Blu Sleep Mattress Review

Blu Sleep Products, founded in 2006, is a Florida-based specialty sleep brand best known for Italian-made pillows. It does sell mattresses, though. There are six Vitality models from $2,200 to $4,900 USD. They use copper-infused foam, natural latex and pocket coils or AirPod HD cores. They're made in Canada and sold mainly direct, with a 90-night trial. You'll pay premium prices and buy without trying one first. Its reputation rests mainly on pillows, not mattresses.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

Side sleepers and pressure-point sufferers should look at the 14-inch Lux Plush or Summit Pillowtop Lux Plush. Back and stomach sleepers who want firm support can choose Summit Pillowtop Lux Firm or the 14-inch Lux Firm. Couples and restless partners can look at the pocket-coil Summit and Flex Hybrid models, or any AirPod-core model. The brand credits those with low motion transfer.

If you sleep hot, VisCopper and CoolTouch cooling layers appear across the line. If you're watching your budget, look at Balance or Flex Hybrid. All six models work with adjustable bases. The brand doesn't publish an official firmness scale, weight limits or sleeper-weight guidance. So you'll need to match by model name and firmness label only.

What are the mattresses made of?

You'll find CoolTouch quilted fabric or a CoolTouch double-layer pillowtop with SuperSoft Gel. Vitality VisCopper is copper-infused memory foam. The brand claims it's cooling, antimicrobial, moisture-wicking and EMF-attenuating. There's also Natural CopperGel Latex and HD Firm or HD Plush transition foam. Support comes from an 8-inch BLU AirPod HD Core or from 1,200-zone foam-encased pocket coils. The coils have 7-zone ergonomic support and airflow through the full coil layer. The mattresses are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certified, roll-packed and Made in Canada, per the product pages.

Site-wide technology pages also claim water-expanded foam, essential-oil infusions and open-cell ventilation. The FAQ states products are designed in America and produced in Italy. We found no fiberglass or chemical fire barrier claims. The brand doesn't publish exact cover fiber content or full material specs.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

We found no independent long-term durability testing of the Vitality mattresses (September 2026). The brand points to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certification, HD cores, 1,200-zone pocket coils and antimicrobial VisCopper freshness. A 2018 BedTimes article said the company reported returns under 1 percent.

Warranty signals conflict. The FAQ and the site's AI summary state a 10-year limited warranty on mattresses, protectors and covers. The refund policy cites a 15-year limited warranty for manufacturing defects after night 90. The warranty page at myblusleep.com/pages/warranty didn't load when we checked. The brand doesn't publish a rotation schedule, sag-depth standard or care instructions.

Customer reviews and complaints

The site-wide rating is 4.64 out of 5 from 186 ratings, with 79 verified reviews. The site's AI summary page says 4.70 out of 5 from 170 verified reviews. Mattress-page reviews are thin. Balance shows four 5-star reviews from Laval, Quebec buyers. They praise support, comfort, less heat retention and low motion transfer. Summit, Elevate and Flex Hybrid pages show zero reviews.

Trustpilot shows 3.6 out of 5 from 131 reviews. Praise covers comfortable, supportive pillows and better sleep. Complaints include formula changes, firmer texture, unexpected scents and delivery delays. Others mention a strict no-return policy on pillows, poor customer service, an undelivered order and a wrong pillow shipped. BBB lists Blu Sleep Products, LLC with an A+ rating, not accredited, and no complaints shown. SmartCustomer and SiteJabber show 0 reviews. We found no expert mattress reviews or mattress-specific complaint clusters.

Where can you try and buy?

You can mainly buy direct at myblusleep.com for the US and Canada, with USD or CAD pricing. Blu Sleep also wholesales through bedding specialty shops, independent furniture stores, larger retailers and online merchants. It claims distribution centers in Canada and the US, drop-ship programs, 48-hour quick ship and next-day shipping. Retail partners aren't named, and no store locator is published.

Sleep Country Canada lists the Blu Sleep Aquagel Side Pillow at CAD $229. But we found no Blu Sleep mattresses at Sleep Country Canada, Amazon, Amazon.ca, Costco, Wayfair or Mattress Firm. We found no branded consumer showrooms. Historically the brand showed at Las Vegas Market, which is trade only. Contact offices are in Boca Raton, Florida and Laval, Quebec.

Delivery, setup and removal

Mattresses ship roll-packed and compressed. The FAQ says to allow about one to two days after opening for the mattress to regain shape. Covers may shift and can be repositioned. Standard shipping is free on US orders over $50. The brand doesn't publish mattress-specific shipping fees, transit times or delivery regions.

We found no white-glove delivery, in-home setup or old-mattress removal program. The refund policy says the company doesn't offer pickup at this time. It asks you to donate the mattress locally (recommended) or arrange and pay for return shipping yourself.

Sleep trial and returns

You get a 90-night sleep trial with a required 30-night break-in. Nights 1 to 30 are break-in. In nights 31 to 90 you may request a return or an exchange. After night 90 the trial ends, and the mattress stays under the limited warranty. Exchanges to a different model or firmness are free. Refunds deduct a $99 return processing fee. They're issued to your original payment method within 7 to 10 business days after the mattress is returned, donated or otherwise processed.

It's one trial per household or shipping address. The trial begins on your purchase date, not your delivery date. The mattress must be clean, with original packaging and law tag intact. Stained, soiled or damaged mattresses won't be accepted. Donating locally to a registered charity with a receipt waives the need to coordinate return shipping. Pillows bought online aren't returnable unless defective, with photo evidence. Retailer purchases follow the retailer's policy.

Warranty

The limited warranty covers manufacturing defects. The FAQ and the site's AI summary state 10 years for mattresses, protectors and covers. Most pillows get 5 years, most pillow covers get 3 years, and Ceramo, Ceramo Surround, Air Memory and Air Memory Surround products get 1 year. The refund policy, however, references a 15-year limited warranty on mattresses after the 90-night trial.

The warranty page at myblusleep.com/pages/warranty didn't load in September 2026. So we couldn't confirm the exact mattress term. Get help through the site's Help widget or info@myblusleep.com. Retailer purchases follow the retailer's warranty process. The brand doesn't publish a prorated schedule, sag tolerance or shipping-cost terms for claims.

Blu Sleep vs. other brands

Blu Sleep plays in the premium specialty-foam tier against Tempur-Pedic, Sealy, Serta and direct-to-consumer cooling brands. At $2,200 to $4,900, it sits above most direct-to-consumer pricing. Its comparison page claims advantages over most other brands. Those include Italian-made foam with essential oils and water-expanded foam. They also include open-cell ventilation (claimed 300x to 3,000x more breathable than conventional memory foam) and a washable cooling cover. It also claims non-temperature-sensitive foam, no foul odor, Oeko-Tex certification and Canadian-made mattresses versus competitors' Chinese manufacturing.

Against direct-to-consumer rivals, it charges a $99 return fee. It offers no white-glove delivery or old-mattress removal. It publishes no firmness scale or sleeper-weight guidance. It also has very few independent mattress reviews or lab tests. Most third-party coverage is about pillows, and Trustpilot sentiment (3.6 out of 5) is mixed.

How we put this review together

We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.
