The 30-second verdict
Yes for most buyers seeking a medium hybrid, but side sleepers over 230 lbs have the clearest tested fit. The catch is that sleeper-fit scores vary by position. For a budget pick, consider Allswell Luxe Hybrid: its Queen price is $387, compared with the Studio Chill Queen list price of $1,319. Sleep Foundation gives Allswell a 7.6 overall test lab score, which is not directly comparable with Leesa's sleeper-fit scores. The available ratings support side sleepers over 230 lbs most strongly at 8.5/10; treat the back score of 6.0/10 and stomach score of 5.5/10 as cautions, not grounds to rule out other shoppers.

Studio Chill
Sizes6Twin to Cal King
Pros
Side-sleeper cushioning. Sleep Foundation found the cushioning gently cradled body curves.
Temperature regulation. Sleep Foundation rated temperature control 7.5/10 and described its regulation as very good.
Edge support. Sleep Foundation scored edge support 8.5/10.
Shared weight support. Leesa says the mattress supports 600 lbs combined, with 300 lbs on each side.
Cons
Firmness mismatch. Leesa labels the feel signature medium, but GoodBed rated it Firm (3).
Motion transfer. NapLab measured 11.64 m/s² acceleration and 0.82 seconds of motion duration, which it described as moderately high transfer.
Cool-touch feel. Tom's Guide testers did not feel an immediate cool-to-the-touch effect, though they did not feel warm or stuffy in a heavily air-conditioned showroom without bedding.
Moderate bounce. NapLab measured 8.40 in of total bounce height and described the bounce as moderate.
How firm is the Studio Chill, and which firmness should you pick?
Leesa lists Medium-Firm as its firmness option; GoodBed’s Firm (3) is an outside reading, not another choice. Leesa describes Medium-Firm as its signature medium firmness. GoodBed rated the Studio Chill Hybrid on its own scale, where 1 is firmest and 9 is softest. That puts GoodBed’s score toward the firm end of its scale, but it is not a firmness you can order. Choose Leesa’s listed option if its medium label matches your preference. Neither reading assigns this mattress to a particular sleeper type.

Is the Studio Chill right for your sleep position and body weight?
The Leesa Studio Chill looks like a better fit for side sleepers than for back or stomach sleepers in Sleep Foundation’s over-230-lb results. Sleep Foundation scored side sleepers 8.5/10, back sleepers 6.0/10, and stomach sleepers 5.5/10. Side sleeping is the strongest match in these scores. For back sleepers in that band, a firmer mattress may offer stronger support, according to Sleep Foundation.
Sleep Foundation says stomach sleepers over 130 lbs experience more midsection sinkage; consider whether that feels right for you. Leesa says the weight limit is 600 lbs combined, with 300 lbs on each side, so couples should stay within both limits. Sleep Foundation rated edge support 8.5/10, a strong result if edge support matters in your choice.

Neck: lying on your side, ask if your pillow and the bed keep your head in line with your spine.
Shoulders: ask if the shoulder under you settles in, or if you feel a pinch after a few minutes.
Back: lying face up, slide a hand under your waist. A big gap or no room at all is a sign of a poor match.
Hips: ask if your hips dip lower than your shoulders, like lying in a shallow bowl.
Four checks: lie still for a few minutes in the position you sleep in most, then notice how each spot feels. These are comfort checks, not a medical test.Sources (2)
The Leesa Studio Chill may suit people with back pain, but Sleep Foundation’s recommendation is not a promise of pain relief. Sleep Foundation lists people with back pain among the sleepers this model is best for and says its zoned core gives back sleepers extra lower-back support while cushioning elsewhere. Leesa says its zoned springs concentrate support under the hips. Those are two distinct support claims to weigh when deciding whether this mattress fits your needs.

It sleeps neutral rather than warm, based on Tom's Guide testers, who never felt warm or stuffy. They did not feel an immediate cool-to-the-touch effect. Their test used no bedding in a heavily air-conditioned showroom.
Leesa lists a cool-to-the-touch cover, copper-infused foam, plant-based GreenFlex Foam, and up to 1,032 zoned springs to boost airflow through the core. NapLab recorded 74.3°F at baseline, 89.5°F after 15 minutes lying on it, and 78.4°F after 5 minutes with no one on it. Sleep Foundation rated temperature control 7.5/10 and described regulation as very good.

The Leesa Studio Chill pairs foam layers with springs. Here is the build from top to bottom:
Ultra Cool Cover
1.5 inches of Quilt Foam
1 inch of Copper-infused memory foam
1 inch of GreenFlex BioFoam
8 inches of Zoned Lumbar Springs
0.5 inches of Durable Support Foam
Leesa says it is designed and assembled in the USA. The Queen weighs 87 lbs, so plan for help when moving it. For fitted sheets, check that the pocket depth suits the mattress you choose.
Layers: in the order the brand lists them. Layer order only, not to scale.
The cover is made of 81% Polyester, 17% Polyethylene, and 2% Rayon. Leesa says CertiPUR-US applies to all foams, which meet its standards for emissions. Leesa says GREENGUARD Gold applies to the whole mattress for low chemical emissions, with the aim of improving indoor air quality. For an emissions-focused comparison, check the scope each label names.
Leesa says the Studio Chill is fiberglass-free; it describes the fire barrier as rayon with fire-retardant yarn. To check the materials listed for your mattress, read its law tag. The tag lists the materials, so use it to review what is in the mattress you have rather than relying only on the product description.

Leesa describes the Studio Chill fire barrier as fiberglass-free.
Leesa says this mattress needs a firm, solid-surface base that can support the mattress and sleepers. It also lists slats no more than 5.5 inches apart for adult mattresses, or a box spring on a bed frame. An adjustable base works if it supports the combined weight and keeps the mattress continuously supported. Slats wider than 5.5 inches or direct use on a coil box spring void the Limited Lifetime Warranty.

How long will it last, and does it need flipping or rotating?
Sleep Foundation says to expect at least seven to eight good years from the Leesa Studio Chill Hybrid, giving you a lifespan estimate for planning. Leesa recommends at least 30 nights for the mattress to break in. For care, Leesa says to rotate it once a month for the first three months, then every three to six months. Do not flip it. Leesa says the striped side should face up, and rotation helps the mattress wear evenly.
Rotate or flip
Rotate monthly for the first three months, then every three to six months; do not flip.
Leesa says delivery usually takes 7-15 business days after purchase with Ryder service, and optional Ryder in-home setup and old mattress removal are available. Use that window to plan when you order, and avoid tying your move-in plans to a single delivery day. If your schedule is tight, leave room for the full window before planning around the new mattress. Confirm the service cost before ordering.

Leesa says it covers defects and deep sagging, but base misuse voids the warranty. Covered defects include the foam, springs, and cover. Sagging qualifies only when an indentation is deeper than 1.5 inches. Slats more than 5.5 inches apart or direct use on a coil box spring also void coverage.
For the first 10 years, Leesa says it will repair or replace a defective mattress at no cost. After that, a prorated claim costs 50 percent of the then-current retail price, not a fixed fee.
The owner feedback points to comfort, cooler sleep, and price as positives to weigh. Leesa.com lists 17 reviews and features a five-star owner review praising comfort, not sleeping hot, and the price. That review is an owner's account, not proof the bed will feel cool to you or suit your budget. Tom's Guide also reported that the few user reviews it could glean for this model were positive. Taken together, these comments make comfort and price worth checking against your own needs, but they cannot promise your experience.
