Foamma Mattress Review

Foamma is a California custom-cut foam shop. It makes mattresses to order in any size, shape, thickness and firmness, not standard bed-in-a-box sizes. Four lines run from $79.99 to $229.90 and up: Core Comfort, Signature Organic Blend, Deluxe Organic Zip-NonSlip and an Easy Care Semi Truck model. You get CertiPUR-US foam, free US shipping and a 10-year warranty. The big catch is that custom orders are final sale. There's no sleep trial, so measure carefully.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

Side sleepers should choose Plush or Medium Firm with an added gel memory layer for pressure relief. Back sleepers of average weight do well with Medium Firm at 6 to 10 in. Stomach sleepers should choose Firm.

Heavier sleepers over 150 lb can use the semi-truck heavy-duty build, which is made for full-body support. Thicker 10 to 12 in profiles add stability. Optional gel memory foam disperses heat, and the organic cotton covers breathe. The brand doesn't publish an active-cooling system.

Any line can be cut to short, narrow or shaped bunks with corner cut-outs. Confirm the exact length, corner radius and thickness against your platform first. Custom sizes can't be returned.

Mattress prices and value

On the current foammausa.com store, Core Comfort starts at $79.99, Signature Organic Blend at $129.90 and Deluxe Custom Organic Zip-NonSlip at $229.90. The final price rises with size, thickness, firmness and gel options in the configurator.

The brand doesn't publish a starting price for Easy Care Semi Truck (checked September 2026). The older foamma.com RV, bunk and custom-cushion tools also quote by size, thickness and gel layer.

Entry pricing undercuts most custom and RV mattress rivals, and free US shipping helps. The brand doesn't publish per-size prices, financing or promotions, so you'll need to configure your build to see the real cost.

What are the mattresses made of?

The cores are all foam, and the brand doesn't list coils. The older foamma.com menu includes HR-33 high-resilience 2.5 lb medium foam and FA 1.2 soft foam at 1.2 lb, about 24 ILD. It also has FA 1.4 medium at 1.4 lb, about 36 ILD, and FA 1.8 high-density at 1.8 lb, about 46 ILD. FA 2.2 extra high-density is 2.2 lb, about 48 ILD.

Gel memory foam is about 3.2 lb. Natural latex is about 5 lb and 58 ILD. The menu also lists dry-fast outdoor, boat, charcoal, convoluted packing and acoustic foams. The older RV build uses a 1.8 lb, 44 ILD base with 1 to 2 in of 4 lb gel memory foam.

Covers vary by line, from navy poly poplin on Core to organic cotton on Deluxe. Older options include quilted, knit and jacquard covers and a bamboo water-resistant zipper cover. CertiPUR-US foam is claimed on the gel topper, the RV page and storewide. The brand doesn't publish GOTS, GOLS, OEKO-TEX or Greenguard certificates (checked September 2026), so organic claims are the brand's own. It says the products are made in California.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

The 10-year limited warranty covers visible sagging or body impressions over 1.5 inches not caused by a bad foundation. It also covers foam that splits, cracks or crumbles, and seam or zipper defects. It needs a supportive foundation. That means a solid platform or closely spaced slats, with center support and one center leg on Queen, King and California King.

Comfort softening, impressions under 1.5 inches and customer mis-orders aren't covered. The remedy is a replacement, not a refund. The brand doesn't publish independent durability testing (checked September 2026). Its durability claims come from the brand alone.

Customer reviews and complaints

Judge.me review widgets sit on foammausa.com product pages, but the brand doesn't publish review counts or average ratings (checked September 2026). The older foamma.com testimonials page has positive quotes with no ratings or dates.

Outside review hosts weren't open to us. We have no ratings from Google, BBB, Trustpilot, Yelp, Sleep Foundation or RTINGS, and no clear complaint themes. Foamma is a made-to-order shop, so feedback lives in on-site widgets and direct messages, and public complaints are thin.

Where can you try and buy?

Foamma sells direct only. Order through foammausa.com, the current store with the four mattress lines, replacement foam and RV options. The older foamma.com tools cover custom cushions, RV, bunk, truck, camping and home mattresses. There aren't any showrooms or dealers.

Call (310) 307-9540 or email info@foamma.com. Older lines list (800) 460-4828 and (213) 640-7149. Addresses include 9749 Variel Ave, Chatsworth, CA 91311 and a returns address at 117 W 9th Ste 815, Los Angeles, CA 90015. Simi Valley is tied to current operations. Staff help with measuring, shapes and templates before you order.

Delivery, setup and removal

Free standard shipping covers the 50 United States. US territories are excluded, but you can contact the brand to arrange shipping. Oversized or freight orders may cost extra. Most custom products take up to 10 to 14 business days. That's about 14 business days of production plus 1 to 3 days of delivery. You'll get tracking by email.

Under the older foamma.com policy, non-custom items ordered before 3:00 PM PST ship the same day, Monday to Friday. Custom-cut items need 1 to 3 business days for cutting. Most parcels ship FedEx SmartPost in 2 to 8 business days, or FedEx Ground in 1 to 4 for heavier goods.

The brand doesn't publish expansion times, unboxing steps, white-glove setup or old-mattress removal (checked September 2026).

Sleep trial and returns

There's no sleep trial. All Foamma USA mattresses are final sale, with no returns or exchanges, for change of mind, wrong size ordered or feel. If Foamma makes an error or the bed arrives damaged, it remakes and ships a replacement free. It pays return shipping if needed. You'll need photos, video and a tape-measure photo. Refunds aren't offered on custom items.

The older foamma.com policy differs. Non-custom items can be returned within 30 days in original packaging at your shipping cost. Custom-cut items can't be returned unless wrong or defective. A disclaimer caps refunds on made-to-spec orders at 20 percent of what you paid. The brand doesn't publish a restocking fee.

Warranty

The 10-year limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal home use. It's for the original buyer from Foamma USA or an authorized seller, in the United States. It covers sagging over 1.5 inches, foam splitting or crumbling, and seam or zipper defects.

Exclusions include comfort preferences, normal softening, wrong size or firmness orders, misuse, cuts, burns, pet damage, stains, mold and pests. Sagging from a bad foundation, commercial use and later alterations aren't covered either. To claim, send order proof, photos and video, with a tape-measure shot of any sag. Approved claims get a same or comparable replacement. The warranty notes California Song-Beverly Act compliance.

Foamma vs. other brands

Against The Foam Factory, Foamma wins on finished custom mattresses with sewn covers, RV and semi-truck specials and free shipping. The Foam Factory wins on raw-foam range and a long review history. Against Mattress Insider, Foamma wins on entry pricing from $79.99 and washable non-slip truck covers. Mattress Insider has more reviews and accessories.

Against Tochta, Foamma wins on price and truck and outdoor lines. Tochta wins on complex shapes and project galleries. Against PlushBeds, Foamma wins on any-size cutting and low entry cost. PlushBeds wins on certified-organic latex, a published sleep trial and deeper third-party testing.
