White Dove Mattress Review

White Dove Mattress is a fourth-generation, family-owned factory in Cleveland, Ohio. The family says it has made mattresses since 1922. It sells nine current mattresses across eight collections, with starting prices from about $950 to $2,900 and up. Online orders get a 120-night trial and 10, 15 or 25 year warranties. It suits Midwest shoppers who want hand-tufted, high-density foam innersprings. Reviews are thin, and some owners report dealer warranty friction. It isn't White Dove Beds, a separate New York online store.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

Side sleepers should look at plush or medium Atlas, Cambridge Hybrid, Evergreen, Evermore or Whitmore. You'll want medium or firm if you sleep on your back, especially Cambridge with its lumbar pillow and Atlas firm. Stomach sleepers usually need a firmer surface, though the brand names plush and medium options.

Combination sleepers get balanced picks in Evergreen medium, Cambridge Hybrid medium, Whitmore medium and Evermore medium. If you sleep hot, you can try Frost Fiber, BioCool or Evergreen's bamboo and wool. Those cooling stories are brand claims, and they haven't been tested. Atlas is the only line rated to 1,000 lbs.

Couples can use Cambridge Split Top for independent head elevation, Duality for a flippable value pick, or Whitmore for motion isolation. This is brand positioning. The brand doesn't publish per-model test data or weight ratings beyond Atlas (checked September 2026), so use a dealer or the 120-night trial.

Mattress prices and value

Starting prices as of September 2026: Hotel Classic $949.99, Duality $1,399.99, Cambridge and Evermore $1,599.99, Evergreen $1,799.99, Atlas $1,999.99, Cambridge Hybrid $2,199.99, and Cambridge Split Top and Whitmore $2,899.99. Furniture Today reported Whitmore at $3,599 for a queen firm or medium and $3,999 for a queen plush pillow top. The Compare Collections page shows Atlas from $1,899.99 and a 12.5 to 16 in profile, so confirm live pricing when you order.

Prices sit at or slightly above comparable national hybrids. You'll get hand tufting, higher coil counts, warranties up to 25 years and free standard shipping. A 15% off LABORDAY code was running in September 2026. Affirm and Katapult are named for financing, plus a lease-to-own option. Dealer financing varies.

The brand publishes few foam densities. Only Duality (1.5 lbs) and Hotel Classic (1.2 lbs) are stated, so value comparisons with published-spec brands are hard.

What are the mattresses made of?

Every model is coil and foam, and hand tufting is what you'll notice first. Atlas has 16 tufts, cooling fibers, Serene foam with air capsules, 1,000 micro-coils and 1,250 nested coils. Cambridge has 8 center tufts, a memory-foam layer and 1,000 tri-zone coils with a firmer middle. Cambridge Hybrid and Split Top use Frost Fiber, which the brand says cools by 1 to 3 degrees, with 1,000 tri-zone coils and no tufts.

Duality doesn't need much explaining. It uses 1.5 lbs foams and 1,000 tri-zone coils, with layers repeated below the coils for flipping. Evergreen uses bamboo fiber, New Zealand Joma wool, natural latex and wrapped coils from up to 85% recycled steel. It also recycles 100% of waste foam. Evermore uses BioCool and Elate foam. Hotel Classic has 800 continuous coils.

Whitmore has 24 hand tufts, BioCool, 2,000 micro-coils, Tranquility foam, Avena foam and a 360-degree handle system. The brand cites CertiPUR-US certified foam, a 15-point inspection and USA manufacturing. It doesn't publish GOTS, GOLS, OEKO-TEX or Greenguard certification, certificate IDs, or most foam densities (checked September 2026).

How well do the mattresses hold up?

Warranty tiers are the clearest durability signal you've got. Atlas gets 25 years with a 0.5 in impression tolerance. Cambridge, Cambridge Hybrid, Cambridge Split Top, Duality, Evergreen, Evermore and Whitmore get 15 years at 1 in. Hotel Classic gets 10 years at 1.5 in. The brand says its foams are 20 to 150% better than the 1.0 lbs industry average.

GoodBed reports an average owner-reported lifespan of 12.2 years across 233 White Dove ratings, with a Value score of 70 out of 100. Some owners report sagging well inside the warranty threshold. Reports include indentations within two weeks, center sag at six months and a wavy surface at about three years, plus denied or stalled claims.

The brand doesn't publish independent lab durability testing (checked September 2026). For you, durability rests on warranty terms and owner reports.

Customer reviews and complaints

Brand-site reviews are sparse. Atlas shows 4.0 out of 5 from 1 review, Evermore shows 5.0 from 2 reviews, and the other seven models have none. Only logged-in purchasers can review.

