Bedmasters Mattress Review

Bedmasters is a factory-direct mattress maker in Port Charlotte, Florida. It was founded in 1994 and has run from one factory showroom for about 32 years. It builds gel memory foam (including Genesis Gel and Harmony 8610 Gel), two-sided innerspring, two-sided latex, and custom RV, boat and antique-bed mattresses. The brand doesn't publish prices, a sleep trial or warranty terms. You get quotes through a contact form. It's best for Southwest Florida shoppers who want locally built custom sizes. The big caveat is that almost nothing else is published online.

If you sleep hot, the gel lineup (Genesis Gel, Harmony 8610 Gel) is the brand's stated pick for temperature control, per the Gel page. If you sleep on your side, gel memory foam is positioned for pressure relief at your shoulders and hips. Couples are told it minimizes motion transfer.

Back and stomach sleepers can look at the innerspring line, which is positioned for support and easy movement. If you have back pain, the brand cites customers reporting fewer back issues, but it publishes no ergonomic evidence. The brand doesn't publish guidance for heavy, light or strict-firmness sleepers (checked September 2026), so in-store testing is your only route.

The brand doesn't publish mattress prices on bedmasters.com. The contact page asks you to request a quote and include a zip code for shipping. So all pricing is quote-based as of September 2026.

The value pitch is factory-direct savings. There's no middleman, no commissioned sales staff and one small factory showroom. The brand claims higher-quality components at a lower price. We can't verify value against rivals without published prices. Compare written quotes against comparable gel, latex and two-sided innerspring options before you buy.

Gel mattresses use memory foam infused with cooling gel in beads, swirls or layered sections. The gel helps with temperature regulation, pressure relief and motion isolation. They work with adjustable bases, per the brand. Innerspring models use American-steel pocketed coils in traditional two-sided builds.

Latex models have a full 6-inch American-made latex core. It's topped with more latex or high-density cooling gel-infused memory foam, and finished with a Tack and Jump quilt. RV and boat builds use memory foam, latex, hybrid, high-density foam and marine-grade breathable and anti-microbial options. The brand doesn't publish certifications such as CertiPUR-US, GOTS, GOLS or OEKO-TEX. It also doesn't publish layer thicknesses, foam densities, coil counts or cover details (checked September 2026).

The durability pitch centers on two-sided construction. The brand claims flippable innerspring and latex mattresses outlast one-sided products "many times over." It cites customers returning after 10, 15, even 20 years. It says their sets "still look as good as the day we installed them." That's brand-reported and not independently verified. It also claims a per-mattress quality check from raw goods to delivery, and non-commissioned staff build the beds.

The brand doesn't publish warranty length, sag-depth thresholds or exclusions (checked September 2026). It also doesn't publish independent durability testing.

The homepage shows four five-star testimonials. Ron Schivinski praises overall quality and service. Susan Hamen says a custom RV mattress improved her sleep. Robert Lieber says his back issues resolved. Caron Prins praises a boat mattress fit and the service. The site shows no aggregate rating, review count or per-model reviews.

We found no third-party ratings from Google, Yelp, BBB, Sleep Foundation or RTINGS (checked September 2026). We also found no complaint themes or return or warranty dispute patterns. The business seems to trade on local word-of-mouth, not on review volume. Ask for references, and put trial, return and warranty terms in writing.

You can try and buy only through the single factory showroom at 4105 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. Call (941) 766-9122 or email sales@bedmasters.com. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm, and it's closed Saturday and Sunday.

We found no online cart or direct checkout. Price and shipping quotes go through the contact form with a zip code. Major credit cards are accepted, and layaway is available. We found no other dealers, showrooms, retailers or sibling brands (checked September 2026).

Local delivery is implied, since each mattress is quality-checked before delivery. The brand doesn't publish a delivery area, speed, cost, setup or old-mattress removal terms. Shipping outside the local area is handled by individual quotes that need your zip code.

The brand doesn't publish white-glove service, threshold versus room-of-choice delivery, or packaging and bed-in-a-box details (checked September 2026). It mentions adjustable-base compatibility, since the store sells Leggett & Platt adjustable bases. It doesn't publish base dimensions or prices.

The brand doesn't publish a sleep trial length, return window, exchange mechanics, restocking fees or return-shipping fees (checked September 2026). The site has no trial, returns or exchanges policy text.

Request written trial and return terms before you pay. That matters most for custom-size RV, boat and antique builds, which are typically non-returnable industry-wide.

The brand doesn't publish warranty length, coverage, sag-depth thresholds, exclusions or the claim process (checked September 2026). No warranty page or warranty text appears on the homepage or on the Gel, Innerspring, Latex, RV, Boat, About, Factory Direct or Contact pages.

Get written warranty terms before you buy. Ask about length, prorated versus non-prorated coverage, foundation requirements and law-tag registration. Keep your original receipt and law tags.

Against national gel memory foam brands like Nectar, Casper and Tempur-Pedic, Bedmasters wins on local custom sizing and factory access. It loses on published specs, prices, trials and warranties. Against two-sided specialists and Amish builders, the flippable innerspring and latex story is similar. Rivals often publish full specs and 10-plus-year warranties.

Against latex leaders like Savvy Rest and PlushBeds, Bedmasters claims a full 6-inch American latex core at factory-direct pricing. It publishes no certifications or prices to verify that. Against RV and marine specialists like Tochta and custom shops, the custom-fit positioning is comparable, with marine-ready options. You get quote-only pricing and no published reviews.

We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.
