Siena Sleep Mattress Review

Siena Sleep (branded Siena by Resident) is a budget bed-in-a-box line with 8 models. You get an 8-inch Essential plus 10, 12 and 14-inch Signature beds in memory foam and hybrid builds. Twins start at about $99 to $179, and Split Kings reach near $858. The offer is led by a 180-night trial, a 10-year warranty and free shipping in the contiguous US. Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

The brand positions one medium-firm feel, its self-described sweet spot, for back, stomach, side and combination sleepers. Independent reads differ. Sleep Foundation scores the flagship 6 out of 10 Medium Firm. It rates it best for side sleepers of 130 to 230 lb and workable for lighter side sleepers. It calls it weak for back sleepers over 130 lb and poor for most stomach sleepers, with shortfalls growing with weight.

One Tom's Guide test found it about 8 out of 10 firm. That suits back and stomach sleepers but leaves side sleepers wanting cushion. If you weigh over about 230 lb, you'll get the least support, per Sleep Foundation. The brand doesn't publish clinical sleeper data. Use the 180-night trial to judge fit.

Mattress prices and value

These Queen book prices were observed in September 2026, and street promos rotate. The 8-inch Essential foam is $229 and the Essential 8-inch Hybrid is about $339. The Signature 10-inch foam is about $379 to $399 and the 10-inch Hybrid is about $389. The Signature 12-inch Hybrid is about $469, the 14-inch foam about $479 and the 14-inch Hybrid about $599.

Twins start at about $99 for the Essential foam, and a site tagline says mattresses start from $179. Kings go to about $699. Split Kings go to about $858 on the 14-inch models. Promos run deep, with a site banner reading SAVE UP TO 60%, plus a 30-Day Price Match Guarantee.

It's priced with Zinus-class value beds, but it offers a 180-night trial and 10-year warranty that most ultra-cheap rivals lack. It undercuts Casper, Purple and Tuft and Needle while trailing them on cooling tech and model breadth. Confirm the live price at checkout.

What are the mattresses made of?

Foam models have breathable covers over gel or contouring memory-foam comfort layers. A convoluted polyfoam transition adds pushback and airflow, and dense polyfoam support cores sit underneath. Sleep Foundation describes the 10-inch as about 2.5 in of gel foam plus 2 in of polyfoam over a 5.5 in base.

Hybrid models use the same foam comfort over coil support. The Signature hybrids use individually wrapped pocketed coils. The Essential 8-inch Hybrid uses interconnected coils. The brand claims CertiPUR-US certified foams and fiberglass-free construction across the line. Charcoal infusion is claimed on the Essential foam.

The brand doesn't publish foam densities, ILDs, coil counts or gauges, or certification IDs. It claims no latex.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

Durability evidence is mostly policy-based. You get a 10-year limited warranty covering visible indentations over 1.5 in. A replacement keeps the original term. Sleep Foundation gives the flagship a 5.5 out of 10 lifespan subscore and 6 out of 10 edge support. That signals average longevity expectations for the price tier.

We found no independent long-term durability testing (checked September 2026). Owner-reported multi-year sag rates aren't aggregated. Check Amazon and retailer reviews for long-term impressions.

Customer reviews and complaints

The brand site shows about 3,642 reviews on the flagship feature page and 240 on the Essential 8-inch page. Sleep Foundation gives 7.5 out of 10 overall. Its sub-scores are bounce control 7.5, pressure relief 7.5, edge 6, lifespan 5.5, heat 5 and repositioning 5. Amazon shows the Essential 8-inch Hybrid Full at 4.5 stars with about 1K ratings and 6-inch variants at 4.4 stars with 81 ratings.

Complaint themes are a feel firmer than the medium-firm claim, sleeping warm, average edge support and inadequate support for heavier sleepers. We haven't verified BBB and Trustpilot profiles (checked September 2026). The likely cause is a single-firmness lineup plus thin comfort layers for heavier or side-sleeping bodies.

Where can you try and buy?

You can buy direct at sienasleep.com, with phone support. The returns line is 1-855-913-1789 and the warranty line is 1-844-973-4717. It's also sold on Amazon and through authorized retailers named in the trial policy. We didn't capture the list. We found no brand stores or showrooms (checked September 2026), so your only try-before-you-buy is the home trial.

The site footer brands it Siena by Resident, part of the Resident Home family. The brand doesn't name sister brands on the pages we checked. Confirm current retail partners yourself.

Delivery, setup and removal

The bed ships in a box by FedEx or UPS Ground from US distribution centers, normally in 2 to 5 business days. Shipping is free in the contiguous US. It's $350 per large item to Alaska and Hawaii, per the brand FAQ. Setup is self-serve. Unbox, unroll and let it expand. A 1 to 2 business day ship window is shown at checkout.

The brand doesn't publish white-glove delivery, threshold options or old-mattress removal (checked September 2026). Use a proper matching foundation, frame or adjustable base to protect your warranty coverage.

Sleep trial and returns

You get a 180-night home trial from delivery. You can return an opened mattress no earlier than 30 days and no later than 180 days. You can return an unopened mattress immediately. A mattress still unopened after 90 days counts as misused and isn't eligible. Returns are free, with donation-partner pickup arranged by Siena. The mattress must be sanitary with no rips or stains, and the partner may refuse ineligible units. Returned units are donated.

Alaska and Hawaii delivery surcharges are non-refundable. Furniture has a 60-night trial and bedding has a 30-night trial. We found no comfort-exchange or swap program, so your remedy is return and refund. Keep proof of purchase, and don't remove the cover.

Warranty

You get a 10-year limited mattress warranty (policy effective August 11, 2026). It's for the original purchaser only, non-transferable, and valid in the contiguous US plus Alaska and Hawaii. It covers manufacturing defects, including visible indentation over 1.5 in not caused by an improper foundation. It requires continuous support on a matching foundation or adjustable base with a proper frame.

It excludes comfort preference, normal wear, stains and damage. Per the FAQ, removing the cover voids coverage. The remedy is repair or replacement at Siena's option, and a replacement keeps the original term. File claims by email or at 1-844-973-4717 with your receipt. Furniture carries 2 years and bedding 1 year under separate policies.

Siena Sleep vs. other brands

Against Zinus, a price peer, Siena competes with a longer trial and a clearer 10-year warranty at similar street prices. Against Casper, Purple and Tuft and Needle, which Siena itself runs compare pages against, Siena wins on price and trial length. It trails on cooling materials, zoned or responsive builds and review depth.

Against Nectar and DreamCloud, from the same Resident Home family, it follows a similar value-trial playbook, with Siena positioned cheaper and simpler. We didn't compile a model-to-model comparison. There's no natural-material or premium story to compare against organic or luxury tiers.
