The 30-second verdict

Yes, the Nectar Premier Memory Foam Mattress is a reasonable choice for most buyers. The catch is mixed firmness feedback: Sleep Foundation rated it Medium Firm (6), Mattress Clarity gave it 6/10, Sleepopolis gave it 5.5/10, and GoodBed rated it Firm (3). Back sleepers over 130 lb may still get support but sink more. For buyers who value Sleep Foundation's score, Saatva Loom & Leaf scored 9.1/10 versus the Premier's 8.8/10. At Queen list prices, Loom & Leaf is $3,179 and the Premier is $999. Buy it only if you want a lower-priced foam option and are comfortable with varied firmness readings.

Pros
  • Long trial. Nectar offers 365 nights to try it, with a $0 return fee if it is not a fit.
  • Motion isolation. Sleep Foundation scored motion isolation 9.0/10, which may suit couples who want less partner movement.
  • Lumbar contouring. Mattress Clarity's tester described lumbar contouring on her back without hip sinkage that can cause pain.
Cons
  • Edge support. Sleep Foundation gave it 7.5/10 and noted sag under weight, which may make getting in or out harder.
  • Shoulder pressure. Want Mattress says several side sleepers found the shoulder feel too hard.
  • Heat rise. Tom's Guide recorded a maximum temperature increase of 8.1°F within the first two minutes, a caution if you sleep hot.

Is the Nectar Premier Memory Foam right for your sleep position and body weight?

The Nectar Premier Memory Foam can suit side, back, and stomach sleepers, but fit changes with body weight.

  • Side: Excellent support applies across all weight groups.
  • Back: Memory foam contouring and polyfoam support help align the spine and cushion the lower back. Sleep Foundation says most back sleepers over 130 pounds still find plenty of support, though they sink more.
  • Stomach: Foam layers cushion the upper body and help prevent deep sinking. Sleepers over 230 pounds may prefer a firmer bed.

For sleepers over 230 pounds, Sleep Foundation's fit scores are 9.0 for side, 6.5 for back, and 6.0 for stomach. Sleep Foundation gave edge support 7.5/10. The mattress sags a bit along the edges under weight, which may make getting in or out harder.

Is the Nectar Premier Memory Foam good for back pain?

The Nectar Premier Memory Foam may suit some people with back pain, but pain relief is not assured. Nectar says the American Chiropractic Association endorsed the mattress to relieve back pain. Sleep Foundation says it might fit people with back pain. Mattress Clarity tester Melanie said foam shaped to her lower back while she lay on her back. She reported no hip sinking of the kind that can cause pain. Tom's Guide's tester says it may be too soft for stomach sleeping and could cause lower-back pain. Stomach sleepers should heed that warning.

How cool or hot does it sleep?

The short tests show surface warming, but do not establish whether the mattress sleeps warm or neutral overnight. Nectar says its soft fabric cover has cooling fibers and its design improves airflow for breathability. Tom's Guide measured a maximum temperature increase of 8.1°F within the first two minutes. Naplab recorded 76.1°F at baseline, 88.6°F maximum, and 80.7°F ending. Sleepopolis recorded 68.6 degrees initially and 73.9 degrees after 5 minutes, an increase of 5.3 degrees. Mattress Clarity recorded 64°F before and 68.4°F after 7 minutes, an increase of 4.4°F.

Will you feel your partner move?

You may feel your partner move: outside results vary. Mattress Clarity rated motion isolation 4.3/5, with moderate bounce, 3/5, and a bounce height of 13 inches. RTINGS.com scored motion isolation 8.8, bounciness 7.2, and maximum rebound height of 14.0 cm (5.5 inches).

Tom's Guide rated motion isolation 4 out of 5, recorded initial impact of 7.961 m/s2, and found motion stopped in an average of 2.5 seconds. Sleep Foundation rated motion isolation 9.0/10. For a light sleeper beside a restless partner, movement could still wake you; these readings do not promise a quiet night.

How is it built?

The Nectar Premier Memory Foam has a fabric cover on top and bottom, with foam layers between. Nectar lists the layers in this order:

  • Cooling Top Cover, soft fabric.
  • Pressure-Relief Layer, 2 inches of memory foam for pressure relief.
  • Responsive Support Foam, 3 inches.

Materials and certifications

Nectar says the cover is soft fabric with cooling fibers and antimicrobial treatment. Nectar says its flexible polyurethane foam is CertiPUR-US certified. The certification covers that foam in this mattress, not the cover or the whole bed. CertiPUR-US also covers flexible polyurethane foam in pillows, sleep-related products, and upholstered furniture.

Does the Nectar Premier Memory Foam have fiberglass?

Nectar says the Premier Memory Foam is 100% fiberglass-free. It also says the mattress is certified by CertiPUR-US® to meet standards for content, emissions, and durability. To check the materials, read the law tag on the exact mattress you plan to buy. The tag lists that mattress’s materials, so use it to check the specific bed you are considering.

How long will it last, and does it need flipping or rotating?

Sleepopolis says it is reasonable to expect the Premier to last at least 7 to 10 years, with visible signs of use likely toward the end. Treat that as a planning estimate, not a guarantee. RTINGS.com gives it a 5.7 longevity score, a rating rather than a lifespan in years. Use the years estimate to judge whether this mattress fits how long you need it to serve.

Delivery, setup and old mattress removal

The brand ships this mattress boxed to your door by FedEx or UPS Ground. Allow 1 to 2 days to ship, then about 2 to 5 business days for delivery, so plan your mattress changeover around that wait.

Setup is not included. The brand’s $199 White Glove service covers setup for up to two items and old mattress removal; state recycling fees apply in CA, RI and CT.

Trials, returns and fees

Nectar says the trial lasts 365 nights, and its return processing fee is $0. The brand says the refund excludes shipping, White Glove, state recycling fees, and offer-code discounts, so the $0 fee does not mean every amount you paid comes back. Check those deductions before deciding whether to return the mattress.

What does the warranty cover, and what voids it?

Nectar's warranty has no end year and covers sag over 1.5 in. Only original purchasers are covered; resale ends coverage. An improper foundation or box spring, or cover removal, voids coverage; use firm, solid support. Normal softening isn't a defect; sag from an improper base isn't covered.

Use the return request process. Nectar may repair and re-cover or replace; replacement keeps original warranty dates. Year 10 overlaps both terms: no-charge replacement and later repair-or-replace with $50 transport each way. Confirm with Nectar which applies to a year-10 claim. Nectar's defect confirmation waives transport; terms set no owner share of the price.

What do owners like and complain about?

Owners do not all describe the same experience, so weigh the rating alongside the complaints. Nectar's site lists a 4.5 score from 10,914 reviews, a large set of posted owner feedback, not a promise of your own fit.

On Nectar's site, owners praise comfort and support, and some say the bed improved their sleep. This helps you see what owners like, but cannot predict your own feel.

Want Mattress describes owner feedback as split: several side sleepers found the shoulder feel too hard, and some report sore shoulders and hips. Tom's Guide reports comfort praise alongside complaints that support falls short. Side sleepers should treat shoulder pressure as a key fit risk.

How we research and report

We read the maker's own pages, outside testers and owner reviews, and we date every fact. We do not test beds ourselves. Every source we used is listed below with the day we checked it.