GoodBed lists 233 owner ratings for a 79 out of 100 Very Good score. Back Support is 64, Pressure Relief 62, Sleep Quality 72, Stays Cool 70 and Value 70. Praise includes a bed loved after 13 years and strong edge support. Complaints include indentation within two weeks, a long warranty ordeal with a $100 delivery fee or a 4-hour drive to Cleveland, and soft edges.

BBB gives an A+ rating, with no accreditation and 0 complaints in the current three-year window. One 1-star review alleges sagging and three unanswered warranty forms. A local listing shows 3.7 out of 5 from 25 reviews. Common themes are sagging, slow warranty service and retailer-versus-maker confusion.

Where can you try and buy?

You can buy at whitedoveusa.com or by phone at 1 (888) 874-3132, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM EST. Most lines can go in the cart. The brand's retailer locator listed about 86 dealers in September 2026, concentrated in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and West Virginia. Furniture Today names Wayside Furniture in Akron and Sheely's Furniture. Whitmore is sold in stores only.

You can't order hotel quantities online, but hotels can order through the For Hotels program. GoodBed's editor note says White Dove also owns SleepLogic and Aviya Mattress. The AVIYA trademark (registered 2016) belongs to White Dove Mattress, Ltd. of 3201 Harvard Ave, Cleveland.

This is not White Dove Beds (whitedovebeds.com), a separate New York-registered online seller of Chateau Regal, Tropical Lagoon, Oasis Luxe and Chateau Bliss mattresses.

Delivery, setup and removal

There are four options. Free Quick Ship Delivery covers the contiguous US by FedEx Ground, usually 7 to 14 business days. You unbox it and set it up without tools, and two people are recommended. A paid version adds old mattress haul-away through LoadUp. White Glove Delivery by partner RXO places and sets up the bed and takes packing away, in an estimated 3 to 4 weeks. A fourth option adds haul-away.

Crews may refuse stained mattresses, so keep yours clean. State recycling fees apply where required: $11 in California, $21 in Rhode Island and $12 in Connecticut. For White Glove, an adult 18 or older must be home in a 4-hour window given the day before. You can cancel by phone before delivery with no fee.

Bases and frames are sold separately, and you can't return them under the trial. Options include a Go-Anywhere foundation made from Amish wood and a Premium Steel Bed Frame with a limited lifetime warranty. All mattresses work with adjustable bases.

Sleep trial and returns

Online purchases include a 120-night trial that starts at delivery. It's automatic and limited to one return per household. You're asked to sleep on the bed at least two weeks first. Call 1 (888) 874-3132 to start a return. The brand says it picks up the mattress and refunds you with no restocking or return delivery fees.

Upgraded delivery charges aren't refundable, so choose carefully. Foundations, adjustable bases and frames are excluded and can't be exchanged. Dealer purchases follow the retailer's own policy, which varies, so ask your dealer. The brand doesn't publish exchange terms, such as a firmness swap fee (checked September 2026).

Warranty

The limited warranty is tiered by collection and tied to a code on the law label. Hotel Classic gets 10 years at 1.5 in. Cambridge, Duality and the Generations group get 15 years. Anniversary and Atlas get 25 years. Most current lines state a 1 in tolerance and Atlas states 0.5 in. A code ending in 1 means a 1 in impression warranty.

It covers loose, broken or protruding coils, sagging, fabric handles, impressions past the threshold and foundation splits. The bed frame carries a limited lifetime warranty. White Dove can repair or replace at its option.

Exclusions include impressions under the threshold, commercial use and comfort preference. Shipping outside the continental US isn't covered, and neither are stains or burns. You'll also need rigid center support and at least 5 legs or 5 hardwood slats. Only the original buyer is covered, so it won't pass to you secondhand. After the free period it's prorated, and you pay transport to and from the Cleveland factory.

White Dove Mattress vs. other brands

Against national direct brands like Saatva, Nectar, Helix and Brooklyn Bedding, White Dove wins on hand tufting, factory heritage since 1922, try-before-you-buy and longer warranties. It loses on standard national trial terms, published specs, review volume and showrooms.

Against Sealy, Serta and Simmons, it offers higher coil counts and factory-direct pricing. Those brands have wider distribution and more promotions. Against regional makers like Shifman, Symbol, Charles P. Rogers and Bedding Industries of America, it's cheaper at entry, at $949.99, and you won't pay more for tufting.

Against bed-in-a-box value brands, it costs more and you'll need patience. Delivery takes 7 to 14 days by FedEx or 3 to 4 weeks for white glove. Furniture Today says it's expanding past the Midwest with the Whitmore launch.
