Comfort RV Mattress Review

Comfort RV, listed on its site as Comfort RV Mattresses, is a custom RV mattress builder in Plantation, Florida. It claims over 45 years in the RV industry. It sells eight made-to-order lines from about $1,195 to about $2,095, with warranties of 1 to 15 years. It's a good fit if you need odd sizes, hinges or radius corners. You're not buying a standard home mattress. The biggest catch is that there's no trial and no returns.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

Side sleepers should look at Ultimate Comfort or Ultimate Comfort Hybrid in Soft or Medium, or Gel Comfort Hybrid in Soft. Back sleepers do well with Ultimate models in Medium or Firm, or Natural Comfort latex in Medium or Firm. Stomach sleepers should try Simply Comfort Firm or Dreamscape, the firmest published options.

Hot sleepers can choose gel-memory models or breathable latex models. The brand markets all of them as cool, but it doesn't publish cooling test data (checked September 2026). Couples get the best motion separation from a pocket-coil hybrid, especially Ultimate Comfort Hybrid. Kids, guests and occasional use suit Simply Comfort, which carries only a 1-year warranty.

Murphy beds, tilt beds and slide-outs need the $100 hinge option, the $50 radius-corner option, or both. Confirm your measurements. Heavier sleepers should look at 10 to 12 inch builds and hybrids. The brand doesn't publish weight limits.

Mattress prices and value

Sale prices in September 2026 were $1,195 to $1,395 for Simply Comfort and $1,295 to $1,495 for Gel Comfort. Natural Comfort was $1,395 to $1,995 and Ultimate Comfort $1,395 to $1,695. Dreamscape was $1,595 to $1,795. Gel Comfort Hybrid was $1,695 to $1,895, Natural Comfort Hybrid $1,795 to $1,995 and Ultimate Comfort Hybrid $1,795 to $2,095.

Taller heights add $100 to $300. A Soft feel adds $200 on several models. Radius corners add $50 and a hinge adds $100. A Summer Sleep Sale banner advertised up to 35 percent off.

It's premium pricing against mass-market RV mattresses. You're paying for made-to-order USA customization, not published materials. The 1-year Simply and 3-year Dreamscape warranties are short for the price. The 15-year Ultimate foam warranty is the best value signal.

What are the mattresses made of?

Foam lines use high-density foam cores and support layers. Gel lines add cool gel memory foam. Ultimate lines add a gel latex foam blend. Natural lines use organic latex foam. Tops are quilted damask, smooth or pillow top, depending on the model.

Hybrid and Dreamscape lines use individually wrapped pocket coils with foam edge encasement under foam or latex comfort layers. The brand says the mattresses are handcrafted and made to order in Florida. They ship flat and never roll-packed. Fabric and pattern may be substituted.

The brand doesn't publish foam densities, ILDs, coil counts, latex blends or certifications like CertiPUR-US, GOTS, GOLS or GREENGUARD (checked September 2026).

How well do the mattresses hold up?

We saw no independent durability tests (checked September 2026). The foam lines use high-density cores, and upper models add latex or gel-latex layers. Hybrids and Dreamscape have pocketed coils with reinforced foam edges. The brand says flat freight shipping protects lifespan.

Warranties rise with the build tier, from 1 year on Simply to 15 years on Ultimate foam. The warranty excludes normal wear under two inches. The site has an RV mattress care guide and an installation guide. It doesn't publish foundation or slat-spacing specs.

Customer reviews and complaints

Product pages carry a review widget, but it showed no average rating and no buyer reviews in September 2026. The brand doesn't publish Google, BBB, Trustpilot, Yelp or Facebook scores. It touts over 45 years in the RV industry and customer photos, but we couldn't confirm review volume.

Likely friction points come from the policies. There's no trial or return on custom orders. Cancellation terms contradict each other. Production takes 2 to 3 weeks. Freight is curbside only, and you pay to send a mattress to the Florida factory for warranty work.

Where can you try and buy?

You can buy direct only, at comfortrvmattresses.com. The site has size, height, firmness, hinge and corner tools. You can also call 954-451-5140 or email. The address is 6741 W Sunrise Blvd #9A, Plantation, FL 33313, the manufacturing site, with local pickup offered.

There are no stores, showrooms or authorized retailers (checked September 2026). The same site sells RV toppers, sheet sets, protectors, pillows, bedspreads and Roadstar adjustable bases.

Delivery, setup and removal

Beds are made to order, with 2 to 3 weeks of production stated on product pages. The Ultimate Hybrid page shows a current 3-week lead time. They ship flat by LTL freight, with FedEx Freight, AAA Cooper and Southeastern Freight Lines named. They're never rolled or bent. The brand advertises Free US Shipping but doesn't itemize freight costs.

Residential delivery is curbside only, by appointment, with an adult 18 or older present. It happens within 1 to 3 business days of terminal arrival, and storage fees start after 3 business days. RV parks get delivery at the front office or gate, not the lot. Drivers don't unpack or install. Bedding ships in the same box. The brand doesn't publish old-mattress removal (checked September 2026).

Sleep trial and returns

There's no sleep trial. The FAQ says none is offered because the products are made to order. Returns and exchanges aren't accepted, because production starts on order. Defective or damaged items can go through customer service.

Cancellation terms contradict each other. The return page and FAQ allow cancellation within 24 hours of ordering. The cancellation page says the company accepts no cancellations. The brand doesn't publish a restocking schedule, and you pay warranty transport. Get cancellation terms in writing before you order.

Warranty

Limited warranties vary by model. Simply Comfort has 1 year and Dreamscape has 3 years. Gel Comfort, Gel Comfort Hybrid, Cool Comfort and Cool Comfort Hybrid have 5 years. Natural Comfort Hybrid has 7 years. Natural Comfort and Ultimate Comfort Hybrid have 10 years. Ultimate Comfort has 15 years. The Cool Comfort lines appear only on the warranty page.

Coverage is for internal or structural defects from the date of receipt, on mattresses only. It excludes the cover, fabric, quilting and borders. Soil, stains, tears, water damage, normal wear under two inches, and damage from a bad foundation, steam cleaning or chemicals aren't covered. You carry the mattress to the factory for repair. The brand doesn't publish claim steps beyond calling or emailing (checked September 2026).

Comfort RV vs. other brands

Against American RV Mattress, Comfort RV wins on breadth, with eight lines plus dual-comfort and hinged options, and a longer top warranty, 15 years against 10. It loses on trial, none against 60 nights, and on returns. Against Adventure RV Mattress, it wins on latex and gel-latex options but loses on trial length and review volume.

Against Tochta, it wins on lower starting prices and a simpler lineup. It loses on customization depth and published specs. Against Dynasty Mattress RV, it wins on its USA made-to-order story and flat freight. It loses on budget range and marketplace availability. Against bed-in-a-box brands, it wins on RV sizes, hinges and radius corners, but loses on trial, returns and setup.
