SleepEZ Mattress Review

SleepEZ bills itself as number one in organic and natural latex mattresses since 1976. It's a US maker that sells adjustable, component latex beds direct. The core lines use 100 percent natural Dunlop latex, with optional natural Talalay, in zippered cotton and wool covers. You can split firmness and swap layers at home. It's a good fit if you like tuning a latex bed. You get a 90-night trial and a 20-year guarantee on the flagship latex. The catches are a $99 return fee and DIY assembly.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

Side sleepers can try the 10-inch Natural or Organic with Soft over Medium, or Soft Talalay over Dunlop, for hip and shoulder cushion. Back sleepers can try Medium or Medium-Firm Dunlop stacks. Stomach sleepers can pick Firm or Extra-Firm stacks or the Roma Firm side. Heavier stomach sleepers should use the 13-inch or confirm support. Combination sleepers can look at Talalay-top builds or the Hybrid.

Over 300 lbs, the brand suggests the 13-inch four-slab build. The Hybrid suits about 230 to 240 lbs per sleeper. Queen and King beds split down the middle, so partners can differ. NapLab's lab data notes lively rebound but weaker motion isolation and edge hold. The brand suggests Talalay-heavy builds for fibromyalgia and pressure sensitivity.

Mattress prices and value

Starting prices are $799.00 for Natural, $999.00 for Organic, $849.00 for the Hybrid and $599.00 for Roma. Toppers start at $148.00 and pillows at $49.00. That's before any banner deal. A banner showed $500 off mattresses plus free pillows, with BOGO 50 percent off pillows and 20 percent off latex toppers. The latex pages offer 1 free latex pillow for Twin and Twin XL and 2 for Full through Cal King, plus a SlumberLuxe protector.

The brand doesn't publish per-size price tables, financing terms or RV and sofa-bed prices (checked September 2026). NapLab lists queen examples at $1,699 for 9 inches and $2,499 for 13 inches. Re-stacking, a $30 first layer swap and split firmness stretch the lifespan. Compare your final depth and Talalay count against Flexus, Sleep On Latex and PlushBeds.

What are the mattresses made of?

The Natural line is 100 percent natural tree-rubber Dunlop, stated at about 98 percent pure. The Organic line adds a per-layer choice of GOLS-stated Dunlop or 100 percent natural Talalay. Dunlop is denser and firmer. Talalay is bouncier. Natural covers are 1-inch cotton quilted to New Zealand Joma wool with a 360-degree zipper. Organic uses organic cotton knit.

A wool fire barrier replaces chemical retardants on component latex. Roma uses bamboo-derived rayon plus CertiPUR-US foam in the quilt pads. The Hybrid has 5 inches of latex plus pocketed coils. It uses Bolsa interior and Quantum Edge Elite perimeter, with 16-gauge center and 15-gauge edge coils.

Coil counts are Twin 612, Twin XL 650, Full 816, Queen 968, Eastern King 1188 and Cal King 1189. The brand states GOLS for Organic Dunlop, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 for latex and GOTS-approved organic cotton. It doesn't publish Eco-INSTITUT or Greenguard certificates, adhesive details or foundation specs (checked September 2026).

How well do the mattresses hold up?

The brand says latex resists lasting dips and partner motion. Natural and Organic component latex carry a 20-year guarantee, with full replacement for the first 10 years for qualifying factory faults. Roma and Hybrid carry a 10-year limited warranty. Shipping is excluded. You can unzip and swap layers as your needs change.

We found no independent sag or longevity testing. Component comfort depends on picking the right stack. NapLab notes weaker edge hold and motion isolation despite strong responsiveness and pressure comfort.

Customer reviews and complaints

The brand doesn't publish on-site ratings or review counts (checked September 2026). NapLab rates the SleepEZ Organic Latex Best For Customizable Firmness, with 8.64 overall, about 2.07 inches of sink and 10.28 inches of rebound. It gives top marks for responsiveness and pressure comfort, and lower marks for motion isolation and edge hold.

We couldn't read Trustpilot, BBB or Google ratings. General latex forums often praise layer-swap service and value, with complaints about heavy DIY assembly, new-latex odor and firmness trial and error. That isn't verified for SleepEZ. Policy details that may surprise you are the $99 return fee, donation-based returns and freight on later swaps.

Where can you try and buy?

You buy direct at sleepez.com, with fast FedEx shipping from Phoenix, AZ per the Roma page. There aren't any showrooms, dealers or try-in-person rooms. We didn't find Amazon, chain or local-dealer availability. Phone, chat and showroom details aren't published (checked September 2026). Support pages for warranty, returns, assembly and financing are linked from product pages.

Delivery, setup and removal

Delivery is free on latex and Hybrid beds. Roma states no charge in the contiguous US, with a surcharge for Alaska and Hawaii. Most orders ship in 3 to 4 business days or sooner. Transit is 3 to 10 days by location. Some Cal King and non-split Talalay builds add 1 to 2 days. Beds arrive compressed, rolled and boxed, in multiple cartons for Kings and multi-tier builds.

You stack the layers yourself inside the zippered cover. No tools are described. The brand doesn't publish base requirements, white-glove setup, delivery windows or old-mattress removal (checked September 2026).

Sleep trial and returns

You get a 90-night risk-free trial with a $99 return fee. Hybrid and Roma returns ask you to donate the bed locally and send the receipt. You'll keep any pillows. The first layer swap is $30. Later swaps cost full shipping. Queen and King split layers let you swap one side.

The brand doesn't publish restocking, pickup, or Alaska and Hawaii return details. Use the height, weight and sleep-position tool before ordering, and keep the packaging until the stack feels right.

Warranty

Natural and Organic component latex carry a 20-year manufacturer guarantee against defects, shipping excluded. Full replacement applies for the first 10 years if the defect qualifies. Roma carries a 10-year limited warranty with full replacement, transport excluded. The Hybrid carries a 10-year limited warranty on the same terms.

The brand doesn't publish sag depth, claim steps or exclusions such as comfort preference, stains and abuse (checked September 2026). You pay replacement freight after the covered terms. Confirm sag thresholds and claim steps in writing before you buy.
