SleepMax Mattress Review

SleepMax is an online-only US hybrid mattress seller built around cooling covers, pocketed Hive honeycomb coils and recovery positioning. It has two lines. OmniFit offers full-surface balanced support, and Podium offers responsive cooling comfort. Each comes in Firm, Medium and Plush. The site shows 4.8 stars on both lines, a 365-night trial, free shipping in the continental US and a Forever warranty. You can't test one in a store, and many policy details aren't published.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

If you sleep on your side, start with the Podium Plush 16in (3 of 10) or the OmniFit Plush 14in (4 of 10). They give the deepest sink around your shoulders and hips. Back and combination sleepers get neutral middle picks in the OmniFit Medium 13in (7 of 10) or Podium Medium 14in (6 of 10), by site ratings.

Stomach and heavier sleepers should look at the OmniFit Firm 12in (10 of 10) or Podium Firm 12in (9 of 10). They give the most lifted feel by site ratings. Both lines name cooling covers and ventilated bases, and Podium adds Tempwave PCM. The brand doesn't publish independent cooling test data.

The site claims Hive coils limit motion spread for couples. The brand doesn't publish independent motion or edge lab testing. All of this guidance follows the site's feel scores, not independent testing.

Mattress prices and value

These are the site prices we captured. OmniFit Firm 12in is Twin $499.99, Full $599.99, Queen $699.99 and King $899.99. OmniFit Medium 13in is Queen $799.99 and King $999.99. OmniFit Plush 14in is Queen $899.99 and King $1,099.99. An Apex Plush topper is $149 and a Cooling Sheet Set is $129.

Podium Firm 12in is Twin $599.99, Full $699.99, Queen $799.99, King $999.99 and Ultra $1,199.99. Podium Medium 14in is Queen $999.99, King $1,199.99 and Ultra $1,499.99. Podium Plush 16in is Queen $1,299.99, King $1,599.99 and Ultra $1,699.99.

OmniFit undercuts Podium at each feel tier. On its comparison page, the brand undercuts Purple on Queen, at $799 against $1,499. A 365-night trial and Forever warranty back it up. We didn't capture live sale prices or financing terms beyond a Klarna and Afterpay mention. Confirm the live price for your size before you buy.

What are the mattresses made of?

The OmniFit has a seven-part stack, per the site. It has a HyFresh chilled-touch cover with airy fibers and a Fusion patented memory foam shaping layer. Next come gel-loaded dense foam, Hive honeycomb pocket coils, a dense core foam stabilizer, a lower dense foam base and a ventilated mesh underside.

The Podium also has seven parts. It has a Coolmax chilled-touch cover and Pulse foam with Tempwave PCM. Then come cooling high-density foam, Hive honeycomb matrix pocket coils, core high-density foam, enhanced high-density foam and a cooling mesh lower cover.

The brand claims no fiberglass, CertiPUR-US foams, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 fabrics, ISPA membership, BSCI production standards and US flammability compliance. It doesn't publish certificate numbers or lab documents (checked September 2026). It also doesn't publish foam densities, ILDs, coil counts, coil gauges, cover fabric weights or fire-barrier material. The factory is unnamed beyond an Atlantic seaboard build and US regional warehouses.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

Beyond the Forever warranty against eligible material and workmanship flaws, the brand doesn't publish durability terms (checked September 2026). That includes sag-depth thresholds, measurement methods, prorating, foundation requirements and exclusions beyond normal softening and misuse.

The durability signals come from the site only. They're core and enhanced high-density base foams, Hive coil fields and reinforced perimeters. We found no independent durability testing from Cornell, RTINGS or Sleep Foundation. Read the current one- and two-star reviews on the site, and keep your foundation compliant before you buy.

Customer reviews and complaints

On the site, OmniFit shows 4.8 stars from 97 reviews and Podium 4.8 stars from 149 reviews. A site survey claims 9 out of 10 for backing, pressure relief and cooler sleep from July 2026 owners. The site's themes mention back and hip comfort, a cool-touch surface, steady edges and low motion transfer. Some notes mention a firmer-than-expected feel and up to 48-hour expansion.

The site lists 2026 media coverage from Nap Lab, New York Post, Toms Guide, The Baller Code, Sustain Health and Ready Set Ball. We didn't read those reviews. The brand doesn't publish third-party ratings from Trustpilot, BBB, Google, Sleep Foundation, Mattress Clarity, Sleepopolis or RTINGS (checked September 2026). We found no verified complaint themes from primary sources. Read current one-star reviews before you buy.

Where can you try and buy?

You can only buy online, direct at sleepmax.com. The OmniFit and Podium have their own product pages, plus a mattress collection page and a comparison hub. The brand doesn't publish a store locator, showroom or try-before-buy program (checked September 2026). We found no Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, Costco or other third-party listings.

Support is 24-7 from Sleep Specialists by chat, by phone at +1 (832) 895-5079, or by email, through the contact page. The brand has Facebook, Instagram and YouTube profiles.

Delivery, setup and removal

Standard shipping is free within the continental US from regional warehouses across the East, Central, West and South. Processing usually takes 0 to 1 days, with average transit of 1 to 3 days and estimated delivery in 1 to 4 business days. The site says 70 percent or more of orders arrive next day where local inventory allows. You get tracking by email or SMS.

Delivery is to the home entrance, per the site's wording. The brand doesn't publish Alaska, Hawaii or international coverage. It doesn't publish in-home setup, assembly, white-glove service, old-mattress removal, or foundation, frame and adjustable-base specs (checked September 2026). Confirm base requirements before you buy.

Sleep trial and returns

You get a 365-night at-home trial that starts on delivery day, per the site. You contact the team for guided return handling. We couldn't read the trial page, so we can't confirm break-in minimums, condition requirements or refund timing.

The site advertises free returns with terms applying. The brand doesn't publish return shipping, the pickup method, an exchange path between Firm, Medium and Plush, or refund timing (checked September 2026). No fees are stated beyond standard terms-apply language. Confirm the live trial and return terms on your exact listing before you buy.

Warranty

The warranty is marketed as Forever and Lifetime against eligible material and workmanship flaws. Normal softening and misuse are excluded, per the summaries we saw. We couldn't read the warranty page, so we haven't verified the full terms.

The brand doesn't publish warranty length conditions, a sag-depth minimum, a prorating schedule, transferability or foundation requirements (checked September 2026). It also doesn't publish stain or cover-removal exclusions, commercial-use terms, claim steps or the remedy order of repair, replacement or refund. Keep proof of purchase, photograph any defect early and confirm the full terms before you buy.

SleepMax vs. other brands

Against Purple, SleepMax claims Queen at $799 against $1,499, 365 nights against 100 nights, and a Lifetime warranty against 10 years. It also pits Coolmax plus Tempwave PCM against Purple's GelFlex Grid. SleepMax runs comparison hubs against Casper, Saatva and Nectar, but we only read the Purple page.

Overall, SleepMax competes on lower entry pricing, a longer trial and a lifetime-claimed warranty. Larger rivals offer store trials, deeper spec sheets and broader independent review coverage. Verify the rivals' live prices and terms, since brand comparison pages favor the host.

How we put this review together

We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.
