Evergreen Sleep Mattress Review

Evergreen Sleep is a Toronto maker of organic latex mattresses. It sells two 10-inch all-latex models (Firm and Plush, CAD 2,899 to 5,299) and two 10-inch ecoRest latex-blend models (foam core and pocket coil, CAD 799 to 1,499). You get a 15-year prorated warranty and free shipping across Canada and the continental US. It's a good fit if you want Canadian-made latex and fewer chemicals. The big catch is the written policy. It accepts only unopened returns within 14 days, even though product pages show 100-night badges.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

Side sleepers should look at the 100 Plush for the softest pressure relief. Back sleepers can choose the 100 Firm (7.5/10 luxury firm) or the ecoRest pocket coil (6.5/10 medium-firm). The brand points stomach sleepers to the 100 Firm or the ecoRest coil, not the Plush.

The FAQ states a 600-lb maximum combined weight. The brand says its adult designs also suit growing children. It says latex and coil models cut motion transfer, and the coil adds airflow for hot sleepers. The brand doesn't publish independent sleeper testing (checked September 2026).

Mattress prices and value

Prices are in Canadian dollars. The brand doesn't publish a separate USD list (checked September 2026). The 100 line costs $2,899 (Single/Twin), $3,299 (Twin XL), $3,899 (Full), $3,999 (Queen) and $5,299 (King and Cali King). Firm and Plush cost the same. The ecoRest line costs $799, $999, $1,099, $1,199 and $1,499 in the same sizes.

Sale and compare-at figures on the site look inconsistent, so trust the variant list prices. ecoRest undercuts most organic latex rivals. The 100 line is premium-priced, but the brand argues comparable latex costs double or triple elsewhere. The FAQ says there's no financing and no gift cards. The brand doesn't publish a sales schedule.

What are the mattresses made of?

The 100 line uses layered 100% natural organic latex: a 1-inch comfort layer, 2.5-inch zoned support latex and a 6-inch zoned core. It sits under an organic Joma wool cover with a non-skid bottom. The brand claims the latex is free of pesticides, flame retardants and petroleum, with zoned lumbar support in the center third.

The ecoRest coil has 1 inch of organic latex, 1 inch of cool-gel visco memory foam and 1 inch of high-resilience bio foam. Below sit 7 inches of high-loft pocket coils with soy-content bio-foam encasement. A fire-retardant sock sits under the cover, per US rules.

The product pages claim CertiPUR-US, Eco Institut, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and GOLS. We found no certificate numbers or scans, so treat these as brand claims. There's no GOTS claim. The brand doesn't publish the latex process, ILDs, coil gauge, foam densities or fabric weights.

How well do the mattresses hold up?

The brand calls its latex extremely durable and sag-resistant. The warranty has a 1.5-inch sag threshold. Mattresses are made to order in Toronto and pass an 18-point inspection. The FAQ advises rotating head to toe every 2 to 3 months, and it allows up to 6 months compressed.

We found no independent durability testing and no long-term owner data beyond the brand's own reviews. All-latex cores usually hold up well. The ecoRest gel foam and bio foam layers are the likelier wear points. The warranty excludes normal softening of comfort layers and impressions under 1.5 inches.

Customer reviews and complaints

Product pages show a 100-night trial badge, a 15-year warranty and free express delivery. They quote over 5,000 5-star reviews. The reviews page claims 97% satisfaction, 97% better sleep comfort, 94% morning energy, 86% muscle recovery and 82% falling or staying asleep. Review text comes through a Reviews.io widget we couldn't tally independently.

We found no Google, BBB, Trustpilot, Sleep Foundation or RTINGS ratings (checked September 2026). The likeliest source of disputes is the gap between the 100-night badge and the 14-day written return policy. Shipping costs on returns are also stated. We found no pattern of product defects.

Where can you try and buy?

You can buy direct at evergreensleep.com. The FAQ says it's online only, plus unnamed authorized dealers. eBay and Amazon aren't authorized. Showrooms are all in Ontario: Markham (7701 Woodbine Avenue Unit 5, 905-963-0890), Etobicoke (33 Belvia Road, 905-565-0885) and Mississauga (6620 Kitimat Road Unit 3, 905-878-8444). Hours are Mon to Fri 10am to 8pm, Sat 11am to 6pm and Sun 12pm to 5pm.

Phone is 1-437-523-5520 and email is hello@evergreensleep.com. The head office is 130 King Street West Suite 1800, Toronto. The brand lists no US showrooms or US retail partners, so US buyers order sight unseen.

Delivery, setup and removal

Shipping is free to all Canadian provinces and most of the continental US. Alaska and Hawaii are excluded. Made-to-order mattresses ship compressed in about 3 to 10 business days. They can stay boxed up to 6 months. A signature is required unless you waive it in the order comments.

You set the bed up yourself. The brand doesn't publish white-glove setup or old-mattress removal (checked September 2026). The base should be a solid box spring, platform bed or slats. For warranty coverage it needs center support to the floor, or at least 12 cross slats with center support.

Sleep trial and returns

Product pages show a 100-night trial. The written return policy says otherwise. It accepts returns only on unopened product within 14 days of delivery, with an RA number from email. Exchanges apply only to damaged, unopened product reported within 24 hours. Once a mattress is opened, the 15-year warranty applies instead of a return.

The mattress must be sealed in original packaging. Each customer can return 1 mattress. Refunds go to your original payment method within 2 to 5 business days after inspection. Shipping is non-refundable and return shipping is yours. The brand doesn't publish a restocking fee. Defective units are exchanged free. Confirm the real terms in writing before you buy.

Warranty

The 15-year limited warranty is prorated on the purchase price and starts on the purchase date. The maker chooses repair or replacement. It covers defects in workmanship and materials, but not covers or fabrics. It covers sagging or impressions of 1.5 inches or more, only on a proper base with center support or at least 12 cross slats.

Exclusions include transport costs, comfort preference, impressions under 1.5 inches, soiling, burns, misuse, a bad foundation, and floor-sample or second-hand beds. Email warranty@evergreensleep.com with your original law tags and proof of purchase. Only the original purchaser can claim. Implied warranties are capped at 15 years.

Evergreen Sleep vs. other brands

Avocado Green has GOTS certification, a 1-year trial and a 25-year warranty. Evergreen wins on entry price and its Toronto-area showrooms. It loses on trial length and certification proof. Saatva wins on white-glove delivery and US showrooms. Evergreen offers pure latex at lower starting prices in Canada.

Naturepedic wins on GOTS and GOLS certified range and kids' lines. Evergreen wins on price. Silk and Snow has a clearer Canadian return story. Evergreen makes its beds in-house in Toronto and lets you try them there. Its gaps are the contradictory trial wording and thin outside verification.

How we put this review together

We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.

Quick answers before you buy

Does Evergreen Sleep ship to the US?

Yes. Shipping is free across Canada and the continental US, except Alaska and Hawaii.

Defects, including sagging or impressions of 1.5 inches or more on a proper base. It's prorated. It excludes covers, comfort preference, stains and impressions under 1.5 inches.

Are the mattresses certified organic?

The brand claims GOLS latex plus CertiPUR-US, Eco Institut and Oeko-Tex Standard 100. It doesn't publish certificate numbers or scans, and it makes no GOTS claim.

Where can I try one in person?

At three Greater Toronto showrooms: Markham, Etobicoke and Mississauga. There are no US locations, so US buyers order online.
