybrid quilted cover with a non-vinyl waterproof backing. Layer densities, coil gauges and cover fabric blends aren't published (checked September 2026).

We found no published long-term durability tests, sag limits or lifespan figures as of September 2026. There are a few indirect signals. Pure by Babyletto mattress cores carry a 10-year warranty, and covers carry 1 year. The Eco Organic Kids is tested to support at least 250 lbs.
