The 30-second verdict
Yes for side sleepers under 150 lbs. The catch is its soft feel: NapLab says some back sleepers in that group may find the sinkage too deep, and rates stomach-sleeper fit No. For more bounce, the Saatva Classic is a better fit: NapLab measured 12.53 inches of total bounce on it. Its Queen price is $2,229; this Nectar's Queen list price is $2,249. Best supported for side sleepers under 150 lbs. who want a soft feel.

Nectar Ultra Hybrid
Sizes7Twin to Split King
Pros
Cooling airflow. Nectar says its cooling fibers and individually wrapped coils help with airflow.
Zoned pressure relief. Nectar says its support foam targets pressure relief at the shoulders, back, and hips.
Lifespan estimate. NapLab estimates a 10-12 year lifespan, giving buyers a range to weigh against the upfront cost.
Cons
Sitting edge. NapLab rates sitting edge support as mediocre, so sitting on the edge may feel less supportive.
Foam certification. CertiPUR-US certifies flexible polyurethane foam, not the entire mattress.
Paid setup. Nectar does not include setup; White Glove service costs $199 for up to two items.
No rotation. Nectar says this mattress should not be flipped or rotated.
How firm is the Nectar Ultra Hybrid, and which firmness should you pick?
The Nectar Ultra Hybrid's firmness choice is soft, 1-3 (Soft) on Nectar's scale, but weigh the outside reading too. That reading points in a firmer direction, so the brand label alone may not match how you expect the mattress to feel. Nectar and GoodBed use different scales, so do not treat the labels as equal measures. If you prefer a soft label, Nectar's option fits that preference; the outside result is a reason to be cautious about assuming the bed will feel soft to you.

Is the Nectar Ultra Hybrid right for your sleep position and body weight?
For sleepers under 150 lbs., NapLab rates side fit Yes, back fit Maybe, and stomach fit No, so side sleeping is the clearest match. NapLab says some back sleepers may find the sinkage too deep, making back sleeping a less certain choice.
Nectar says Twin and Twin XL support 500 lbs, while Full, Queen, King, Split King, and Cal King support 1,000 lbs distributed evenly. Check the limit for your size before sharing the bed, since the capacity changes by size.
NapLab found mediocre sitting edge support and good lying edge support. Expect less support when sitting at the edge than when lying there, so factor that trade-off in if you sit on the edge often.

Edges
Edge support, outside tester
NapLab: mediocre sitting edge support; good lying edge support.
Neck: lying on your side, ask if your pillow and the bed keep your head in line with your spine.
Shoulders: ask if the shoulder under you settles in, or if you feel a pinch after a few minutes.
Back: lying face up, slide a hand under your waist and ask if your lower back feels supported or left hanging.
Hips: ask if your hips dip lower than your shoulders, like lying in a shallow bowl.
Four checks: lie still for a few minutes in the position you sleep in most, then notice how each spot feels. These are comfort checks, not a medical test.Sources (2)
The Nectar Ultra Hybrid is not a clear back-pain pick from these signals alone. Nectar says its zoned ergonomic support layer targets pressure relief to the shoulders, back, and hips. A Tom's Guide testing-team member said she thought the mattress would give her back pain. That is her expectation, not a report that it caused pain. Treat Nectar's statement as a brand claim, not a reason to expect pain relief.

NapLab’s test suggests heat build-up, so this may not feel neutral if you sleep hot. Nectar says the top cover has cooling fibers and phase change material, while its individually wrapped coils are meant to improve airflow. NapLab recorded a baseline of 75.8° F, a max of 88.9° F, and an ending reading of 80.6° F, still above baseline. Tom’s Guide rated temperature control 4.5 out of 5, a more reassuring result. If you sleep warm, treat the results as mixed rather than a cooling guarantee.

Cooling top cover with cooling fibers, phase change material, and individually wrapped coils for airflow.
NapLab’s readings do not promise that a light sleeper will sleep through a restless partner. NapLab gave motion transfer a score of 8.6 and recorded acceleration of 8.22 m/s². It also listed bounce height at 6.18″ and bounce feel as Low. Treat Low as a description of bounce, not a guarantee that partner movement will go unnoticed. If movement could wake you, compare these readings with another mattress before choosing.

How long will it last, and does it need flipping or rotating?
NapLab lists 10-12 years for the Nectar Ultra Hybrid, a rough replacement window rather than a set end date. Nectar says most sleepers adjust within about 30 days, so allow that time before judging whether the feel suits you.
Nectar says not to flip or rotate it. Leave it in place rather than turning it over or around as part of care.
The brand says the Nectar Ultra Hybrid arrives boxed at your door by FedEx or UPS Ground. Shipping takes 1 to 2 days, then about 2 to 5 business days. Standard setup is not included; White Glove setup costs $199 for up to two items and includes old mattress removal. State recycling fees apply in CA, RI and CT, so budget for them there.

Nectar's terms give original buyers coverage with no end year for sag deeper than 1.5 in. Selling the mattress ends coverage. Normal softening and sag from an improper base are not defects. Firm, solid support is required; an inappropriate foundation or box spring, or removing the cover, voids coverage.
To claim, use the return request process. Nectar may repair and re-cover or replace the mattress. A new replacement is at no charge in years 1 to 10 and keeps the warranty dates, but $50 transport each way from year 10 on can apply unless Nectar confirms a defect. No proration applies.

Tom's Guide says owners praise the cloud-like feel and pain easing, while reviews with lower ratings link back pain to the mattress's soft feel. That is the trade-off: this feel may suit you if you want a cloud-like bed, but may not suit you if a soft bed worries you. Take the praise as a sign of what some reviewers like, not a promise that the bed will ease your pain. If back pain is a concern, pause before you choose it.
