Novaform Mattress Review
Novaform is a value mattress label sold only at Costco, through warehouses and costco.com. FXI (FoamEx Innovations) makes it in the USA. It has about nine collections of gel memory foam and hybrids, from roughly $159 to $899, with a 20-year warranty and Costco's satisfaction-guarantee returns. You'll find it best if you're a budget-minded Costco member. The big caveat is that independent lab tests rank several models below average and flag low-grade materials.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?
If you sleep on your back, the medium ComfortGrande (5/10) and medium-firm SoFresh Plus (6/10) suit average-weight sleepers. Firm Dreamaway (8/10) and extra-firm Advanced Back Support Plus (9/10) suit back and stomach sleepers who want a hard, low-sink surface.
Side sleepers have a hard time. NapLab marks the extra-firm and firm models a poor fit and rates pressure relief weak across the line. The softer Serafina settings are the closest option but tested poorly for support.
Gel and PerfectTemp names target cooling, but independent cooling scores are middling, at roughly 7.0 to 8.4 out of 10. Heavier sleepers are safer on the thicker 13-14 inch models. The brand doesn't publish firmness-by-weight guidance (checked September 2026).
Mattress prices and value
Costco prices at the time of independent review were Dreamaway Twin $159 and Full $209. SoFresh Plus ran $329 to $549. ComfortGrande ran $399 to $699. Serafina ran $749 queen to $899 king. Prices move with Costco coupons and roadshows. Live Costco pricing was unavailable when we checked in September 2026.
These are among the lowest everyday mattress prices in the US, and Costco's return policy lowers your risk. Independent tests find materials and performance below comparably priced Zinus, Lucid and Siena options. Buy at a coupon price, and use Costco returns if the comfort disappoints.
What are the mattresses made of?
Builds are all-foam or foam over coils, depending on the collection. No latex core is published. The ComfortGrande law tag shows 96% polyurethane foam pad with gel-bead foam, plus 3% blended fiber batting (80% rayon, 20% polyester). The cover is polyester, nylon, polyethylene and spandex. FXI makes it in Baldwyn, MS. The Queen is 60 x 80 x 14 inches at about 78 lb, though NapLab measured about 13 inches.
SoFresh Plus is 10 inches. Dreamaway is 8 inches of memory foam over support foam. The brand doesn't publish covers, fire barriers, foam densities, coil counts, or CertiPUR-US, OEKO-TEX, GOTS, GOLS and Greenguard claims (checked September 2026). Law tags say it's made in the USA of domestic and imported components.
How well do the mattresses hold up?
The brand headline is a 20-year limited warranty. It doesn't publish a sag threshold, exclusions or claim process. NapLab's ComfortGrande unit had uneven loft, 12.5 to 13.25 inches against 14 marketed. The foam failed to fully rebound after 110 days boxed. NapLab scores the materials as low quality across all four models it tested.
We found no independent longevity testing. Care guidance beyond spot-clean-only law tag notes isn't published. FXI is a large US foam producer, but that doesn't verify how long the mattress lasts.
Customer reviews and complaints
Novaform has no brand site or review system. Feedback lives on Costco listings, which weren't available in September 2026. NapLab ranks the line poorly. ComfortGrande is near the bottom 2%. Serafina Pearl is the bottom 12% at 7.66 overall. SoFresh Plus is below average, and Dreamaway is among the worst tested. Advanced Back Support Plus scored 7.68, the bottom 13%.
Complaints include a low-quality synthetic foam feel, heat retention despite gel names, and long off-gassing (Serafina about 26 days). You'll also see weak edge support and thin models that don't support adults. Costco's generous returns absorb much of the complaint risk, which means fewer public complaints.
Where can you try and buy?
You can try and buy only at Costco warehouses and costco.com, and a paid Costco membership is required. There's no brand site, showroom, dealer or phone ordering. Warehouse floor models and roadshows are the only way to try one first.
Warranty and support route through Costco concierge services and the maker, FXI. The brand doesn't publish which sibling brands share FXI factories (checked September 2026).
Delivery, setup and removal
The mattress ships compressed in a box to your door, or you can pick it up at a warehouse, under Costco's standard fulfillment. The brand doesn't publish cost, speed or geographic limits (checked September 2026). Setup is standard. Unbox it, set it on a base, and let it expand and air out.
The brand doesn't publish base specs, white-glove setup or old-mattress removal. Costco's standard delivery terms apply and vary by listing.
Sleep trial and returns
There's no brand trial because Novaform sells only through Costco. Costco's satisfaction-guarantee policy covers it. NapLab scores that as an effective 365-night return window with $0 fees and in-person warehouse returns.
Return it in usable condition to a warehouse or through costco.com. Exchanges work as a return plus repurchase. NapLab lists $0 shipping and $0 returns, but confirm on your live listing before you buy.
Warranty
A 20-year limited warranty headline backs the line, from maker FXI through Costco. That's longer than the typical 10-year value-mattress term. The brand doesn't publish covered parts, sag depth, exclusions, transferability or claim requirements (checked September 2026).
Start claims through Costco concierge services with photos, law-tag images and proof of purchase. Read the warranty card on your listing before you rely on the 20-year headline.
Novaform vs. other brands
Against Zinus, Novaform wins on Costco in-person returns and the 20-year headline warranty. Zinus wins on published specs, size range and stronger independent scores. Against Lucid, Novaform wins on try-before-you-buy and return ease. Lucid wins on model breadth and published densities.
Against Casper and Casper Element, Novaform wins decisively on price. Casper wins on trial clarity, published materials and reviews. Against Tempur-Pedic and Sealy at Costco, Novaform wins on price. Those brands win on materials, support and warranty documents.
How we put this review together
We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.
