Bellanest Mattress Review

Bellanest is the private-label mattress brand of Northeast furniture chain Raymour and Flanigan. Corsicana Bedding makes it, and you can only buy it in Raymour and Flanigan showrooms, outlets and online. Six models are listed online, all on Instant Savings, from $269.10 to $599. They're coil hybrids plus one memory foam bed, with CertiPUR-US foam, made in the USA. You won't get a cash refund trial or a published Bellanest warranty. Swaps run through the paid Platinum Protection plan.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

If you're a back or stomach sleeper, Gemma Extra Firm is the firmest option. It sank only 0.8 in under a 44 lb load in third-party testing. It has the least shoulder cushioning, though.

Side sleepers should look at Gemma Medium Memory Foam. It's the only all-foam bed in the live line and has the deepest contour. For combination sleepers and couples, Gemma Plush or Gemma Plush Euro Top are soft at 12.5 to 14 in. The Euro Top is the cheapest way into the coil line at $469.

Willa Medium Euro Top is the most responsive but moves the most motion. Calla Extra Firm suits kids, teens, bunks and trundles. Hot sleepers should stick to the coil models, since the memory foam models ran warmest in testing. No model is adjustable in firmness.

Mattress prices and value

These are sale prices, not list prices. The line runs from $269.10 for the Calla Extra Firm Twin (was $299.00) and $296.10 for the Willa Twin (was $329.00). It tops out at $599.00 for the Gemma Extra Firm and Gemma Plush queen (both was $899.00). Gemma Medium Memory Foam is $435.00 (was $649.00), and the Gemma Plush Euro Top is $469.00 (was $699.00).

Every model carries an Instant Savings badge, so treat the sale price as the real price. The store matches competitor prices on identical products. You're buying a short spec sheet, with no foam densities, no coil gauge and no fire barrier details.

Financing runs through the store credit account, with no-interest plans up to 72 months on bedding purchases of $1,049 or more, in store only. Platinum Protection starts at $99.95 for five years. Outlet and clearance stock is cheaper but final sale.

What are the mattresses made of?

The coil models use individually wrapped or open coils. Gemma beds have 884 coils and Willa has 440. They sit under gel-infused foam or memory foam. The Gemma Plush Euro Top adds plush silhouette foam and zoned edge coils. Gemma Medium Memory Foam pairs gel memory foam with a memory foam core.

Every live listing says the comfort layers are CertiPUR-US certified and made in the USA. The brand doesn't publish foam densities, layer thicknesses, coil gauge, cover fiber, fire-barrier chemistry or fiberglass content (checked September 2026). There's no latex or organic model, and no mattress is flippable.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

Durability is the weakest area we could check. The brand doesn't publish durability testing, foam density or a sagging standard. You also won't find a written Bellanest warranty, so nothing says what counts as a defect.

In third-party testing, Gemma Extra Firm compressed only 0.8 in and had the firmest edge. Dahlia Medium compressed 1.3 in. Willa compressed 1.6 in, with the softest edge at 2.2 in. Imperial Memory Foam sank 1.9 in. The retailer's summary notes a few early soft spots, and a 2016 complaint reports one-sided sinking.

With 7 in and 8 in entry models, expect a shorter life than a 12 in national-brand bed. A proper frame and a mattress protector keep you inside both the protection plan and any manufacturer coverage.

Customer reviews and complaints

Product page ratings are healthy. Gemma Plush has 4.8 from 17 reviews. Willa Medium Euro Top has 4.7 from 43. Gemma Plush Euro Top has 4.6 from 102, and so does Gemma Medium Memory Foam. Gemma Extra Firm has 4.5 from 33, and Calla Extra Firm has 4.5 from 23. They're first-party reviews, and the store says some are incentivized.

The retailer's summary says customers like the range of feels, steady support, back-pain relief and sturdy edges. A few noted early soft spots or a firmness mismatch. Dweva scored Gemma Extra Firm 4.2, Dahlia Medium 4.1, Willa Medium Euro Top 3.9 and Imperial Memory Foam 3.8 out of 5.

Complaints mostly target the retailer. Sitejabber shows Raymour and Flanigan at 2.2 out of 5 from 61 reviews. One affiliate blog calls Bellanest a Mattress Firm brand at $199 queen with a 5-year warranty. That conflicts with every retailer source, so don't rely on it.

Where can you try and buy?

You can try it in Raymour and Flanigan showrooms across Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, most of Delaware, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Parts of Maryland, New Hampshire and Vermont are covered too. Outlets such as the Niagara Falls Outlet carry clearance stock. Call 1.866.383.4484 (option 2) to check stock.

Online, the brand catalog is on raymourflanigan.com. It showed only three of the six live models on September 22, 2026, so some Gemma sizes are effectively store or outlet buys. No other mattress retailer sells Bellanest. The domain bellanest.com is a parked for-sale page.

Delivery, setup and removal

Free next-day delivery, setup and old-mattress removal come with any mattress set of $500 or more ordered by 9 p.m. The crew places it in your room and won't move your furniture. Removal comes only with a new mattress and box spring set.

Timing depends on your zone. Seven-days-a-week delivery covers CT, NJ, NY, RI and most of DE, MA and PA. The extended-local zone takes 1 to 2 weeks for in-stock items. VA, NC, SC, GA and FL take 3 to 5 weeks. Pickup is free at any showroom.

Exchanges are swapped the same day. You pay a redelivery fee, which one guide reports at $99 to $199. The Platinum Protection plan makes you pay the original and replacement delivery fees.

Sleep trial and returns

You won't get a refund once an item is accepted. Mattresses are exchange-only. The 120-day Mattress Comfort Guarantee is the only trial, and you must buy the Platinum Protection Plan to get it. Sleep on the mattress at least 30 days, then you have up to 90 more days to reselect one mattress.

You get one reselection. The new mattress must cost the same or more, and you pay the difference plus tax and delivery fees. Law tags must be attached, and the bed must be clean. Adjustable bases, clearance items, pillows, protectors and frames are excluded. Outlet and floor-sample mattresses are final sale.

For items labelled Free Shipping, the general policy allows a return within 72 hours with a 15 percent restocking fee. Special orders forfeit a 20 percent deposit if changed after three days. One guide reports 30-day price protection.

Warranty

The brand doesn't publish a Bellanest warranty length or sagging standard (checked September 2026). No warranty document names Bellanest on the retailer's site. Get the manufacturer warranty card in writing at the store before you buy.

The retailer says it upholds manufacturer warranties. If a covered item can't be repaired, it replaces it with the same model. Matching pieces carry a usage fee of the greater of 20 percent of the invoice or 2 percent per month since delivery. You must accept a replacement within 10 days. Stains, tears and transit damage can void coverage.

Platinum Protection is a service contract, not a warranty. It lasts five years, covers accidents and stains, and supplies a protector you must use. It allows one stain-related replacement, and you pay delivery fees. Five-year protection starts at $99.95.

Bellanest vs. other brands

Inside the same store, Bellanest undercuts Sealy Essentials, Beautyrest, Serta, Nectar, Helix, Purple, King Koil, Aireloom, Avocado and Tempur-Pedic on price. It sits below the Sleep by Raymour and Flanigan house line. Those national brands publish longer trials and 10-year or longer warranties.

Against online brands like Nectar, Helix and Saatva, Bellanest loses on policy, not price. Those brands offer 100-night-plus trials and free returns. Testers call Nectar Classic the closer match to Imperial, Helix Midnight the alternative to Dahlia, and Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid a more developed system. Bellanest wins on showroom testing, free next-day delivery on $500+ sets and a store you can visit.

How we put this review together

We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.
