Airpedic Mattress Review
Airpedic is the adjustable-air division of Custom Comfort Mattress, handcrafted in America. Its nine air beds, from the 500 to the 1200, pair zoned medical-grade air chambers with gel foam. The flagships add latex, and a Bluetooth remote tunes your lumbar support. It's a good fit if you have back pain, or you're looking at Sleep Number and want multi-zone support and cooling. A 120-night trial backs it. You can't try one in a store, and you'll pay a prorated share on warranty claims after year 2.

What are the mattresses made of?
Covers are Kool-Flow micro-vented bamboo or bamboo stretch-knit. Layers include Hypergel and blue-gel infusion layers, gel-infused memory foam, HD Flex-Comfort latex-like foam and Resili-Flex firm support foam. Foams are CertiPUR-US certified. The 1100 and 1200 have natural ECO botanical latex quilted pillow-tops.
The air chambers are 100 percent medical-grade urethane, with 6 chambers and 3 zones per side. They have RF-welded seams and are antimicrobial and mold-resistant. A foam perimeter and I-beam center give support. A 4-port quiet pump comes with dual Bluetooth digital remotes. The patented Passive Airflow Transfer System (US Patent 7,334,280) is optional or built in on the upper models. The brand says it's USA handcrafted. It does not publish the factory city (checked September 2026).
How well do the mattresses hold up?
The 6-chamber zoned urethane air cores have welded seams and I-beam bracing. They're engineered so you don't get single-bladder hammock sag, and they don't let your spine drop out of alignment. The warranty states foam-compression coverage. One 5-year owner review of the 1000 cited lasting comfort.
The brand does not publish durability lab data, sag-depth test results, survival rates or foam-density figures (checked September 2026). Body impressions under 1.5 in are excluded from the warranty as normal. We found no long-term reliability data beyond the brand's own reviews.
Customer reviews and complaints
The site's Reviews page shows Google EXCELLENT based on 408 reviews, and Shop 4.84 stars from 64 ratings. Common praise covers comfort, personalized lumbar tuning, cooler sleep, simple setup and helpful staff. Some say it's better than Sleep Number for back pain. Examples include best bed and service experienced, most comfortable bed ever, and excellent at reducing back pain. The few critical notes are cut off. They mention a head and feet wish and 6-chamber confusion.
The brand does not publish independent BBB, Trustpilot, Yelp or mattress-press lab ratings (checked September 2026).

Warranty
The 20-year limited mattress and foundation warranty runs from original purchase. Years 1 to 2 are non-prorated. After that, your share is prorated, rising from 30 percent in year 3 to 65 percent in year 10, and 90 percent in years 15 to 20. The air pump has 10 years prorated after 2 years. Adjustable bases get 20 years per the FAQ, but the warranty page says the maker covers them.
It covers a serviceable cover, edge-tape stitching, foam crumbling or deforming, base breakage and rubber-core seam defects. That includes foam compression. It excludes impressions under 1.5 in, comfort preference, stains, misuse, non-approved support, wall-hugging base pairing, and transit or installer damage. It covers the original purchaser in the USA, excluding territories, and Canada. You need your receipt and must call (800) 875-1973. An examiner visit may be required. The full table is at airpedic.com/warranty-information.

You get a 120-night trial and a 20-year warranty with 2 years non-prorated. The brand's chart doesn't show rival trial and warranty numbers, so you can't compare them there.

We couldn't extract their scoring details, so you shouldn't treat them as more than brand claims. They aren't independent.
