Alaskan King Sleep Mattress Review

Alaskan King Sleep is an Arizona-made online brand from the 3Z and Brooklyn Bedding family. It sells one mattress: the Luxe Alaskan King, a 13-inch Medium hybrid in the 9-by-9-foot Alaskan King size. It's on sale at $5,000 ($6,000 SRP), with a 120-night trial and a limited lifetime warranty. It's best for co-sleeping families. The caveats are that you get one model, one size, and one firmness, and you can only buy online. You can't try it in a store.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

If you sleep on your side, the Medium feel is positioned for pressure relief. The quilted foam, gel memory foam, and Supreme Response layers cushion your curves. Back and stomach sleepers get a 13.5-gauge coil core plus firm transition foam, positioned for spinal alignment and deep support. Combination sleepers get responsive foams plus wrapped coils, positioned for ease of movement.

If you sleep hot, the GlacioTex cover, gel-infused foam, and breathable construction are positioned for cooling. For heavy sleepers and families, the oversized 8-in coil unit is positioned to resist sagging. All performance claims come from the brand. The brand doesn't publish independent comfort, cooling, or motion-isolation test data (checked September 2026). It offers no alternate firmness.

Mattress prices and value

The Luxe Alaskan King costs $5,000 on sale against a $6,000 suggested retail price in September 2026. It comes in one size only. The site advertised a Summer Sale with 35% off sitewide using code AK35, which may lower the price further at checkout. The frame costs $4,967.69. Pillows cost $119 single, or $232.05 for a 4-pack on sale.

This is ultra-premium pricing for a niche oversized (9 x 9 ft) made-to-order, US-built hybrid with GREENGUARD Gold and CertiPUR-US credentials. Value is hard to benchmark, because there's no like-for-like Alaskan King competitor grid. The brand offers only one firmness, with no budget or smaller-size option.

What are the mattresses made of?

Per the official product page, from top to bottom, the build is as follows. A GlacioTex cooling cover panel uses high-thermal-conductivity fibers, is cool-to-touch, and is hypoallergenic per the brand. Below it sit 1-in quilted foam and 1.5-in gel-swirl memory foam, which uses gel beads of phase-change material. Then come 1.5-in Supreme Response comfort foam (hyper-elastic) and 1-in firm Supreme Response comfort foam as the transition layer. The base is 8-in TitanCore individually wrapped 13.5-gauge steel coils. A fabric border secures the topper component, for a total of 13 in.

Firmness is Medium, printed on the topper per the setup guide. The bed is GREENGUARD Gold certified, fiberglass free, and made with CertiPUR-US-certified foam. It's designed and assembled in the USA, at the Arizona dream factory. The vendor tag reads 3Z, Glendale, AZ. It has no latex and no organic certifications (GOTS or GOLS). The brand doesn't publish foam densities or coil counts (checked September 2026).

How well do the mattresses hold up?

These claims come from the brand. Hybrid construction pairing foam with 13.5-gauge coils is positioned for maximum durability in an oversized bed. The FAQ says the coils prevent sagging even after years of family use.

The limited lifetime warranty covers visible indentations over 1 in. You must open the boxes within 30 days of delivery, or the trial and warranty are void. You need a proper foundation, and floor use voids the warranty. The brand doesn't publish independent durability, sag, or longevity testing (checked September 2026).

Customer reviews and complaints

The brand doesn't publish on-site ratings, review counts, or testimonial text as of September 2026. No review-app output or aggregate rating showed on the page. It also doesn't publish third-party ratings from Google, BBB, Sleep Foundation, or mattress review outlets.

The brand appears young. Shopify data shows the product was created in September 2024. It's also niche, so we couldn't establish complaint themes from evidence. We report no complaint pattern rather than invent one.

Where can you try and buy?

You can buy online only, at alaskankingsleep.com. The brand doesn't publish stores, dealers, or showrooms (checked September 2026). You can reach support by email or website chat, Monday to Friday 8AM to 5PM CST.

The About page says the beds are designed and assembled at the Arizona dream factory, like the rest of Brooklyn Bedding's premium beds. The warranty page and the vendor tag tie operations to Brooklyn Bedding and 3Z (Glendale, AZ). If you need a standard size, you can consider Brooklyn Bedding directly. There's no showroom, so confirm the single Medium feel before you order.

Delivery, setup and removal

Shipping is free by FedEx to the 48 contiguous US states. It's made to order, and the product page says it ships out in 10 to 14 business days. The mattress arrives in three boxes. Two hold core quadrant rolls at 92 lb each. One holds the topper plus shell at 95 lb. Each box is 15 x 15 x 59 in. They may arrive on different days. The trial starts on the last parcel's delivery date.

Two adults should assemble it. You place the quadrants in the shell border, align the topper Medium-side up, and zip on the top panel. Allow a few hours for it to expand. The brand doesn't publish white-glove setup or old-mattress removal (checked September 2026).

Sleep trial and returns

You get a 120-night at-home sleep trial on every mattress purchase. It starts on the final parcel's delivery day. You must keep the mattress for a 30-night break-in, so returns are only possible on Nights 31 to 120. You contact support to start a return. You leave the mattress unboxed for third-party-logistics pickup. The refund is processed after the company receives a pickup receipt copy. There are no returns after Night 120.

The official pages conflict on the fee as of September 2026. The Trial and FAQ pages state a $99 flat pickup and transportation fee deducted from the refund in some sections. The Trial page's return-request section states a $399 flat fee. Confirm the current fee in writing before you buy. The trial covers mattresses only. The bed frame and pillows have their own cancellation and return policies, which the brand doesn't publish.

Warranty

The limited lifetime warranty covers the original purchaser. It comes from a Brooklyn Bedding warranty document that expressly covers the Luxe Alaskan King mattress. Per the brand FAQ summary, a defective mattress is replaced free within 2 years of purchase. In years 3 to 10, it's repaired and re-covered, and you pay $99 each way for transportation. In years 11 to 25, replacement costs a prorated 50% of the original purchase price. After 25 years, the prorated charge is 60%.

It covers manufacturing defects and significant deterioration, defined as visible indentations over 1 in. It excludes normal wear, shallow body impressions, and comfort preference. You need a proper foundation, a platform of about 108 to 109 x 108 to 109 in. Floor use voids coverage. You must open the boxes within 30 days of delivery and keep the law labels intact. You claim through support with proof of purchase.

Alaskan King Sleep vs. other brands

Against Brooklyn Bedding, the sibling operator in the same Arizona factory, Brooklyn Bedding wins on model range, standard sizes, and established reviews. Alaskan King Sleep wins if you need a ready-made 108 x 108 in bed. Against standard-king hybrids from online brands, standard kings win on price, often under $2,000. They also win on firmness choice, free-return trials, and bedding availability. Alaskan King Sleep wins only on sheer surface, at 11,664 sq in, with room for four adults or kids plus pets, per the brand.

Against custom oversize mattress makers, custom shops win on size and firmness flexibility. Alaskan King Sleep wins on published cooling specs, certifications, and a standard trial plus lifetime warranty. Against Wyoming, Texas, and California king options, those win on bedding compatibility and lower cost. Alaskan King Sleep wins on maximum width and length combined.
