Springfield Mattress is the name we use for Foreverbed, a luxury maker in Springfield, Missouri. Croft Bedding Company runs it, and Brian Croft founded it in 2012. It's best if you want a bespoke luxury bed and a private fitting. You won't find published prices, trial terms or return terms, so you'll need written quotes before you commit.

Chapter 02
Comfort and firmness: which mattress fits you
Why this matters to you: Feel names are the brand's words, not measurements. Use them to shortlist two or three beds, then let your body decide.
Side sleepers should start with Plush feels (Aerie Plush, Cloverfield Plush, Summit) for shoulder and hip pressure relief. Back sleepers should consider Firm feels (Aerie Firm, Cloverfield Firm) to hold spinal alignment on the zoned nested coils. Stomach sleepers: Firm feels are the safer bet against hammocking, but exact firmness ratings and ILDs are Not published as of Sept 2026.
Heavier builds: the zoned honeycomb-nested coil system is marketed for targeted lumbar support, but coil counts, gauges and weight limits are Not published as of Sept 2026. Hot sleepers: graphite Talalay latex, mica-infused Onyx fabric and breathable natural fibers are the cooling story, but independent cooling test data is Not published as of Sept 2026.
Couples: nano coils are said to reduce motion transfer, but independent motion-isolation scores are Not published as of Sept 2026. The brand steers shoppers to a private 60 to 90 minute Springfield fitting instead of publishing position-by-position guidance.

Which Springfield Mattress feel fits you?
Weight chart not yet researched
Weight and sleep position can change how a bed feels. We have not yet checked whether Springfield Mattress publishes a fit chart by body weight, so use a trial, where one is offered, to test the bed the way you sleep at home.
Neck: on your side, your nose should line up with the middle of your chest, not tip up or down.
Shoulders: your bottom shoulder should sink in. Tingling or a numb arm means the bed is too firm for you.
Lower back: on your back, slide a flat hand under your waist. A big gap means too firm; no room at all can mean too soft.
Hips: ask someone to look from the side. Hips lower than shoulders means the bed is too soft for you.
Figure 2.1: Four checks to run in a store, lying still in the position you sleep in most. The store test in chapter 11 says how long to lie on each bed.

Compare the mattresses
Why this matters to you: Models from one brand can differ in feel, height and layers. Match the feel label and height to how you sleep before you compare prices.
Springfield Mattress lists 6 models. Feel names are the brand's labels.
it is the mattress line name used by this Springfield, Missouri maker, which trades publicly as Foreverbed and is operated by Croft Bedding Company (per its LinkedIn company page).

Mattress prices and value
Why this matters to you: A starting price can rise with size, base and delivery. Get the full price for your size in writing before you choose.
No mattress prices are published on foreverbed.com as of Sept 2026; the only online product found is a private mattress-fitting booking, and all collections (Origin, Ascend, Onyx, Hospitality) are sold through private fittings and dealers with bespoke made-to-order pricing.
Value read: Ascend (Cloverfield) is positioned as attainable luxury and should be the entry point, Origin (Aerie, Opulence, Aurora) is the flagship core, Onyx (Summit) is the ultra-luxury top, and Hospitality is contract priced; exact bands, sale events, financing and price-match terms are Not published as of Sept 2026. Expect luxury-atelier pricing well above mass-market hybrids and confirm written quotes before committing.

Chapter 05
How well do the mattresses hold up?
Why this matters to you: A mattress is a long buy. Lean on the written warranty and real owner reports to judge how it will last.
Brand-reported durability: every Foreverbed is advertised as built to endure decades of use and backed by a lifetime warranty, with hand-tufting, graphite Talalay latex and the honeycomb-nested coil system presented as the durability story.
Independent durability testing, owner sag and body-impression surveys, expected-lifespan data, and the warranty's sag-depth threshold and foundation requirements are Not published as of Sept 2026, so longevity claims rest on brand statements alone; ask for the full written warranty before purchase.

Sleep trials, returns, exchanges and fees
Why this matters to you: Feel is hard to judge in a store or in a week. Know your exit plan and its cost before you pay.
No conventional at-home sleep trial is published on foreverbed.com as of Sept 2026; the brand sells through private in-showroom fittings (about 60 to 90 minutes with a sleep specialist) rather than a try-it-at-home window.
Trial length, return eligibility, return shipping or restocking fees, comfort exchanges, damage or stain disqualifiers and refund timing are Not published as of Sept 2026; get return and exchange terms in writing before paying, since bespoke made-to-order beds are often final sale.

