The 30-second verdict

Yes, for most buyers, the Nectar Luxe Memory Foam Mattress is worth considering if you want medium-feel foam. The catch is fit: Sleep Foundation found it too plush for back sleepers over 230 pounds. If budget matters more, the Siena 10-inch Signature Memory Foam Mattress is a better fit. Sleep Foundation calls it a budget option and gives it a 7.5 overall score. The Siena Queen is $329, while the Nectar Queen list price is $1,399. Buy it only if you want a medium all-foam feel and the fit works for you.

How firm is the Nectar Luxe Memory Foam, and which firmness should you pick?

Nectar lists the Luxe Memory Foam as medium, while outside ratings range from medium-firm to firm; pick it if that firmer range suits you. Sleep Foundation rated the all-foam Nectar Luxe medium firm (6/10). Mattress Clarity rated the Nectar Luxe Memory Foam 6.5/10, medium-firm. Sleepopolis scored the Nectar Luxe Memory Foam 6 out of 10 on its firmness scale. GoodBed rated it Firm (3) on the GoodBed rating scale (1= firmest, 9 = softest). If you want a distinctly soft feel, these ratings do not support choosing it for that reason.

Is the Nectar Luxe Memory Foam right for your sleep position and body weight?

For sleepers over 230 lb, the Nectar Luxe Memory Foam looks like a clearer fit for side sleep than for back or stomach sleep, based on Sleep Foundation's ratings.

  • Side: Sleep Foundation rated the fit 9.0. Some side sleepers felt too much sinkage and stuck in the mattress. If that feeling would bother you, weigh the score against this comfort risk.
  • Back: The rating was 6.5. Sleep Foundation said the mattress felt too plush to feel adequately supportive. Choose another option if support is your priority.
  • Stomach: The rating was 6.0, the lowest of these positions. That makes it a less-supported choice for stomach sleep.

Sleep Foundation rated edge support 7.0/10. Consider that score separately if edge support matters to your choice.

Is the Nectar Luxe Memory Foam good for back pain?

It may suit some back sleepers with back pain, but pain relief is not guaranteed. Nectar says the American Chiropractic Association endorses it to relieve back pain. That is the brand’s claim, not a promise of relief. Sleep Foundation’s back-sleeper tests found it best suited to sleepers under 130 pounds. Sleepopolis says average-weight back sleepers may get lower-back contouring that could help with pain. Mattress Clarity’s back-and-side tester, who often has back pain, reported no issues and good lower-back support. Sleep Advisor calls it a solid choice for lightweight and average-weight sleepers with back pain. Tom’s Guide says its lead tester’s mother-in-law felt less stiff in the morning and had less severe back pain.

How cool or hot does it sleep?

It sleeps closer to neutral than warm, though some tests found heat build-up. Nectar says its cover has cooling fibers, breathable, cool-to-the-touch fabric, and an antimicrobial treatment. Sleep Advisor measured 68.4 degrees at first and 76.6 degrees after five minutes. After another five-minute round, it measured 75.7 degrees. NapLab recorded a 75.4° F baseline, an 87.1° F maximum, and an 81.4° F ending temperature. Mattress Clarity measured 67.8 to 73.6 degrees after roughly seven minutes and rated cooling good. Sleepopolis found the temperature rose 6.7 degrees in its five-minute test and rated cooling good. Fortune gave it 5 out of 5. It reported the bed returned to baseline in three minutes and fifteen seconds.

Will you feel your partner move?

A light sleeper may feel a restless partner move on the Nectar Luxe. NapLab reported motion transfer of 8.7 and an acceleration range of 7.88 m/s². It measured 5.37 in of bounce and called it very low. Mattress Clarity scored motion isolation 3/5 and bounce low, with a bounce height of 6 in. These readings do not promise that movement will go unnoticed. If movement wakes you, plan a separate sleep space on restless nights instead of relying on this mattress to stop it.

How is it built?

The Nectar Luxe has two covers and three foam layers, listed from top to bottom. Compare its layer order and thickness with another mattress before you buy.

  • Pressure Relieving Memory Foam: 3 inches of pressure-relieving memory foam.
  • Responsive Support Foam: 3 inches of responsive support foam.
  • Motion Isolation Foam: 8 inches of foundational foam.

Materials and certifications

The Luxe has a soft fabric cover with cooling fibers and an antimicrobial treatment; CertiPUR-US® applies to flexible polyurethane foam only. Nectar says its standards cover that foam’s content, emissions, and durability. The certification does not apply to the cover or whole mattress, so compare the cover and foam as separate material details.

Does the Nectar Luxe Memory Foam have fiberglass?

Nectar says the Luxe Memory Foam is 100% fiberglass-free. Nectar says the mattress’s flexible polyurethane foam is CertiPUR-US certified for content, emissions, and durability. This certification applies to the foam, not the whole mattress. Check the law tag, which lists the mattress materials, before buying. Review the listed materials and decide whether they fit your needs.

How long will it last, and does it need flipping or rotating?

Sleep Foundation expects the Nectar Luxe to last at least six or seven years with proper care. Treat that as a planning guide, not a set replacement date. The estimate can help you think ahead about replacing the mattress, but it does not promise that your bed will last that long. Use it to plan for a future replacement, while remembering it is an estimate, not a guarantee.

Delivery, setup and old mattress removal

Nectar says the bed ships boxed to your door by FedEx or UPS Ground, but setup is not included. Delivery takes 1 to 2 days to ship, then about 2 to 5 business days, so plan for the wait before replacing your mattress. White Glove setup costs $199 for up to two items, and old mattress removal is included with that service. State recycling fees apply in CA, RI and CT, so budget for those if you live there.

Trials, returns and fees

Nectar says you have 365 nights to decide whether to keep the mattress, and the return fee is $0. If you return it, the refund excludes shipping, White Glove, state recycling fees, and offer-code discounts, so the amount returned can be less than the amount paid.

What does the warranty cover, and what voids it?

Nectar covers original purchasers for sag over 1.5 in, with no end year. Selling it ends coverage. Improper-base sag isn't covered; normal softening isn't a defect. An inappropriate foundation or box spring, or cover removal, voids it; use firm, solid support.

Claim through Nectar's return request process. Nectar provides a new mattress at no charge, with original warranty dates. From year 10 on, Nectar chooses repair and re-cover or replacement; $50 transport each way applies unless Nectar confirms a defect. Year 10 falls in both no-charge replacement and repair-or-replace periods; confirm with Nectar which applies to your year-10 claim.

Original purchaser only; ends if you sell the mattress
Sag needed for a claim
More than 1.5 in
Not covered if the sag comes from an improper base; normal softening is not a defect

The FAQ says repair or replace "for free"; the terms add the $50 each-way fee in years 10 and on unless a defect is confirmed

What do owners like and complain about?

Owner feedback is mixed: Nectar's own site gives the mattress a 4.4 score from 4,612 reviews, while Sleep Advisor reports both praise and complaints. The rating is from the seller's site, not an independent review pool.

Sleep Advisor says owner feedback includes pain-relief praise. A recent verified buyer on Nectar's site said their morning back pain stopped after purchase, but that is one person's experience.

For the downside, Sleep Advisor summarizes complaints about softness and sagging. On Reddit, an owner who tried the Luxe Memory Foam among three models said they felt too soft and sagged under weight. If you dislike a soft-feeling mattress, weigh these complaints before you buy.
