OMI Mattress Review

OMI Organicpedic calls itself America's foremost organic sleep brand since 2003. It hand-makes 10 certified-organic, made-to-order mattresses in Colorado from organic latex, wool, cotton and pocketed coils. The GOTS-labeled lineup runs from firm all-latex to plush hybrids at luxury prices. A 90-day guarantee and a 20-year warranty back them. It suits you if you're chemical-conscious and willing to pay for it. You won't find customer reviews on the site.

Checked September 2026 against the brand's own pages and public listings. We haven't sleep-tested these mattresses, so treat this as a buyer's summary of what the brand publishes.

Which mattress suits your sleep needs?

If you're a back or stomach sleeper who wants thin, firm latex support, look at the Firm Midori. Side and combination sleepers who want balanced contour can look at the Medium all-latex Palera and Terra. The Pinnacle Plush, a 13.5 in pillow top, suits side sleepers who want pressure relief.

Couples and combination sleepers who want coil bounce with less motion can look at the Medium-Firm Clara and Lago hybrids. The customizable, zippered Rossa suits couples with split needs. The Traditional innerspring is for latex-avoiders, though its specs are limited. Stella's details aren't published, so ask OMI.

Mattress prices and value

Listed prices are Midori $3,199, Rossa $3,599, Clara Nouveau $3,799, Palera $4,199, Lago Nouveau $5,995, Terra $6,895 and Pinnacle $7,495. That's a range of $3,199 to $7,495. Accessories run from $189 to $599. A 0% APR offer through ShopPay is noted. Sizes run Twin to Cal King, but per-size prices aren't published (checked September 2026).

This is luxury made-to-order pricing. The value is certified-organic materials and handmade USA durability, not a budget bed.

What are the mattresses made of?

OMI uses organic latex, organic wool, organic cotton fabrics and pocketed coil units. The beds add sculpted comfort layers, Nouveau cushion quilting, fully quilted covers and floating pillow tops. The Rossa has a zippered, adjustable cover with individual latex layers. Some beds have dual-comfort systems and plush pillow tops.

The beds are made in the USA of domestic and imported materials. Clean them by spot cleaning only. Layer percentages aren't published (checked September 2026).

How well do the mattresses hold up?

The maker calls its 10 current designs long-running favorites after 20-plus years and 50-plus designs. On the Lago page it cites the best durability, fewest warranty claims and fewest comfort exchanges. It offers a 20-year warranty. The two-sided, flippable models (Midori, Palera, Pinnacle and Terra) extend life.

Care is spot cleaning only, with an adequate base. Independent long-term sag data isn't published (checked September 2026).

Customer reviews and complaints

OMI states that it doesn't collect customer reviews directly, and it points you to lifekind.com. We saw no on-site ratings, pros and cons, or complaint text. We found no third-party rating counts and no recurring complaints about price, firmness or durability in the sources we checked (checked September 2026).

Check retailers and LifeKind for commentary before you buy.

Where can you try and buy?

You can buy direct online at omimattress.com, which has a cart and checkout. Locations and Contact Us links suggest retail and showroom presence, but addresses weren't published in the excerpts we saw (checked September 2026).

LifeKind.com is referenced for commentary on items OMI builds. Bedding accessories such as sheets, protectors, pillows and comforters are sold on the site.

Delivery, setup and removal

Shipping is free. Mattresses and foundations ship free to your door. Beds are custom made to order in the USA in about 14 to 21 business days. A footnote says factory time can exceed 30 days.

Upgraded inside placement is offered, and most buyers pick Room of Choice with Setup. Old-mattress removal terms aren't published (checked September 2026).

Sleep trial and returns

OMI offers a 90-Day Comfort Guarantee with a Comfort Accommodation Policy. Limited Warranty support is also noted. Return and exchange steps, fees and refund timing weren't published in the excerpts we saw (checked September 2026).

The guarantee calls for an adequate base, and the brand recommends its own base. Check the Refund Policy and Comfort Accommodation Policy before you buy.

Warranty

A 20-Year Warranty, or Limited Warranty, is listed on product pages. Coverage details, sag depth, exclusions and the claim process weren't published in the excerpts we saw (checked September 2026).

See the Limited Warranty and Warranty Support pages. An adequate support and base is required.

OMI vs. other brands

Against mainstream hybrids, OMI is certified-organic luxury, handmade and made to order at $3,000 to $7,000 with GOTS labeling. It's not bed-in-a-box value. Against organic peers like Avocado, Naturepedic, PlushBeds and Savvy Rest, OMI stresses its 2003 heritage as the first US certified-organic sleep label. It also stresses its Colorado hand-build, its 10-model range of all-latex, hybrid and latex-free beds, and its 90-day plus 20-year terms.

But it publishes fewer material percentages and no on-site reviews. Detailed head-to-head specs aren't published (checked September 2026).

How we put this review together

We read the brand's own product, policy and warranty pages, then checked retailer listings and public complaint sites like the Better Business Bureau. We last checked everything here in September 2026. Prices and policies change, so confirm them on the seller's page before you buy. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.