Delivery, setup and old-mattress removal
Why this matters to you: Delivery terms decide your first week with the bed. Confirm the date, setup and old-bed removal before you pay.
Beds are made to order in the Webb City, Missouri atelier from American-made materials. Published shipping speeds, shipping fees by ZIP, white-glove setup options, old-mattress removal, threshold versus room-of-choice delivery, and compatible frame, foundation and adjustable-base requirements are Not published as of Sept 2026; confirm delivery method, timing and any setup or haul-away fees in writing with the showroom or dealer before ordering.

What do the warranties cover?
Why this matters to you: A warranty is only as good as its terms. Read the written terms and use a supported base, because the wrong frame can end coverage.
Every Foreverbed is advertised with a lifetime warranty (styled Lifetime Guarantee), described as backing lasting performance, comfort and craftsmanship for generations.
The covered-defect definitions, sag-depth minimum, foundation and support requirements, law-tag or registration steps, transportation and inspection charges, commercial and Hospitality exclusions, and the claim process are Not published as of Sept 2026; request the complete written warranty document from the showroom or dealer before purchase.

Chapter 09
Review counts checked on each site · they change daily
Customer reviews and complaints
Why this matters to you: Star ratings depend on who posts and where. Read the low-star reviews for patterns, not just the average.
The official site runs an on-site testimonial slideshow of three rotating customer testimonials plus fitting-focused praise copy; verbatim review counts, star ratings and third-party aggregates (Google, BBB, Yelp, Sleep Foundation, Mattress Clarity, Sleepopolis) could not be verified, so scores and complaint rates are Not published as of Sept 2026.
Plausible friction points for this format (showroom-first bespoke buying with no published prices or trial terms) are price transparency and return flexibility, but verified complaint evidence is Not published as of Sept 2026; shoppers should request references and read dealer reviews.

Chapter 10
What are the mattresses made of?
Why this matters to you: Layer names say little without numbers. Ask what is inside your exact model, layer by layer.
Comfort layers (brand-reported): Belgian damask cover, meticulously hand-tufted; Malpaca alpaca fleece described as softer than cashmere with moisture-wicking, thermal regulation, natural fire resistance and hypoallergenic, dust-mite-resistant properties; graphite Talalay latex for heat-conducting buoyant responsiveness; nano coils for micro-support, airflow and reduced motion transfer; Serene memory foam with an open-cell, temperature-stable design for pressure relief; Onyx models add mica-infused cool-to-the-touch fabric.
Support: patented zoned nested pocketed coils in a honeycomb-nested layout for targeted lumbar support and hip-zone pressure relief. Foams are described as CertiPUR-US certified; full certification listings, latex percentages, foam densities, coil counts and gauges, and per-model top-to-bottom layer stacks are Not published as of Sept 2026.

Where can you try and buy the mattresses?
Why this matters to you: Where you buy sets the price, the trial and who handles problems. Check the seller's terms, not just the brand's.
Try and buy at the Foreverbed Flagship Store, 2714 S Glenstone Avenue, Springfield, MO 65804, via private 60 to 90 minute fittings booked through foreverbed.com; contact-page phones include 417-890-9797 and 417-952-2099. Springfield Mattress vs. other mattress brands
Why this matters to you: A fair comparison needs the same facts for both beds. Line up price, trial and warranty for each one.
Versus Aireloom and Kluft: all three sell handcrafted luxury innerspring and latex hybrids with hand-tufting and natural fibers, while Foreverbed counters with its patented honeycomb-nested coils, graphite Talalay latex and a lifetime-warranty headline; head-to-head spec and price winners are Not published as of Sept 2026.
Versus Stearns and Foster Lux Estate: Stearns offers national availability with published prices and conventional trials, while Foreverbed offers bespoke Ozarks-made construction with no published prices or trial. Versus Shifman: both lean into handcrafted luxury heritage, differing on regional availability and published terms.
Versus DTC luxury (Saatva, Avocado): DTC rivals publish prices, trials and warranties online, while Foreverbed is showroom-first and bespoke; shoppers prioritizing transparency should prefer DTC, shoppers prioritizing a private fitting and local craftsmanship should visit Springfield.
Competitor details reflect published prices and specs on the date shown. Mattress brands may update prices and trial terms over time.

How we research and report
This page is an early draft built from our research sheet for Springfield Mattress. We read the brand's own pages and public listings, and we do not test mattresses ourselves. Fields marked "Not yet researched" are still being checked.
This review starts with foreverbed.com pages (Sept 2026: homepage, Foreverbed Story, Origin, Ascend, Onyx and Hospitality collections, Aerie, Aurora, Opulence and Summit model pages, Flagship Store, Dealer Locator, Become a Dealer, Mission and Contact), with brand claims labeled as brand-reported throughout.
No online mattress prices, sleep-trial terms, delivery terms, warranty document or verifiable third-party review aggregates were found on retrievable pages, so those gaps are recorded as Not published as of Sept 2026 rather than estimated.
