Comfort Boat Mattresses Review

Comfort Boat Mattresses is the boat division of Comfort Custom Mattresses and Marine Bedding Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It makes made-to-order mattresses for boats, yachts and sailboats, with over 40 years of marine experience. You can choose from eight foam and hybrid models. Each has a marine vinyl bottom for moisture resistance, and the brand keeps templates on file for many vessel brands. It doesn't sell a home bedroom line. Prices aren't published, and returns aren't accepted, so you'll want to check your dimensions by phone before you order.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

If you sleep in a hot or humid cabin, look at the DreamContour Gel, DreamWave Ultimate or DreamWeaver Ultimate Hybrid. They advertise gel cooling and breathable or moisture-wicking covers. If you want latex or have allergies, look at the DreamNature Latex or DreamComfort Latex Hybrid. The brand describes them as using Talalay or latex foam and hypoallergenic materials. If you like a bouncy, traditional innerspring feel, the DreamScape Coils fits.

For maximum luxury and the longest coverage, look at the DreamWave Ultimate with its 15-year warranty, or the DreamWeaver Ultimate Hybrid. On a tight budget, the DreamBoat Foam is the entry model, but its warranty is only 1 year. The brand doesn't publish firmness ratings, thickness options or sleeper-position guidance (checked September 2026). Confirm your feel choices with the company before you order.

Mattress prices and value

The brand doesn't publish dollar prices, size-based pricing, thickness or firmness upgrade costs or package-bundle pricing (checked September 2026). Pricing appears to be set per order by boat model and dimensions. We can't give a value score without prices.

The site advertised a Labor Day sale of up to 500 dollars off when we looked, with no regular-price baseline. Free US freight shipping is included, which adds value on oversized custom goods. We found no third-party retailer prices.

What are the mattresses made of?

Foam models combine high-density support foam with gel-infused memory foam, latex foam or both. The DreamNature Latex names Talalay latex. Hybrids add individually pocketed coils with edge-support foam. Covers include quilted damask fabric, breathable or moisture-wicking fabrics and plush pillow tops, depending on the model.

Every model page names a marine vinyl bottom meant to resist humidity, moisture, mold and mildew. The brand doesn't publish layer thicknesses, foam densities, coil counts, gauges or cover fabric specs. We found no third-party foam certifications (checked September 2026).

How well do the mattresses hold up?

The durability evidence is limited to the maker's claims and warranty length. The site describes uniform layered construction, neat stitching and marine-grade vinyl protection. Warranties run from 1 year on the DreamBoat Foam up to 15 years on the DreamWave Ultimate. The other six models carry 5 to 10 years.

We found no sag-depth threshold, compression data or independent durability testing. Cabin ventilation, platform support and proper care will affect how long yours lasts. We found no third-party longevity reviews.

Customer reviews and complaints

We found no Better Business Bureau rating, Google review count, Trustpilot score or on-site customer review content as of September 2026. Model pages show no star ratings, review counts or testimonials. We couldn't verify common marine-mattress complaints, such as fit accuracy, firmness mismatch, heat retention and freight damage, for this brand.

The strict no-return policy puts fit and comfort risk on you. Verify dimensions, hinge and fold needs, and firmness by phone before you order. We couldn't verify post-purchase feedback.

Where can you try and buy?

You buy direct at comfortboatmattresses.com by selecting your boat manufacturer and model. The shop-by-boat-model system covers brands such as Sea Ray, Bayliner, Hatteras, Regal, Tiara, Viking Yachts and dozens more. The brand advertises a Fort Lauderdale, Florida showroom and factory at 6741 W Sunrise Blvd, Suite 10B. Sales is at 954-358-9847.

We found no third-party retailers, marketplaces or home mattress stores carrying these models. The brand doesn't offer an in-home trial before purchase. Visit the showroom or call to talk through feel.

Delivery, setup and removal

Free US freight shipping is advertised on custom boat mattresses, by common-carrier trucking such as FedEx Freight, AAA Cooper or Southeastern Freight Lines. Typical transit is 2 to 5 business days. Delivery goes to your home, business or marina, with no PO Box shipping.

Freight is curbside drop-off only. The driver won't bring the mattress inside, unpack it or install it. An adult 18 or older must sign, so arrange help. The brand doesn't publish made-to-order lead times. It doesn't offer old-mattress removal, white-glove setup or inside delivery (checked September 2026). Report freight damage before you accept delivery.

Sleep trial and returns

The brand offers no sleep trial. It doesn't accept mattress returns, exchanges or refunds. Every mattress is custom-made to your specs and can't be resold or reused. Bedding and toppers are final sale too.

If the delivered size or shape is wrong, the company says it will work with you case by case to correct or replace it. But a fit up to 2.5 inches smaller all the way around, centered on the berth, counts as acceptable and isn't returnable. Buyer errors, such as picking the wrong boat model or not reporting berth changes, are your responsibility. Restocking and return-shipping fees don't apply, since returns are refused.

Warranty

Model-specific limited warranties cover internal defects in materials and manufacturing. The company chooses repair or replacement. The DreamWave Ultimate gets 15 years. The DreamWeaver Ultimate Hybrid and DreamNature Latex get 10 years. The DreamComfort Latex Hybrid gets 9 years. The DreamCloud Gel Hybrid gets 7 years. The DreamContour Gel and DreamScape Coils get 5 years. The DreamBoat Foam gets 1 year.

Covers, fabrics, quilting, borders and marine vinyl are excluded. Normal wear, comfort-preference changes, indentations and pillow-top compression void or exclude coverage. So do liquid, mold, stains, burns, tears, non-marine use and improper support or care. Only the original purchaser is covered, with proof of purchase. The brand doesn't publish full claim-shipping or proration terms (checked September 2026).

Comfort Boat Mattresses vs. other brands

Tempur-Pedic, Saatva and Purple lead the home bed-in-a-box market. Comfort Boat is a niche marine custom shop, not a comfort-technology competitor. Its edge is vessel templates, odd-shape cutting, hinge and fold options and moisture-oriented marine vinyl bottoms. It trails on published specs, trials and returns.

BoatBed, Mattress Insider's boat line and Handy Mattress are marine specialists. Comfort Boat's difference is its eight-model Dream lineup, its Florida factory and per-model warranties up to 15 years. We couldn't compare price, thickness or reviews head to head, since Comfort Boat publishes no prices or ratings (checked September 2026).

How we put this review together

We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.
