MedMattress Review

MedMattress is a medical and long-term-care supplier, a DiaMedical USA division. It isn't a mainstream comfort brand. Its made-to-order lineup spans Med-Surg foam, bariatric, alternating-pressure and low-air-loss surfaces, and RV mattresses. They're for hospitals, long-term-care units and home hospital beds. Prices run from budget Care foam to premium rotation therapy. If you want a regular bed for back pain or cooling, look at mainstream brands instead. You'll want clinician input before you order.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

If you have moderate risk on a standard hospital bed and a tight budget, step up through Care, Plus Care and Pro Care. If you need edge support and fluid protection at moderate to high risk, look at Advanced Care (300 lbs). Ultra Care is the highest Med-Surg tier. If you need support for 500 to 1000 lbs, pick Bari Care for moderate risk or Bari Ultra Care with a gel top for high risk.

If you want pressure cycling at home on a budget, try the Air 3000 (350 lbs) or the Air 4000 (400 lbs, digital pump, low-air-loss). For full rotation therapy, the K-Z Turn (500 lbs) is a clinician or facility purchase. V36 details aren't published (checked September 2026). For RV, van or trailer comfort that isn't medical, there's the Glamper Hybrid. Always match your hospital-bed size. Advanced Care offers 34 to 38 inches wide and 74 to 84 inches long. Get clinician input on pressure-injury risk.

Mattress prices and value

Med-Surg foam runs from $286.33 (Care) to $559.99 (Ultra Care), with Advanced Care from $457.99. Bari Care and Bari Ultra Care are price on request, so you'll call. The Air Overlay is $87.99, the Air 3000 is $330.99 and the Air 4000 is $418.17. The K-Z Turn is $14,985.47 with its control unit. The RV Glamper Hybrid starts at $372.99.

The budget Care and Air lines undercut powered surfaces for home care. The K-Z Turn is priced like capital equipment. Every mattress listing says additional shipping charges apply. Free online shipping over $100 in the contiguous US excludes expedited orders and doesn't erase freight. Some prices exclude freight and handling. The brand does not publish bundle pricing or full size price grids (checked September 2026).

What are the mattresses made of?

The Med-Surg and bariatric beds use multi-layer, high-density, medical-grade CertiPUR-US foam. Advanced Care has three 2-inch layers: a contour top, a responsive middle and a support base. Bari Ultra adds a cool-gel memory-foam top. Covers have a Nymed nylon top with a polyurethane fluid barrier and a Vynmed vinyl base. They zip off, with a heat-sealed inner moisture shield, a fire shield and FirmEdge edge zones. The brand claims liquid, stain, microbe, odor and static resistance. It also says they're hypoallergenic and latex-free.

The air systems use air-cell bladders with electric pumps. The Air 3000 has an adjustable knob with 10-minute cycles and a low-air alert. The Air 4000 has a deluxe digital pump with auto-shutoff and laser vent holes. The K-Z Turn has a 1275 LPM blower, RTPM pressure sensing and a stretch-nylon low-shear top. The Glamper Hybrid has a quilted pillow-top with fiber fill over high-density foam, over individually wrapped Bolsa coils with a non-skid base. It's CertiPUR-US foam and roll-packed. The Advanced Care page says it meets Cal TB 129 and 16 CFR 1633.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

The brand does not publish foam durability ratings, density or ILD figures, or long-term testing (checked September 2026). The signals you can see are multi-tier high-density foam, reinforced FirmEdge zones and a tear-resistant vinyl base. You also get zip-off covers with an inner moisture shield. Premium units add low-air-loss or rotation pumps with alarms and CPR deflate.

Published warranties are short, at 1 to 2 years. That's typical for medical surfaces, where covers and pumps wear first. We found no third-party longevity reviews. Expect cover hygiene and pump maintenance to drive lifespan, and follow the cleaning and turning guidance in the manuals.

Customer reviews and complaints

The official product pages show no customer review counts, star ratings, praise themes or complaint histories (checked September 2026). We couldn't verify BBB, Trustpilot, Google or retailer review totals. Medical surfaces often draw complaints about heat, cover noise, edge firmness, pump noise and freight damage. We can't pin those on MedMattress without data.

Treat this as an evidence gap. Ask for facility references, and read the pump and cover manuals before you buy.

Where can you try and buy?

You can buy direct at medmattress.com, which has hospital-bed, bariatric, treatment and prevention, and RV categories. You can also go through the parent, DiaMedical USA. Call (877) 593-6011 on weekdays, or email Info@MedMattress.com. Made-to-order sizes and government pricing are offered.

The brand does not publish try-out showrooms, a dealer locator or marketplace storefronts (checked September 2026). Confirm the exact bed-frame fit with the seller before you order. Hospital sizes run 34 to 38 inches wide and 74 to 84 inches long. If you're a clinical buyer, use quotes or contracts.

Delivery, setup and removal

It ships from the US. The site offers free online shipping on orders over $100 before tax in the contiguous US, online only and non-expedited. Mattress listings say additional shipping charges apply, and some prices exclude freight and handling. Canada goes by UPS Standard plus freight. Other international orders go by DHL or USPS plus freight. USPS tracking is US-only.

Made-to-order sizes suggest lead times, but the brand does not publish production times (checked September 2026). It doesn't publish white-glove setup, room-of-choice placement or old-mattress removal either. Assume curbside, parcel or freight delivery unless you're quoted otherwise.

Sleep trial and returns

The brand does not publish a consumer sleep trial (checked September 2026). This is a made-to-order medical supplier, not a 100-night-trial brand. It doesn't publish return steps, time windows, restocking fees or refund methods. The Terms excerpt we saw covered only shipping and international terms.

Hygiene rules often bar returns on medical surfaces. Confirm in writing before you buy, especially for Bari, Air and K-Z Turn units. Custom sizes are typically non-returnable, so check your quote.

Warranty

Advanced Care has 1 year of standard coverage, with longer options on the product page. The terms for extended coverage aren't published. The Home Care Air 4000 has a 2-year non-prorated warranty. The K-Z Turn has 1 year of parts and labor.

The brand does not publish durations or claim steps for the other models (checked September 2026). Those are Care, Plus Care, Pro Care, Ultra Care, Bari Care, Bari Ultra Care, Air 1500, Air 3000, V36 and Glamper Hybrid. It also doesn't publish the cover, core and pump splits or claim freight. Exclusions such as stains, misuse and weight over the limit aren't published either. Request the warranty sheet with your quote.

MedMattress vs. other brands

Against Drive DeVilbiss, Medline, Invacare and Span-America, MedMattress is a focused made-to-order support-surface shop under a medical-supply parent. It isn't a full medical equipment catalog. Its strengths are a clear good-better-best Med-Surg ladder, a gel-top bariatric option and low-cost home air systems.

Its gaps against the large rivals are no published review base and shorter published warranties on flagships. Bariatric pricing is call-for-pricing. We also couldn't verify dealer or contract breadth.

How we put this review together

We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.
