Rest Assured Mattress Review

Rest Assured Mattress Company is a family-owned factory in Rochester, Minnesota. It has built mattresses on site since 1991. Seven lines run from budget Bonnell coils to premium Leggett and Platt pocket coils, priced from $119 up to custom quotes. It's US-made and delivers anywhere in the US. You won't find a free sleep trial or online checkout. South Africa's restassured.co.za is a separate, unrelated company.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

Side sleepers with hip or shoulder pressure should look at Cloud 9 Bolsa in a Plush, Micro or Royal pillow-top build. Back sleepers who need lumbar support can try Phoenix Combi Zone, or Quantum for maximum firmness. Stomach sleepers should pick Phoenix or Quantum without a pillow top to keep hips level.

Combination sleepers do well on Cloud 9 Bolsa Nano or Flex. Couples get good motion separation from any Best-line coil or Shooting Star. Kids, teens and guest rooms suit Saturn or the softer Venus. Heavier adults should choose Phoenix or Quantum for stronger center and edge support.

The brand says coil mattresses sleep about 28 percent cooler than foam. Owners of campers, boats, semi-trucks, antique beds and ice houses can order custom sizes.

Mattress prices and value

The FAQ says mattresses run from $119 and up to high-end luxury beds. The brand says it never runs sales, so everyone gets the same everyday price. Saturn starts at $220, Venus at $250 and Shooting Star at $399.

Cloud 9 Bolsa, Phoenix Combi Zone, Quantum, Morning Star and custom or contract builds are priced by quote only. A flip version costs extra but gives you a second sleep surface. Financing includes 6- and 12-month interest-free plans through Synchrony, plus layaway.

Saturn, Venus and Shooting Star look like strong value under $400 against big-chain beds. Best-line value depends on your quote. USA-made Leggett and Platt coils and factory service help.

What are the mattresses made of?

Support cores include Leggett and Platt USA-made pocket coils in Bolsa, Combi-Zone and Quantum (1,800 or more coils in queen). Shooting Star has Caliber Edge coils, 660 in full. Saturn has 336 Bonnell steel coils in full. CertiPUR-US certified foam is used in foam and institutional builds.

Comfort layers include high-density polyfoam, quilted covers, Tranquility foam, 1-inch Nano and 2.75-inch Micro mini-coil layers, Saddle Pad center pads and support netting. The brand sells no memory foam. Custom latex is available by special order. Best and Better lines use a steel-grid-on-wood foundation. Good lines use all wood, which may squeak over time.

Every prototype meets 16 CFR Part 1633 open-flame rules through independent lab testing. Kevlar thread means the beds aren't sprayed with flame retardants or boric acid. The brand doesn't publish foam densities, layer thicknesses or cover fabrics for most models (checked September 2026).

How well do the mattresses hold up?

The brand builds with stress-relieved pre-compressed coils, tempered-steel edges, Saddle Pad center pads and support netting. It claims coil beds outlast foam and says a regularly flipped two-sided bed lasts longer. Warranty lengths hint at expected life. They're 10 years on Cloud 9, Phoenix and Quantum, 5 years on Saturn, Venus and Shooting Star, and 1 year on Morning Star and Shooting Star Discount.

One testimonial says a bed felt soft after 6 to 7 years. The brand doesn't publish independent durability tests or impression-depth limits (checked September 2026).

Customer reviews and complaints

Testimonials on the site are strongly positive. Rob C. praises unhurried expert guidance and same-day delivery. Alyssa Gabrielson reports her back pain resolved after a few months. Bryant Anderson says his bed is still soft after 6 to 7 years.

The company lists a Yelp page, but the brand doesn't publish a rating or review count. We saw no BBB rating, Google count or Trustpilot page (checked September 2026). We found no pattern of complaints on the official site. Don't confuse this brand with the reviews for South Africa's restassured.co.za.

You can pick lower-cost Front Door Delivery, which is doorstep only, or Delivery plus Setup. Setup includes inside placement, new-bed setup, and moving and bagging the old bed.

You'll get a confirmation call the day before and a two-hour arrival window. An exact-time window of plus or minus 20 minutes costs extra. Old-mattress removal carries a per-piece fee on delivery day, or you can drop it off at the factory. Build time runs from a few hours (20 or more beds are typically in stock) to a few weeks for made-to-order beds. The brand doesn't publish free-delivery minimums (checked September 2026).

Sleep trial and returns

There's no free sleep trial with free return shipping. Instead, the Comfort Guarantee offers comfort adjustments for as long as the warranty lasts on Cloud 9, Phoenix and Quantum. Saturn, Venus, Shooting Star, Morning Star and Discount lines are excluded.

In the first 6 months, a coil change or firmness swap costs $250 (Twin or Twin XL), $300 (Full or Queen) or $400 (King), plus any pillow-top price difference. After 6 months, add a $100 per year service fee plus parts. A Year 3 change costs $300 plus parts. The bed must be clean and stain-free. You transport it or pay mileage pickup and redelivery.

The brand doesn't publish full refunds, restocking fees or trial-night counts (checked September 2026).

Warranty

Warranties cover defects in materials or workmanship only. The company repairs or replaces after inspection. Comfort preference is handled under the Comfort Guarantee. Cloud 9 Bolsa, Phoenix Combi Zone and Quantum have 10 years. Saturn, Venus and Shooting Star have 5 years. Morning Star and Shooting Star Discount have 1 year.

The bed must be clean, unstained and free of moisture. You transport it to the factory or pay for pickup and return. Damage, abuse, stains, a wrong frame or foundation, and comfort changes aren't covered. The brand doesn't publish registration steps, proration or sag-depth limits (checked September 2026).

Rest Assured Mattress vs. other brands

Against national chains and bed-in-a-box brands, Rest Assured is factory-direct with USA-made Leggett and Platt coils, tours, custom sizes and contract builds. But it has one showroom, no online checkout, no free trial and quote-only Best-line pricing. South Africa's Rest Assured at restassured.co.za is an unrelated company.

Rest Assured sells no memory foam, citing heat, odor, off-gassing and mobility complaints. It steers you to coil or hybrid builds. Against budget innerspring sellers, Saturn from $220 and Shooting Star from $399 compete on price with stronger coil specs and local service.
